Every housewife in the kitchen has such a necessary device as a meat grinder. The modern market offers a very large selection of automatic assistants, analogs with an electric drive. A conventional mechanical meat grinder is not inferior to its positions in front of automation, it is equally popular. There are several reasons for this, but perhaps the most important is ease of use.

What is a manual meat grinder

A manual meat grinder is a mechanical device that is needed to grind meat or fish for mincing. A device is used for processing other products used in the manufacture of noodles, spaghetti, juice, cookies. The main advantage is the price, the ability to quickly assemble, grind, disassemble, clean. The only negative - a very laborious process when working with meat - requires the use of little physical force.

There are several types of devices for grinding meat. They differ in their principle of action:

  1. Manual or mechanical. The process of processing products by hand, made of cast iron, aluminum, plastic, stainless steel.
  2. Universal. They resemble a food processor, equipped with many functions and modes. Ideal for juicing, making cookies, noodles. Safe.
  3. Combine. There is no auger (twisting shaft) familiar to users. A special knife (impeller) turns all products into a homogeneous mass.

According to the materials of manufacture of the device for mechanical grinding of products, cast iron, aluminum, plastic, stainless steel are produced. Peculiarities:

  1. Cast iron are considered durable. The disadvantage is that with a sharp drop, there are splits in the case.
  2. Aluminum depends on the composition. The silicon-doped device is considered to be durable and shock-resistant. Aluminum-magnesium alloy is very brittle.
  3. Plastic models are lightweight, equipped with a press for pushing meat, vacuum fastening, easy to hold even in the middle of the table.
  4. The stainless steel grinder is practical.

The choice of many housewives falls on mechanical models of devices. This is explained:

  1. Low cost.
  2. It is believed that minced meat that is processed on a handheld device turns out to be much tastier than on an electric meat grinder.
  3. Independence from the power grid. You can work in any conditions, for example, in the country.
  4. Strength, the ability to quickly and cheaply replace parts, if necessary. Dull knives - you can sharpen, lost attachments - are always on sale.
  5. Compact size.
  6. Silent work.
  7. Easy to assemble and use.

Device

The design of the device includes several components. The whole mechanism will only work if it is assembled correctly. Classic complete set of a mechanical meat grinder - 7 parts. It:

  • frame;
  • the mouth of the meat receiver;
  • Archimedes' shaft or screw, which feeds meat to the knife;
  • wing or disc knife;
  • nozzles;
  • grinding grate;
  • fastening in the form of a clamping nut for a knife;
  • pens;
  • screw or suction cups.

The composition of the parts included in a mechanical device for processing products is similar to an electrical one, but there are still differences. Each of them has its own purpose. Specifications:

  • a metal or plastic body - a cast container with a meat receiver (a tube-bell expanding upward);
  • spiral shaft - pushes the meat towards the incisors;
  • knives - cruciform or disc-shaped;
  • a grid with holes of different diameters to regulate the degree of grinding;
  • the clamping cover resembles a large nut in shape;
  • handle - attached to the rear on the protruding part of the shaft, fastened with gaskets and a screw;
  • latch - secures the device to the table.

The first thing to consider when assembling this household appliance is to ensure that all parts fit snugly together. The quality of minced meat is influenced by the density of contact between the knife and the grate. The classic version of the incisors is four-bladed. As for the grates, they have different slots, but the smaller the holes, the more tender the meat will turn out. The kit includes additional parts in the form of metal (plastic) attachments of various sizes and shapes, which are designed for making biscuits, mashed potatoes, chopping vegetables and fruits.

How to assemble correctly

To assemble a manual meat grinder, you must follow a certain algorithm. The sequence is as follows:

  1. Take the case, the largest part with three holes.
  2. Place a shaft (screw-shaped) in the large circular slot to push the contents towards the cutters.
  3. Attach a knife for a manual meat grinder with a concave part to the shaft (this position chops food).
  4. Install the grate, fit tightly to the flat side of the knife. You need to make it so that the notch (groove) on the parts sits on the protrusion of the body. This will secure the grill.

After all the parts are installed, the next step is fixing. This is done in this way:

  1. Everything is fixed with a large ring (clamping cover), which is screwed onto the body by a thread.
  2. On the reverse side, the handle is attached with two spacers and a screw.
  3. The final stage is to place the device on a flat surface. To do this, you need to install the meat grinder on the edge of the table, using the screw at the bottom of the case, screw it into the table top according to the principle of a vice.

The principle of operation of such a device is to supply the ingredients for grinding into the meat receiver. It is not recommended to take very large pieces, because they can get stuck, which will lead to work stoppages. We'll have to disassemble the device and remove the meat. The spiral-shaped shaft pushes the meat towards the knives, cutting it into pieces (depending on the type of cutter). They go to the grate, the holes in which grind them to the desired state. The resulting minced meat comes out of the nozzle and falls into a bowl, which must first be substituted from the side of the clamping lid.

Types of manual mechanical meat grinders

The types of mechanical meat grinders are determined by the materials of manufacture. On sale there are models of cast iron, aluminum with various alloys, plastic, stainless steel. They all have their own advantages and disadvantages.   • pluses: firmly attached to the surface;
  • cons: no.

How to choose a manual mechanical meat grinder

The range of kitchen appliances for chopping food is very wide, which makes it difficult to choose. The criteria for choosing a specific model are simple:

  1. Manufacturing material. It all depends on personal preference.
  2. Equipment. If you plan to use it not only for meat, it is desirable that there are several attachments.
  3. Method of attachment to the table. This is especially true for plastic meat grinders. Silicone should be free from damage, strong, moderately dense.
  4. Price. The price of mechanical meat grinders is lower than electrical ones, it depends on the material of manufacture, equipment.

You can buy a manual meat grinder in an online store, at specialized points of sale. Not very expensive, if there is stock, if there is a sale, the purchase will be cheap. The discount is provided for regular customers. In the regions of Moscow, St. Petersburg, the cost is not very different, but it is determined by the configuration, functionality of the meat grinder. You can arrange and order delivery by mail, courier or self-pickup.

Officially, it is believed that the manual grinder is already outdated, and has been replaced by a more advanced electric model. But in fact, the preferences of the hostesses were divided equally: the mechanical unit is no less popular than its electrical counterpart. For some, it’s a force of habit, and they continue to be faithful to a simple, reliable device. And someone wants to keep up with the times and are happy to use new technologies.

Purpose and types of meat grinders

The meat grinder is designed for chopping food. The main function is the manufacture of minced meat, poultry and fish... Also, the device successfully processes any vegetables, both raw and cooked. If necessary, you can also crush, for example, nuts. The functionality of the device is expanded using different accessories (attachments).

Meat grinders are divided into two main types:

  • mechanical;

  • electrical.

There are also so-called combine devices that operate on the blender principle... But the final product yield after this process can hardly be called minced meat. The processed mass is most similar to mashed potatoes. Therefore, such a device cannot be called a full replacement for the classic meat grinder.

Electrical appliances have their own class.

  1. Highest class "A" awarded to industrial units for high productivity. The line of the MIM 300, 82 and 105 brands is widely used. It should be noted that industrial models require power from a three-phase network for their operation. They are capable of processing 200 to 300 kilograms of meat per hour. But the weight of such a meat grinder is not small - an average of about 50 kg.
  2. Class "B" have devices that perform many functions thanks to an additional arsenal of attachments, knives and grates. They are represented by the brands Moulinex, Bosch, Kenwood. From domestic models, consumers single out the KEM-36 electric meat grinders.
  3. Meat grinder "C" class- these are household devices of minimum power and without additional modes. Such budget models are widely produced by Zelmer, Braun and Saturn.

Principle of operation

The principle of operation of a manual meat grinder is reduced to feeding the product, which is pre-divided into portioned pieces of the required size, into the receiver located on top of the device. A special screw, called an Archimedean screw (according to one of the branches of physics), moves these pieces towards the knives. The rotation of the shaft occurs by hand twisting.

Further, a four-blade knife cuts the product and directs it to the grate, the holes of which have sharp edges and are also choppers. When passing through the mesh-knife, the raw material is brought to the desired consistency and, in the form of finished minced meat, flows from the nozzle to the outside, where it is collected in the receiving tray.

The operation of an electric meat grinder is fundamentally no different from the above-described principle of operation of a mechanical analogue. Only hand torsion replaces the electric motor powered by a 220 volt household network. But the electric version has a number of undeniable advantages over manual models:

  • the power of even the weakest budget device is several times greater than the muscle strength;
  • the processing speed of any product is much higher than with manual twisting;
  • chopping fibers with veins does not cause difficulties (while a mechanical machine must be disassembled and cleaned every time the knives);
  • no additional fasteners required: the device works perfectly on any level surface;
  • The elongated receiver protects against injury: fingers cannot reach the auger, and there is a special device (pusher) to push the pieces of raw material.

Basic device

Many housewives prefer a mechanical typewriter because of its ease of use. Structure manual meat grinder is not much different from electric... Further, the working bodies that make up the apparatus will be listed, and their purpose will be described.

Important! The device of an electric current-powered meat grinder is completely identical to its mechanical counterpart, with the exception of one unit: the handle is replaced by a motor that rotates the Archimedean screw.

In addition to the main parts described above, the electric meat grinder circuit includes many additional parts necessary for the correct operation of the engine... So, in the wiring diagram there is:

  • electric motor;
  • a capacitor that provides the initial acceleration of the rotor;
  • Start button;
  • emergency switch;
  • input for a power cord;
  • fuse;
  • power indicator.

The body of the electric meat grinder is large in size, since it includes a compartment for the motor and other components that ensure the operation of the latter, and also contains openings for the outlet of hot air. The grip of this technique with the table surface occurs with the help of rubber feet, which do not allow sliding from vibration during operation. The internal structure of the electric meat grinder, as well as all additional attachments, will be shown in the video:

Additional accessories

For both types of meat grinders, various additional attachments designed to perform work not related to grinding ordinary minced meat... Such accessories are included in the delivery kit or purchased separately.

You can use the grate with the largest holes to get the juice. But in this case, the final product will be pulp. A a special nozzle, in which an additional auger directs the raw material to a fine grater, allows you to obtain a liquid without admixture of solid particles. At the same time, the loss of raw materials is minimal.

Shredders

With a set of various shredders, you can quickly chop foods for any salad... The device easily copes with the work of a food processor.

For sausages

The peculiarity of such a nozzle is that it is distributes ground meat into casings for sausages. With the help of the device, you can make not only sausage, but also sausages with small sausages.

For the test

The dough handling device is capable of form from the mass into original cookies... There is also a nozzle that will help you make homemade pasta.

Advice! Additional devices turn an ordinary meat grinder into a device that can facilitate the preparation of dishes of any complexity. Therefore, a set of attachments purchased separately will not be superfluous on the farm.

Operating rules

To increase the efficiency of work, the raw materials should be cut into pieces in advance, which will easily pass through the receiver of the machine to the auger. In order for the shaft to grip the product, you need to use a special pusher to feed the pieces onto the knives.

Important! The preliminary removal of large veins from the meat will facilitate the operation of the engine in the electric meat grinder, and will save the knives from rapid dullness.

In order for the meat grinder to work for many years, you need to follow the operating rules and take care of the device after completion of work.

The meat grinder is an indispensable attribute in the preparation of many dishes. And the use of special attachments makes the device multifunctional, which only increases its value as a universal kitchen assistant.

A manual meat grinder is a necessary tool in the kitchen, because, unlike an electric one, it will never stop working due to power outages

Most modern hand tools are made of high quality and durable materials for centuries. There are also modern meat grinders made of durable plastic. Such a meat grinder, of course, is easier to break than a cast iron one. Therefore, it is worth handling it more carefully.

Manual cast iron meat grinder

A cast iron meat grinder is a faithful assistant in the kitchen. She will serve for a very long time. And to break it, you need to try very hard. This is her advantage. The disadvantage of a cast iron meat grinder is that it is very heavy compared to other devices.

The cast iron meat grinder is very heavy, but works flawlessly

Aluminum alloy meat grinders and plastic models

A meat grinder made of aluminum alloys is much lighter than a cast iron one. And during operation it will serve for a very long time faithfully. There is only one drawback of such a device - sometimes the hands get very tired of grinding a large amount of meat or other products.

Plastic models of meat grinders are made of high quality and very durable materials. But, nevertheless, this model is not as durable as a cast-iron meat grinder, and its parts can quickly fail. Therefore, it is important to carefully operate the meat grinder.

The principle of operation of a manual meat grinder

A manual meat grinder, from a design point of view, is a rather simple device. Its work is based on two things - the manual drive and the mechanical pressure created by the auger. The grinding process looks like this:

  • meat, fish or any other product is put into the receiver and falls on the auger shaft;
  • then the product is pressed against the grid and cut off with a special four-bladed knife, which slides over the surface of this grid;
  • the food is chopped continuously: the meat is placed in the hopper and then exits through the wire rack.

The principle of operation is simple: we lay the food and get the minced meat. Simply and easily!

What does a meat grinder consist of and what is the purpose of the parts

What does a classic hand-held device consist of:

  1. Frame:
    A. Meat receiver;
    B. Clamp fastening;
  2. Lever;
  3. Left-hand thread auger;
  4. Bearing bush;
  5. Cutting knife with 4 blades;
  6. Lattice;
  7. Union nut;
  8. Eyebolt for attaching the handle

Disassembled meat grinder

Also, the device can be supplied with additional grates with different diameters of holes, knives, attachments for making sausages, sausages and freshly squeezed juice.

IMPORTANT!

The attachments must be sharpened regularly, do not allow them to be used for cutting too hard or stringy meat semi-finished products.

The auger shaft is an important and essential part. It has the form of a spiral, which, during operation, grinds the excess meat, advancing them to the attachments with knives. It is this mechanism that requires the use of durable metal.

Auger shaft - product conduit inside the device

Knife and special cutting attachments. They do all the work of chopping, cutting and crushing meat or any other product. Manufactured mainly from stainless materials. It is necessary to sharpen the knives for better and quality work, even though the steel is sharpened against the grate during rotation.

The knife must be installed correctly, otherwise the device may jam

IMPORTANT!

The structure of the knife and its shape affect the chopping of the product. For example, if a knife has a curved blade, it means that it can easily chop the veins and fibers of meat, while not allowing the auger shaft to clog.

The grille has three types of hole diameters:

  1. Very large - 12 mm... Grid with three or four holes. Used for minced meat for sausages. Not always included.
  2. Large holes - 8 mm... This grid is ideal for preparing minced sausage.
  3. Middle holes - 4-4.5 mm... Universal grille. Suitable for cooking minced meat for cutlets. Included in the kit.
  4. Small holes - 3 mm... Pate lattice. It is ideal for making pâté or puree.

Using these grates, you can get minced meat, coarse or fine. It all depends on your preferences

The nut (fixing ring) clamps and fixes the grate, knife and auger shaft. Sometimes after finishing work it can be difficult to unscrew it. But this problem can be easily solved with a regular cloth thrown over the nut. So, the hand does not slip, and the part is easily unscrewed.

A manual cast-iron or aluminum meat grinder, especially of Soviet times, is attached to the working surface using a threaded device (paw). And therefore, in order to exclude the movement of the device on the table, you need to put something under the metal base. It can be a newspaper folded several times. In modern models, the base of the mount is plastic or rubber, and therefore the device is attached to the table much more reliably.

How to properly assemble a manual meat grinder step by step with a photo of the process

So how do you properly assemble a hand-held mechanical device? The easiest way is to follow the assembly order according to the product instruction manual. But if the instruction is lost, then follow the step-by-step build method. So we begin.

The first stage is to prepare all the elements and carefully lay them out in front of you.

Installing the auger shaft

IllustrationDescription of action
For models with a split body, a meat feed cylinder must be installed.
Next, we insert the auger shaft into the body so that the wide part of the shaft is in the place where the handle is attached. That is, in the narrowest opening of the meat grinder. The thin side of the auger should fit into the wide and round opening. The knife will also be attached there.

How to properly insert a knife into a meat grinder

There are two types of knives: one-sided and two-sided cutting.

IllustrationDescription of action

After the auger is installed, take the single-sided knife and place it on the auger shaft.

ATTENTION!

The flat part of the blade should face and slide over the grate. But not the other way around.

IMPORTANT!

It happens that the knife is installed incorrectly. And then there is little sense from such a meat grinder. The meat is not grinded, but only choked. And in this case, the device may simply jam.

A knife with a double-sided cutting part can be put on either side. There is no difference. How to properly install a knife in a meat grinder, and what they are, you can see in this video.

Installing the grate and screwing on the handle

IllustrationDescription of action
After the knife is in place, you need to correctly install the grate. It's easier than a knife. The main thing is to install so that the notch on the grate coincides with the ledge on the kitchen assistant's body.
Then just fix the entire structure with a lock nut, it is also called a union nut, on the body of the meat grinder.
Next, we fix the meat receiver.

Now all that remains is to screw the handle from the back with the screw. Everything. The meat grinder is assembled. You just need to install it on the work surface, and you can get to work.

Installing a meat grinder on a work surface

The meat grinder must be as stable as possible, otherwise you will have to make efforts to hold the unit in place while working on it

It is easy to screw the meat grinder to the work surface. It is necessary to attach the device to the table using the "foot". And to firmly fix the kitchen unit, you can put a newspaper or soft cloth between the table top and the "foot". Even better for this role is dense rubber.

How to properly assemble a manual meat grinder, if you need to put a nozzle

Most meat grinders are equipped with various attachments and grates for making sausages, sausages, juice and many other goodies. But not everyone knows how to correctly insert a nozzle, knife or grate into a meat grinder. After all, the order of assembling a meat grinder with a nozzle is slightly different:

  • insert the auger shaft into the main body... The wide part of the shaft is placed in the place where the handle is attached. The thin one should be in the place where the grill is attached;
  • then put the grate... It can be very large or medium-sized. It all depends on the recipe and your preferences;
  • after install the nozzle... Just make sure that there are no chips or roughness on it. Otherwise, you run the risk of tearing the intestine, which is put on the nozzle when making sausages and kebbe;
  • fix the structure with a clamping nut, and now all that remains is to screw on the handle. That's all. Nothing complicated. Is not it?

ATTENTION!

When making sausages and kebbe, the knife is not used. And all because ready-made minced meat is put into a meat grinder with such attachments;

Manual meat grinder care rules

After the meat has been ground, it is very important to clean the meat grinder immediately. Some housewives advise to pass a piece of croutons through a meat grinder, they say, it cleans out all the remnants of the meat, and you don't need to wash it anymore. But no, pieces of meat may remain, and then a very unpleasant rotten smell will appear in the kitchen. Getting rid of it will not be difficult, but very unpleasant. Therefore, after work, the unit must be rinsed out immediately. First you need to disassemble it:

  • unscrew the handle;
  • then unscrew the locking nut. If your hand slips and you can't twist it, use a cloth. Just put it on the nut, and then everything will work out;
  • take out the grate and knife;
  • take out the auger shaft.

After that, clean the parts from pieces of meat and rinse them under running water with any dishwashing detergent. Then lay the parts on a dry, clean towel and dry well. It is best to store the meat grinder directly disassembled.

So, as if nothing will rust from water accidentally got inside. Collect just before work. So, as you can see, the process of assembling a kitchen assistant is very simple. The main thing is to watch how you install the main elements. Good luck to you!

The juicer looks unpretentious and simple in design, but having worked with it once, you can no longer force yourself to use your industrial harvester with an electric drive and numerous attachments: after it, you will again have to wash the whole kitchen and clean all the attachments.

In a home-made juicer, then wash only three parts, and the seeds do not even get stuck, and the performance is such that, even by hand, but in 30-40 minutes we get a bucket of tomato juice.

Juicer device

Outwardly, the juicer resembles a meat grinder: the clamp is also attached to the table, the same bell of the loading window, the same handle. However, this is where the similarity ends, since the principle of operation is completely different: inside there is no auger and the usual knives, although there is a grate at the exit. Instead of an auger, there is a small drum with knife-scrapers. With their blades, they grab a tomato (or slices, if large) and drag it along with them when the handle is turned, pushing it into the tapering gap between the body and the drum.

Rice. 1. Juicer-meat grinder and its main parts:
1 - body assembly, 2 - drum, 3 - juice tray, 4 - scrapers-knives, 5 - handle with shaft.

The mechanism structure is extremely simple. The parts visible from the outside are a clamp, two lamellar brackets above it, a hopper with a handle and a mesh window for juice and a pulp exit window, with two trays under them. Inside, there is one single unit - a drum, and in it - plates of retractable scraper knives with a spacer spring. The drum, with its thickened bottom with a threaded hole, is screwed onto the shaft shank, which is connected to the drive handle. The shaft bearing and at the same time the stuffing box is a fluoroplastic bushing, the body of which is a steel bushing welded to the sidewall of the hopper.

Rice. 2. The main parts of the juicer:
1 - the front wall of the hopper. 2 - pulp tray, 3 - pulp exit window, 4 - shaft, 5 - handle. 6 - drum, 7.20 - side walls of the hopper (wall 20 - with a hole), 8 - knife (recessed), 9 - tomato. 10 - juice tray, 11 - stand, 12 - clamp, 13 - handle connecting rod, 14 - axle, 15 - bearing housing, 16 - bearing (fluoroplastic sleeve), 17 - mesh (or a perforated strip with holes with a diameter of 1.5 mm), 18 - knife (extended), 19 - knife spring.

A mesh (perforated plate with a hole 1.5 mm in diameter) is welded to the lower window of the hopper - through it, juice flows onto a long tray, fixed with bent ears in specially cut grooves of the bracket posts. The pulp tray is welded to the hopper below its top window.

Rice. 3. Drum unit (complete):
1 - handle, 2 - shaft, 3 - bearing housing, 4 - bearing (fluoroplastic sleeve), 5.9 - bunker walls, 6 - drum, 7 - knives, 8 - spring.

The scraper blades are connected by a spacer spring. To do this, their plates are cut from below into three "petals": the two extreme ones are bent in opposite directions (stop), the middle one is inserted into the spring. At the top of the plate there is a side projection that limits its pressing into the slot of the drum.

The handle with the shaft is assembled as a single unit. The second assembly will be a drum with spring-loaded knives. It is inserted on top of the hopper; then a shaft is inserted into the fluoroplastic sleeve, which is carefully screwed onto the drum. It remains to install the juice tray - and the combine is ready to work.

Due to the eccentric arrangement of the drum in relation to the walls of the body, the scraper knives sliding along them, the closer to the mesh, sink more and more into the slot of the drum, and the tomatoes carried away by them are squeezed and kneaded more and more. On the mesh, they are practically rubbed along its holes, completely giving off the juice under the pressure of the drum. And the almost dry pulp is then released by knives at the exit from the mesh through the window onto the discharge tray.

As easily as it was assembled, the mechanism is disassembled: the juice tray is removed, the shaft is unscrewed from the drum (by reverse rotation of the handle) and the released drum with knives is removed from the hopper - everything can be washed.

It seems that this simple machine would be of great help for amateur gardeners and gardeners - after all, any soft fruits, berries and vegetables can be passed through it. The only exceptions are those that do not have seeds, but seeds: they must first be removed, and the rest must be passed through a juicer.

The proposed design was designed for tomatoes and was designed for a maximum diameter of 50-60 mm. When using the machine for other types of vegetables, berries, fruits, appropriate changes can be made to the dimensions of the hopper, drum and other units and parts.

I am sure that everyone who makes such a device will be satisfied.

A meat grinder is a must-have kitchen utensil that should be in every home. Many housewives prefer modern electrical appliances. There are many reasons for this: convenience, saving time and effort, stylish design. However, some still remain faithful to the usual manual meat grinder - but how to properly assemble it for work?

Soviet meat grinder

Design features

Before assembling a meat grinder, you need to imagine what it includes. The manual model, or mechanical, is the most popular. It is found in almost every home.

Its main part is the body. It is usually made of a metal alloy. When the assembly of the device begins, a screw is inserted into the body - this is the thread at the rear end, where the handle of the structure is attached to a screw with a steel or plastic wing. So, in order to prepare a Soviet mechanical meat grinder for work, you need to put its components in front of you:

  • frame;
  • meat receiver (the part where the products are loaded, more often it is non-removable, that is, it is located in the body);
  • screw shaft (this is a spiral);
  • knife (disc or wing, it is cruciform, resembles a propeller);
  • grill (needed to grind the product as much as possible);
  • clamping nut that secures the knife and grate);
  • a handle that is attached with a nut;
  • a screw or nut that secures the handle to the body.

Manual meat grinder at work

The electrical model is easier to prepare because its design is different from its predecessor, although it is very similar. The essential difference between the electrical device is the case. If the hand one always looks the same and is made of metal, then in the second case (depending on the manufacturer), the body can be plastic, steel, made of alloy, different in shape. This device does not have a handle either, since it operates from an electrical network - the device is powered by a motor located inside the case.

Electric meat grinder consists of the following parts:

  • frame;
  • food receiver (similar to a bowl);
  • auger (delivers products for grinding);
  • grille (round disc with holes);
  • a clamping nut that holds parts of the structure together;
  • an electrical mechanism (a motor that powers a device).

The principle of operation lies in the fact that food cut into pieces is placed in the bowl. When they hit the auger, they move down to the knife. The auger shank is connected to the wire. Simultaneously with the first, the knife adjacent to the grate also rotates. The meat is chopped with a knife, then the auger pushes it through the holes in the grate into the plate. The sequence is simple.

Electric and manual meat grinder assembly diagram

Assembling a meat grinder is not difficult. It is much more troublesome to disassemble and clean it after use.

It is not difficult to prepare a manual meat grinder if you adhere to a specific sequence and know the names of the construction details. There are two types of meat grinder on the modern market: mechanical and electrical. The first one is also called manual, but it is made of steel. The electric body can include not only steel, but also other alloys, it can even consist entirely of plastic.

If we compare the mechanical and electrical models, then the second one does not have a handle. Instead, there is an engine inside the body. As a rule, the assembly diagram of a meat grinder of any kind does not cause difficulties, since the old Soviet design is known to everyone, and instructions go to the electric one. It is much more difficult to disassemble and clean it, since this process requires physical effort. What is this construction intended for? Basically, meat and rusks are crushed in it. It is adapted for cooking homemade sausage or minced meat. Before assembling, you must lay out the clean parts in front of you.

Hand-held device assembly diagram

You can grind meat not only with a meat grinder, but also with a blender. It's even more convenient. However, the consistency of the minced meat will turn out to be very liquid, it will resemble mashed potatoes. Both devices are good and have their own purpose. If you don't have a blender, you can buy additional accessories. For example, for a hand-held device - several double-sided blades, grates of different diameters, knives.

Putting together a manual meat grinder

How to assemble a manual meat grinder quickly step by step? This is quite easy to do. The old model is, perhaps, in any home, but to use it, follow the device assembly diagram:

  1. First, take the meat grinder body and the spiral (screw shaft). In the second part, one side is thinner than the other - this means that a knife and a grate are attached to it, and a handle is attached to the thickened one. The shaft is fastened so that the thickening is visible from the outside. Then a handle is installed on it and fixed with a screw.
  2. A knife is located on the other side of the shaft. On the one hand, the wing knife is convex, and on the other, it is flat. The flat part should face the grate. If the knife is circular, then there should be cutting edges of this part near the grate. It is very important to properly fix the knife, otherwise the meat will not be chopped, but choked. It is better to use the knives that come with the meat grinder.
  3. After installing the knife, the grating is attached to the rod pin. This piece should fit very tightly against the knife. Make sure to get the grate into the protrusion on the device body, otherwise you will not be able to tighten the clamping nut.
  4. The last stage of assembly is fixing the previously installed elements with a clamping nut. It is twisted clockwise.

Please note that in Soviet models there is a special foot on the case, which is designed to attach the device to a working surface, for example, to the edge of a table. You need to apply force to fix such a model. There is no such element in electrical devices, and modern handheld devices are equipped with plastic paws, so it is easier to fix them.

How to assemble an electric meat grinder

The step-by-step collection of a modern electric meat grinder may seem simple to someone, since detailed instructions with assembly steps are attached to the household appliance. The structure is arranged in the same way as the manual one. Works on the same principle. The only difference is that you do not need to exert physical effort to grind food:

  1. The grinder body is connected to the gearbox. It is put into the groove of the cover, turned counterclockwise to fix it.
  2. Further, a screw shaft is installed in the main part so that the protrusion of the shank falls into the hole of the output shaft.
  3. After they put a grate and a knife, all this is fixed with a clamping nut. First the knife (blade outward), then the grate, and finally the nut.
  4. Then the loading bowl is installed in the neck of the body. The meat grinder can now work.

The motor of an electrical device replaces human efforts. All you need to do is plug the appliance in and push the meat into the tube. Among the design features - a meat collector is sometimes attached to the body of models from different manufacturers, and sometimes it is already built-in. The auger knife is held in place by the grooved shaft. A pusher is also included with the household appliance, the main function of which is to move the meat into the mechanism. An electric meat grinder, unlike a manual device, is installed where it is convenient - it does not need to be fixed.

Assembly sequence of an electrical appliance

Assembling the device is one step, but it still needs to be disassembled and washed after work. To do this correctly, you first start with the removable meat collector. It is taken out of the case, the clamping nut is unscrewed. This can be done with a napkin or towel. Then remove the grate and knife, unscrew the screw holding the handle, remove it. The auger shaft is taken out last. All components of the structure are cleaned of product residues, washed in hot soapy water, then dried on a napkin. Keep the meat grinder disassembled. The same is true for an electrical appliance.
