For two days, September 9 and 10, 2017, our capital will celebrate the 870th anniversary of the City Day. This year, a large-scale cultural and entertainment program has been prepared for residents and guests of the capital, which includes more than 400 events and will cover more than 300 venues in all districts of Moscow.

The theme of the holiday will be reflected in the motto: "Moscow is a city where history is made", dedicated to the outstanding contribution of our city and its residents to Russian and world heritage. The large-scale program, organized by the Moscow Department of Culture, will traditionally take place over 2 days. Residents and guests of the capital will enjoy concerts, excursions, photo exhibitions, theatrical performances and much more.
The capital's parks have prepared programs in various directions. Guests of the events will be able to plunge into the atmosphere of Moscow in the 60s and 70s, see the best theatrical productions of the capital's theaters, assemble spacecraft models and take part in “folk karaoke.”
Also in honor of the holiday, more than 200 free excursions will be held on September 9 and 10. It is planned that more than four thousand people will visit them. Guests can enjoy city walks, bike tours, scooter rides and much more. Everyone will be introduced to the history of the capital, ancient streets, and the works of famous Muscovites.
