My huawei terminal won't start. How and what to enter at commands into the modem
All information about the installed device (modem, Huawei mobile router) is grouped on the first tab, while the "optional" parameters are moved to the "Additional information" group. To determine the characteristics of your modem or router, connect it via USB to a PC. Wait until the device appears in the device manager, i.e. will be completely determined by the computer. If you installed software from the built-in CDROM section of your device, then additional installation of drivers is not required. Run GadgetInfo.exe and in the list of COM ports select the port related to your modem / router (you need to run GadgetInfo after you have inserted the device into USB, if the corresponding device is not found in the list of COM ports, restart the program, it will automatically detect available in the system COM ports), after clicking on the "Get information" - GadgetInfo will interrogate your modem and read everything you need.
The "Copy" button is used to copy the information marked with check marks to the clipboard, for example, for posting on a forum or blog. For the example shown in the screenshot, clicking on "Copy" will copy the following information to the clipboard:

You can also mark (or vice versa, uncheck) at any point of interest when copying information to the clipboard. But on getting information the opportunity GadgetInfo do not end. The program implements a full-fledged terminal for working with a modem / router. Not so long ago, in the article we wrote about the main ways to enter AT commands into the modem. Among the common software for these purposes were noted - DC Unlocker Client (it was used as a normal terminal program), PuTTy, HyperTerminal and Huawei Modem Terminal (My Huawei Terminal) from Alexander S. Shokin. The latter program, at one time was practically the de facto standard in the field of software for working with a modem via a COM port, however, despite all its convenience - it had a significant drawback, requiring the installed .NET Framework package in the system, which many not installed. The method of working with a modem / router using AT commands remains unchanged. So, to get information about the modem - you need to give the device a command ATI... In response, the modem will display the model, IMEI, firmware version and a set of additional supported AT commands. To determine the lock status of the modem, despite the fact that this information is presented on the "Information" tab, you can use the command AT ^ CARDLOCK ?:
AT ^ CARDLOCK? - Checking the lock status and the remaining attempts to enter the unlock code. In response, the modem will issue CARDLOCK: A, B, 0, where A is the lock state, B is the number of remaining unlock attempts. A = 2 means that there is no symlock, A = 1 if the modem is locked.
Finally, you will need the terminal to unlock your Huawei modem / router. Unlocking is carried out using the NCK code, which is unique for each device, which you can purchase on our trading platform or in the product catalog, or for old models, counting one of the free calculators. AT command to unlock:
AT ^ CARDLOCK = "nck code", where NCK code is the unlock code you received. So, to unlock the Huawei E3372 example, the NCK unlock code is 65679426. To unlock the modem, enter the AT ^ CARDLOCK = "65679426" command into it. When entering the correct unlock command through the terminal, the modem should answer OK, after which the SIM lock will be removed.
AT command serves to control some of the functions of the modem. Commands can be entered with special programs, it is much easier than the built-in hyperterminal in Windows XP. To do this, you can use the programs: or Before using these programs, you need to close all other programs that can use the modem. For Huawei modems, you need to connect to the COM port " 3G PC UI Interface", for modems ZTE MF on COM port "ZTE Proprietary USB Modem". This feature provides fast network access without unnecessary connections.
Another main feature of the program is making voice calls. Voice calling is not supported on all device models - only 5% of HUAWEI modems and routers are equipped with this feature.
USSD commands are executed on any modem from this manufacturer. A useful function of this program is the restoration of communication after a short-term loss of the network.
Important note
Before flashing the device, remember that the SIM-card that works for this operator will not be "detected" in the modem with a card of another operator. Access to the "SIM card by default" is carried out after special procedures.There is no official data on how to do this yet. Use the instructions on the specialized forums or programmers' websites. The reverse procedure requires special skills. Do not restore access to a standard operator without proper knowledge.

Well, the last interesting function that is available in the application is automatic reconnection to the network after a disconnection.
Important note
All users of the program need to know that after flashing an artificially "locked" modem for working with a SIM-card of a certain operator of the modem, it will not work with cards of another operator. To obtain such an opportunity, a "unlocking" operation is required. Information on how to accomplish it must be searched for on specialized resources, which our site is not.
