So that the ball did not leave too far from the saddle and did not block the outlet, you need to drill two transverse holes in front of it and insert a piece of wire in them.

The wire will need to be securely sealed with glue, sealant or spout. It will serve as a vertical motion of the ball.

When the pump begins to work, the water pressure is raining the ball over the seat, and it opens the passage for fluid flow. The limiter does not allow the ball to climb too high and overlap the outlet.

When the pump is turned off, the strength of gravity and the reverse head of the fluid column press the ball to the saddle, and it overlaps the pipeline.

Possible difficulties

In the process of self-making, domestic masters face a number of difficulties:

  • Wrong calculation of the pressure force. The spring has to shorten or, more unpleasant, kick over. This task is solved usually by selection.
  • Insufficient quality surface treatment of the saddle. The valve is not pressed against it completely and passes water. Solved by grinding the surface.
  • Too high stream resistance in a specific system. It does not solve, you have to choose another type of valve or buy industrial.

Alone, the manufacture of the check valve will serve as a good check of its engineering and plumbing skills.
