Even if joining a loggia or balcony is not prohibited in your region, unpleasant surprises may await you in the form of ledges on the floor and ceiling.

Designer Maria Rozhnikova solved this problem by building a podium: he hid all the technical details and demarcated the space, separating the kitchen from the living room.

And in this interior, the border between the balcony set the theme of broken lines for the design of the entire apartment.

The fact is that, having added a balcony, the owner and designer decided not to re-lay the entire floor of the room due to the limited budget. Few people would guess that there used to be an isolated balcony here, and the “scar” from the operation to join it between two types of coverage seems to be an original design find.
