Short reference: Vashkov, Sergey Ivanovich (4 (16) of July 1879, Sergiev Posad - 7 (20) November 1914, Moscow) - Russian artist, architect, designer and teacher. One of the Masters of Moscow Modern. 4 (16) of July 1879 was born in Sergiev Posad in the family of Journalist Ivan Andreevich Vashkov (1846-1893). In 1893, he began to study at the Imperial Stroganovsky School of Technical Drawing, which graduated in 1901 with the title of the scientist. In 1900 he passed a practice in the jewelry workshop K. Faberge. Even before receiving a diploma, he was invited to work by the Moscow firm of the church utensils "Chamber of Commerce and Industry P.I. Tinyanishnikova with sons ", where he was engaged in updating the design by a religious utensil to the company. In 1901, he became the artistic director of the Ting Factory. In 1911, the fundamental edition of "religious art" was reached, in which photographs of items were collected in the drawings of S.I. Vashkov. To the most significant works of the artist in this genre, according to Art historian M.V. Nachokina, belong: the tomb of the St. Paul of Obnorsky in Vologda, the tombs of Hermogene and Makaria in the Moscow Kremlin, the tombstones of carnew and zybin in Moscow and a number of others. Washing created his own original art language, which combined the ancient Russian and the ancient Christian motifs. In his works, the artist used Skan, Filigree, Chacking, Tree Thread, Finife and other traditional techniques, but combined them with original ways. In 1909, Archbishop Anthony (Khrapovitsky) excitedly noticed:

"The Lord cleared of us, lovers of church adultery: the ancient inspired creativity of the sacred objects was restored by the new artist S.I. Vashkov, whom the name will take one of the honorable places in the history of our church adoption, can, along with Andrey Rublev and Simon Ushakov. "

The architectural works of Vashkov are small, however, it is important for the history of Moscow modern. Shortly before death, in 1913, the new Art Lamp art magazine was founded with like-minded people and became its editor-in-chief. From March 1914 served as a regular teacher of the Stroganovsky school. He lived in Moscow on Arbat, 12 and on Chistoprudny Boulevard, 14. He was buried at the Vagankov cemetery.

Vashkov, Sergey Ivanovich (Sergiev Posad 4 (16) .07.1879 - Moscow, 7 (20) .11.1914)

In 1893 he received and in 1901 he graduated from the Imperial Stroganovsky School of Technical Drawing with the title of the scientist. At the same time, his work was attention to the well-known Moscow firm of the church utensils - the commercial and industrial partnership P.I. Tinyanichnikova with sons. I have not yet received a diploma, in 1901, Vashkov was invited by the artistic director of the Ting Factory and fully dedicated himself to updating the traditional, but long ago, which had long fallen from the context of modern artistic development of the industry - the creation of a unique, authentic artistic utensils. A peculiar report of Vashkov about the work at the Tin Factory was the fundamental edition of Religious Art (Moscow, 1911), which is an album of photographs of church and civil utensils, made according to its drawings. The most significant creatures of the artist in this genre include: the tomb of the St. Paul of Obnorsky in Vologda, the tombs of Hermogene and Makaria in the Moscow Kremlin, the tombstones of carnew and zybin in Moscow; Finishing and interior decoration of churches in the estate of the "New Charterry" in the Volyn province and in the Fedorovsky town of the Tsarist village near St. Petersburg, the temple of the Krasnostok Monastery of the Grodno province. In these works, Vashkov, combining old-Russian motifs with ancient Christian, synthesized its original plastic language, in which medieval forms received a new reading, reflecting the subject-spatial vision of the man of the beginning of the XX century. Actually, it was possible that it was possible to fully implement the idea of creating a whole aesthetically meaningful medium, which was still developed by the B. Morris. The syntheticism of his artistic thinking was based on a lively feeling of the hand-made Old Russian art in his manifestations, which he learned on trips across Russia, and on a thin sense of rhythm and style of modernity. After ten years, formulating their creative credo, I wrote this:

"I didn't consider it necessary to copy the ancient samples of art in the continuation of ten years of work, to repeat what has long been expressed and experienced ... Forms of plastic art, as well as literary forms, should develop and change, causing all new species, but not losing Its typical. A language that does not change under the influence of new forms becomes dead. The same thing happens with the art. "

Thanks to the mobility activities, Vashkov, after almost two-century dominance of trivial handicrafts in the temples of Russia, began to re-act truly artistic works of their time, arguing the revival of church art - one of the most ancient national species of decorative and applied art. The artist widely used almost all traditional equipment for Russia - Skan, Filigree, Chacking, Tree Thread, Metal Spectacle, Casting, Finife, Silk Sewing, Inserts from Gemstones, etc. However, the combination of them, as a rule, was unusual - wooden carving and enamel, scan and carving on pearl, beaded sewing and decorative silver casting, painting and precious fabrics. As a diverse material of Vashkov, such exots like wood coconut was used. A huge role in the creative formation of Vashkov played V.M. Vasnetsov. The young artist considered him his teacher, although the masters did not appear formally. This statement can be understood - it is Vasnetsov in the 1870-180s that most clearly and artistically denoted the path of the development of national Russian art, based on immersion in the element of folk creativity and folklore, which was very fruitful for the development of the unaware style. In a certain sense, you can draw a parallel between the works of M.V. Nesterova, who developed the Vasnets principles in painting, and the works of Vashkov in applied art, also in many respects inherited an outstanding painter. Often to both of both the shade of a reverent, aesthetically sensual attitude towards the Old Russian art, the desire to read it in the spirit of modern religious-nostalgic symbolism - the characteristic sign of the era. These qualities are read and in the architectural works of Vashkov. He was engaged in architectural design on occasion, so his work in this area is small, but are extremely important for their time. A widely known proficient house in Moscow at the church of St. Trinity "What's on Mud", designed and built in 1908-1909. - The first experience of the artist in the architecture, where he, in fact, acted as a decorator of the previously designed facility. The main decorative theme of the building was the "carpet" of decorative reliefs, stylizing bas-reliefs of the Dmitrovsky Cathedral in Vladimir. Vashkov "inhabited" the front plane is clumsy a fabulous beast, paradise birds and unprecedented plants. Here, as it were, a symbol characteristic of the era, a refund to mythological characters, seen in a new way. Even more purposefully and originally handling Vashkov to the world of Russian folklore was realized in the wooden Dacha I.A. Alexandrenko, erected in 1908 in the village of Klyazma. She paid attention to the individuality of the figurative characteristic, the integrity of the architectural and stylistic solution of the entire site (in the same character, the artist was designed by economic buildings, garden benches, lights, a fence with a carved gate and wickets), brightly multiweight wooden scene threads, stained glass windows, tile stoves and fireplaces and, finally, by the feeling of genuine guides, which breathe all the creation of Vashkov. Among the images placed on the facades of the Klajazmin Dacha, you can find many ancient symbols that worried her author - Beregin, the bird of an alkonost, a double-headed eagle, finally a lamb, personifying Christ, Peacock - the bird of Eden and others. The poetry of the artistic language is the flesh , not tired admire the beauty of life, harmony and the perfection of nature. He wrote: "In the moments of admiration, the art adds fantastic fairy tales, in which the sky, and the sun, the moon and the stars come to life, all the forces of nature are spiritualized, and the animal world speaks the human language and shares his admiration." In this sensitive, the nature of the artist was exposed to the votes of the commodity world, the nature of the peculiar world of the symbolism, imbued with the images of the change of seasons, individual natural states, their relationship with human passions. In 1910, Vashkov designed a chip-acting school for the village of Klyazma, and in 1914 made sketches of the monument temple in honor of the 300th anniversary of the Romanov's house. This is the top of his creativity, the visible embodiment of his artistic worldview. The elegant amount of one-eyed temple was generously decorated with ploty majolica, subsequently made by the Abramtsev plant. Sustainable death did not allow the artist to complete his work; The church was erected after his death in 1914-1916. Arch. IN AND. Motyhal. The shape of the temple has figuratively to the monuments of Moscow XV-XVI centuries. And, in particular, "Godunovsky" architecture. However, their interpretation reflects the effect of modern aesthetics, focusing on the visual perfection of architectural details, directed towards simplicity and laconism of the architectural language. The project of the temple is interesting to compare with the projects of the Old Believers Temples I.E. Bondarenko - Such a comparison is irrefutable indicative of the influence of this new modern reservoir of religious architecture on the work of Vashkov. Shortly before death, in 1913. The artist with a group of like-minded people created a new art magazine "Luminaire", designed to popularize domestic art and scientific research in the field of its history. Being the chief editor of the publication, Vashkov managed to rally around himself an authoritative circle of artists and scientists. In his editorial board consisted of D.V. Ainalov, N.P. Kondakov, N.V. Pokrovsky, A.V. Prakhov, F.I. Schmidt, N.I. Troitsky, V.M. Vasnetsov, M.V. Nesterov, A.V. Shchusov and others. Impellent literary activity, the artist not only edited, but he himself wrote an article about Russian art for the magazine, which complements his creative portrait.

The contribution of the entrepreneurial surname of tinynichene in the development of Russian religious art at the end of the XIX - the beginning of the twentieth centuries

Starting a conversation about the jewelry Russian art of the XIX-early twentieth century, we immediately list the largest and most significant Russian (St. Petersburg and Moscow) jewelry firms - Faberge, Sazikov, Khlebnikov, Postnikov, believing that it is necessary to attribute it to manufacturers of church bells. However, in the jewelry of Tinichnikov, left a bright footprint, creating great works in the "Russian style" (or as they are also called "unusual style" or disapprovingly - "pseudorusskim"). The rich Yaroslavl merchant family of tin-headed to the beginning of the twentieth century owned 35 stone beads, bell-casting and pig-leather factories in Yaroslavl, lead-leather, sprayed and lead plants in the village of Volokuchi Yaroslavl province, as well as trade offices in the capital (St. Petersburg), Moscow, Tula, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod and Vologda, Church Utensil factory in Moscow. Regarding the jewelry religious art, it is necessary to talk about the Moscow Tolshnishnikovsky factory, at which 206 workers worked in 1917. In its importance, this factory in Moscow was inferior only by the leading factory of the jewelry industry belonging to the company "I.P. Khlebnikov Sons and Co.. With the St. Petersburg School of Karl Faberge, the Tshanichnikov could not. Faberge was one of the world leaders in jewelry art. A wide range of church utensils from silver, gold and bronze, priesthood, furniture and church sculptures made of wood and marble was produced at the Tollyanichnikovsky Factory. In addition to products of religious purposes in the factory, secular products are also manufactured (for example, lamps and dishes). Tinyanichnikov was taken for responsible and time-consuming orders for the manufacture of cancer for the relics and church heads. The emergence of the unique "Russian style" of the church utensils of the firm of tinynishnikov is associated with the name of the beloved student V. M. Vasnetsov - Talented artist Sergey Ivanovich Vashkov (1879 - 1904), which for more than 15 years he headed the art department of the factory. The artist was confident that the appointment of artwork factory was to bring up the aesthetic and moral sense of man. The ideas laid down in an art product should be understood by a person, its preventing. Ideas available to understanding, Vashkov found in the art of early Christians and in the art of ancient Russia. Wheel and his co-workers were created in a true national spirit, so art historians considered their works of stylistically close arts of Russian folk decorative arts. The church utensils created by them was alien to social elitism, as it was focused on the Bogomoles from all social layers, united by common participation in the sacraments. Vashkov was an opponent of a meaningless decoration of church utensils and considered it necessary to use only a symbolism, carrying Christian semantic load: a pigeon with an olive branch ("Noeva Golubitsa"), a fish (secret symbol of the first Christians), a lamb, Phoenix bird (the secret symbol of Christ at the forefish) and etc. From the folk art of Vashkov borrowed images of Lviv and birds Sirin in ornaments, but still he sought the greatest simplicity of lines. Stones in Vashkov products found a place only if necessary for a clear emphasis of the composition. Possessing an impeccable artistic taste, a clock and a solid religious worldview, the artist avoided lightness and alappost, preferred gold oxidized silver and riselled bronze. He preferred gold in the form of gilding. At the international exhibition in Turin in 1911, S. I. Vashkov received a gold medal, and the company itself received four (!) Grand Prix and a special award "For cooperation". Viktor Ivanovich Tshanichnikov (1874 - 1932) received an honorary diploma at this exhibition. On the eve of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Imperial House of the Romanovs, the firm of the firm of the Golovnikovnikov was carried out by the order of state importance: Cathedral ensemble and church utensils for the cathedral under construction in St. Petersburg in the Name of the Feodor Icon of the Mother of God in memory of the 300th anniversary of the reign of the Romanov House in Mirgorod Street in Nikolaevsky (now Moscow) station. The construction initiative of this temple proceeded from the "Union of the Russian People", and built the temple on nationwide donations. The winner of the Competition of the projects of the church was the civil engineer S.S. Krcchinsky, who submitted a project in the style of the Rostov temples of the XVII century. The temple was already built on technology of the new - twentieth century - from reinforced concrete. He was built in about two years (1911-1913). The facade of the temple, lined with a white anti-stone stone with an ornament of work V.I. Traubenberg, decorating the pedigree tree of Romanovs and the farodore icon, made from Maitolia in the workshop PK Vaulina in drawing artist S.P. Chekhonin. Another icon posted on the entrance was made in drawing V.M. Vasnetsova in mosaic technique. The iconostasis of the temple was cut out of the Linden in the Moscow workshop of Palekhsky icon painter I.M. Dico region, there were kyots there and wrote icons - copies of the Old Russian. In the same workshop made Calvary and royal place. The painting of the temple in the style of frescoes Dionysius in a feraphant monastery was commissioned to create V.S. Shcherbakov. The sovereign retinue was ordered by the firm of the tin-headed silver daochranitor in the form of a reduced copy of the Assumption Cathedral in the Kremlin. She was presented to the retinue of His Majesty by the Boodore Cathedral. The tinyanishnikovskaya firm produced a liturgical vessels for the cathedral, coping the vessels of the XVII century from the Kostroma Ipatiev Monastery. Bells were also cast with the names of the members of the royal family. According to the project, Vashkov was created a genuine masterpiece - openwork bronze panicadal in the form of a monoma hat with a diameter of three soot. A valid event in the life of the Russian jewelry art was the manufacture of Tinovnikhnikov at the Moscow factory on the project of Vashkov's loyal diplomas of the Russian nobility on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the house of Romanovs, the casket and the dish to bring her sovereign. The casket was made of cast silver, decorated with enamels and precious stones. The larz tent lid was crowned with a red winged griffin with a black sword and a shield - the coat of arms of the boyar of Romanov. The dish was an excellent carved product from the mammoth dice, marked in silver and the carrier image of the state coat of arms of the Russian Empire. In 1913, the Moscow Factory of Tinyanichnikov received a high and honorary title of supplier of the highest yard. Before the beginning of World War I, the imperial surname managed to place a large order in the factory - coat of arms and cancer for the reservoirs of St. Patriarch Hermogene for the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin. This work was the last for a wonderful Russian artist and Yevelira Vashkov. He died in 1914. Many art historians tend to believe that this last work Sergei Vashkov is his best, the most perfect work on the integrity and harness of the artistic solution. In 1918, the victims of the Bolsheviks were closed by Yaroslavl bell joint and the Moscow Factory of the Church Utensil. The lead-leather plant was nationalized in Yaroslavl, who lived as a sufficiently successful enterprise to this day. The most tragic for Russia is that the majority of the best works of the firm of the tin "died. The magnificent decoration of the Feodorovsky Cathedral in St. Petersburg did not reach us. Now it is re-creation. Material about the masterpieces of jewelry art created by the masters of the firm of tinynishnikov, was used when conducting lessons in world artistic culture and Russian church art (elective course) in the St. Petersburg Orthodox Gymnasium of St. Burd Great Prince Alexander Nevsky in 2004-2012. In order to create a visual series, a rich illustrative material was used in these lessons, as the tinynic studies themselves were the owners of the monthly lamp magazine dedicated to the religious art of Russia and its history. The "lamp" was published in 1913-1917, published articles on church archeology, theological issues, work on the outstanding works of architecture and art following the national traditions. The magazine was decorated perfectly and contained from 10 to 15 illustrates for 30-60 pages of text. In 1911, Tinichnikov released the album-collection "Russian religious art", where the products of the factory were presented for 1901 - 1911. The album contained 188 sheets of tone photos with images of more than 300 pieces of church utensils, 41 sample handmade brocade and 38 secrecy items.

In Moscow, a huge variety of magnificent luxury buildings, creating a unique ensemble of the city - the open-air museum. Architectural styles of different eras can be observed on the streets of the capital. These are classic portico with colonnade, smooth erkers of modern balconies, "non-Russian" windows of windows and gothic turrets in the corners of houses. But the pedestrian's attention is invariably attracting two Moscow houses with incredible beauty by carved patterns by the facade.

One of them Muscovites nicknamed "home with beasts." Everyone is surprised and guess what is this house? Now in the lower floor of the house there is aquarium, and people are all the more associated this building with something "animal." However, this house was built in 1908-09. as profitable for people of the Trinity Church on Mudwhich is located on the street Pokrovka and is currently restored. The project of the house was developed by architect Lviv Ludwigich (Leon Woacek), with the participation of the construction engineer Peter Karlovich Mikini. Both of them took place from the Poles, but they studied and worked in Russia. Money on building houses were highlighted by a merchant family of tinwhose members were trustees and spinners of this church and lived on cover. The family owned a famous to the Revolution of the Factory of Church Products, on which products made of gold, silver, bronze, wood, brocade vestments were manufactured.

At the beginning of the 20th century, an appeal to the ancient Russian motifs of antiquity was included in Moscow architectural practice, and architect Kraveksky conceived to decorate the facade of the house fabulous bas-reliefs. For sketches of future jewelry took famous architect, designer and artist Sergey Ivanovich Vashkov. Samples for fantastic animals, birds and trees served as an artist bas-relief Dmitrievsky Cathedral in Vladimirthat S.I. Vashov considered the top of Vladimir architecture. But the artist did not just copy these ancient drawings, but created on their basis unique unique mythical images of unthinkable lions, griffins, unicorns and other fabulous beings. Although more ancient images of stock animals can be seen on the St. George Cathedral in Yuriev-Polsky.

St. George Cathedral Yuryev-Polish

The house was originally built in the three floors - the parishioners of the church lived on the first floor, and the other two were intended for rent and profit. When in Soviet years, the house has become a communal service, then in 1945 there are two more floors under housing. Now on the lower floors of the house there is a marine aquarium-oceanarium, the Russian Bibliophile Antique Book Store, and on other floors "Apart Hostel" and residential apartments. With a detailed history of the Church of the Trinity on the mud, an amazing icon "Three joys" and an unusual "house with beasts" you can meet .

Another unusual house, nicknamed Muscovites "Lace" or "Openwork" , Located on Leningrad Prospect (d. 27). It was built in 1940-1941 on the project of architects A. Buur and B. Blokhin. Shortly before the war, these architects erected three series of large-scale houses from concrete blocks. This house was the third and best in this experiment, since at that time concrete was needed by the country on the construction of factories and strengthening structures, and from concrete blocks, residential buildings were not massively built. The house was erected before the war itself and in fact was the exemplary start of Soviet large-scale constructionSince it used blocks of maximum size, height into a whole floor, which remain those and in our time.

The method of collecting construction from concrete blocks of factory manufacturer allowed us to speed up, reduce and mechanize the construction process of a residential building. But along with the beginning, the so-called mass "block construction", this house was lucky - it was decorated with a facade of a beautiful openwork pattern with a floral ornament according to the sketches of the artist V. Favorsky. Openwork grids made of concrete are installed on kitchen windows overlooking Leningrad Prospect, because this side is shadow. It is in this house for the first time in the USSR, industrial concrete blocks were applied as structural and at the same time as decorative elements of the building. Such a new block layout system in 1955 was approved by the USSR State Building for use in mass construction, but as a result, such houses were not in the series in the series. It's a pity…

In addition to innovation in the construction of the house, a new system of internal planning of apartments was introduced. The house consisted exclusively from small apartments designed to accommodate one family. Inside the house planned to arrange a cafe and kindergarten. In the planning of the house, the idea of public accommodation was laid: there was only one elevator, two bright stairs, all the premises of the staff went into the lobby of the only entrance. Now it is also a residential building with shops and a bank on the lower floor. The total area of a typical one-bedroom apartment with isolated rooms is 55 meters, a kitchen area is 14 meters, and even with such an openwork on the window!

"Music and Forest House" on Tverskaya Street. An outstanding architect Andrei Konstantinovich Burov lived on Tverskaya Street in House 25, built on his own project in 1936. This house was awarded the Mossovet Award as one of the best homes in Moscow. It is very unusually standing out among the entire monumental development of the Soviet period on this street and reminds Italian Palazzo with their external elements with arches and painting. In addition, he was built unusual, two parts and for different customers. The left part of the house from Tver was built first in 1936 by order of drug addict. Therefore, it is decorated with numerous paintings on the forest topic in Sgrafito technique according to the sketches of Vladimir Andreevich Favorsky. Recently, right before this house from the angle of the Blagoveshchensky, the alley was demolished with shops with shops, as a result of which a cozy green svmerik was formed. And most importantly, the facade of the house has opened on this side, where you can read the unique inscription "House ITR Narcomple" . By the way, it was on the site of this square and this part of the house until 1929, in the name of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which gave the name of the alley.
