The teXet TM-B116 mobile phone with a pension phone docking station for the elderly. TeXet TM-B116 review

We will not talk about the positioning of the device, everything is clear with that. The company most definitely presents its phone as a model for seniors. This is evidenced by the design of the box, and the official press release of Texet. However, I would like to say a few words about the name of the device.
In my opinion, now, when this market is only gaining momentum, and companies do not feel any competition, and the number of models is minimal, such a parameter as the name of the phone does not play any role. But after a year or two, the segment will become more active, and there will be no longer 5-6 devices in it. And then Texet will have to think about how, for example, the TM-B100 phone differs from the TM-105, 110 and 120, and Just5 will have to think about how exactly the name CP11 is related to a fashion device with a retractable screen. And so on and so forth. Why don't these companies think about a naming system for their devices now, while the market is just developing? For me it remains a mystery, but what is now in the names is discouraging - no fantasy. But back to the phone. What makes it interesting against the background of its competitor -Just5 CP09?

Design, body materials
The phone is in monoblock form-factor, black, made of matte plastic that resembles a rubberized surface to the touch. One of the soft-touch types. Large buttons, correct (symmetrical) arrangement of additional keys, neat appearance without decorative elements - we have before us the most ordinary phone with large buttons, about the design of which we can say exactly two things - it is very simple and boring. And this is good.
Plastic with soft-touch effect is used almost throughout the entire body, with the exception of the screen surface and the block with keys, which are made of smooth plastic.
The build quality is excellent, there is nothing to complain about. The keys do not play, the battery cover sits securely in its place, the gaps between the halves of the case are minimal, nothing creaks or wobbles.

Dimensions (edit)
In terms of dimensions, Texet TM-B100 is more compact than phones from Just5 and more resembles an ordinary budget device. The dimensions of the phone are 103 x 49 x 15 mm, weight is 80 grams. The device is very light, and at first the light weight is unusual, the phone is practically not felt in the hand. It feels like you are holding a model without a battery or even a breadboard, you need to get used to the weight.

On the other hand, being lightweight is a positive feature for older people. During a conversation, the hand will not get tired if the person holds the phone to his ear and speaks on it for a long time.

Control elements
There is a speaker hole on the front side, below, under the screen, a block of keys. The volume key is located on the top of the left edge of the phone; it is exactly the same size as all the other buttons on the edges. A slightly larger size would do the trick for this button. Below is a radio switch, which is fixed in one of two positions.
On the right edge there are two switches, a flashlight and a phone lock. Both have two states (on and off).
On the upper end, in addition to the flashlight, there is an eyelet for attaching a strap or lanyard to the hand. At the bottom there is a hole for a charger (thin, like in Nokia phones) and a universal 3.5 mm jack for a headset or headphones.
On the back side of the case there is a battery compartment cover and an SOS button. It works in the phone as follows. In the settings for emergency calls, you can add up to four numbers to which, if you press the SOS key for a long time, messages with the text you entered will be sent, and then the call will pass. All this is done on a first come, first served basis. As soon as you hold down the SOS button, a message is sent to the first number in the list, then a call to him, if a reset occurs, a message is sent to the second number, a call to him, etc. Everything is logical. The fact that the button is activated by a long press saves the phone user from accidentally pressing this key, because if you just press it, nothing will happen.

Flashlight
The phone has an LED flashlight, which is located on the upper end of the device. Naturally, it is dim, but in some situations it can be useful. The flashlight can work even when the phone is switched off, the main thing is that the device has a charged battery.

Keyboard
The device has 15 buttons, counting the up and down double menu navigation key. The keys are very large, the average button size is 14 x12 mm. It is convenient to press the keys with any fingers, even large ones, accidental pressing is almost impossible due to the size of the buttons. The only drawback is the absence of sides or other tangible boundaries between the buttons.
The keypad is the main feature of the phone and it is well made. In addition to the size of the keys, they stand out against the background of the buttons of an ordinary device with large numbers and markings in general. Unlike Just5 phones, the Texet model has no Latin markings, there is only Cyrillic. On the one hand, it simplifies text entry if you write in Russian, on the other hand, what if some users find it more convenient to write in Latin? Although, given that the phone is positioned exclusively as a model for the elderly, the step with the markup of one language is more likely correct than not.
The backlighting of the keys is orange, it is not quite evenly distributed, but this is not particularly important considering that the entire key block is backlit very well, and all characters are perfectly distinguishable. In the daytime, the backlight also improves the readability of the keyboard.

Screen
The phone uses a monochrome display with orange backlighting. The physical dimensions of the screen are 19.5 x 38 mm (working area plus a millimeter from the bottom, right and left), the display fits up to three lines of text in the main menu (counting the line with icons of the battery level, signal reception and others) and up to three lines in other menus.
The backlight is bright, you can't see it in the sun, but the screen itself is perfectly readable. The font size is comfortable, but the phone lacks the ability to change this size. This option would be very useful, considering the audience of the device.

Radio
The Texet TM-B100 has an FM radio with a built-in antenna. A separate switch on the left edge of the phone is used to turn the radio on and off. The radio does not work in the background, but this is not required, because you cannot do anything other than making calls and writing messages with your phone.
For the radio to work, you do not need to connect a headset, or rather, it can “catch” the frequency without it. True, in this case, a good reception will only be on the street. At home, interference is heard, and it is just the connection of headphones or a headset that saves.
You can use the radio, for example, in the country, the speaker volume is high. Naturally, at the maximum volume level, the speaker may wheeze, but if you imagine a scenario of using the radio in the country, when your grandparents are doing barbecue or watering the garden, then this is not critical. Plays for himself and plays, the main thing is that you can hear well, even if he lies 5-10 meters away.

Autonomous work
The device uses a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery. With 20-30 minutes of calls a day and sending about 10 text messages during the test, the phone worked for about six days. The SIM-card holder is located in an ordinary groove under the battery.

Menu
The phone's menu consists of six items, each of which is marked with a large animated icon and a signature. Entering the menu is carried out by pressing the "up" key, and returning back - by pressing the "end call" button. Inside the menu, items are presented as a list, you can navigate through it using the key under the screen or by pressing the number buttons.
In standby mode, the screen displays the level of signal reception and battery charge, as well as the time in large letters and the date in smaller letters.
The localization of the device is well done. There are no abbreviations, and items that do not completely fit on the screen are displayed as a creeping line when selected.

Contacts. The phone can store up to 300 contacts, for each of which you can write a name (up to 13 characters) and one phone number. The list displays numbers both from the phone's memory and from the SIM-card. Each name has an icon next to it that explains where the contact is stored. The phone book is searched for by the first letter of the name. Any of the contacts can be assigned to one of ten shortcut keys (buttons from "two" to "pound").

Messages. The device "knows" how to work with text messages (EMS and MMS are not supported). The phone can store up to 100 text messages. There are templates, 10 pieces, you can edit them and add new ones. In the SMS settings, you can set the message center number.

Call history. Standard lists of incoming, outgoing and missed calls, each of which can store up to 10 numbers. Calls to one number are "eaten up", that is, if you called a person yesterday and called today, the last call will remain in the call history. For each last call to a number, you can view its duration.
Alarm. In total, the phone has three alarms, each of which can be turned on for a single actuation or on selected days of the week. The melody for the alarm clock is set from the same ten that are set for the call.
Notes . The handset contains simple text notes.
Birthdays. There is no calendar in the phone, but you can set birthday reminders.
Calculator. The simplest calculator.
Settings. This menu contains the basic settings of the device, the very minimum. Language, time and date, general volume level, call forwarding options and some other parameters. In the same menu, you can create reminders with the possibility of sound notification.
Call settings... It is possible to adjust different volumes from the menu. The volume level for the ringing tone is separately selected, separately for the notification of text messages, keystrokes and for the conversation mode (you can also change the volume level to turn the device on and off).

Competitors
The cost of Texet TM-B100 is 2,000 rubles (1,990, to be more precise), the phone has recently gone on sale. There are four companies that have phones for seniors: Just5 with several models, Voxtel with the RX500, Samsung with the C3060R, and now Texet with the TM-B100. Voxtel can be ruled out: finding the RX500 in retail is becoming increasingly difficult. Samsung is also not a player in this segment. For the company, the model C3060R is another inexpensive phone, and it got into the segment of devices for the elderly solely because of the relatively large (in comparison with other phones) key size. Two players remain - Just5 and Texet.
Just5 is already present on this market and has launched several models. At the moment, the company's most expensive "grandmother" costs 4,000 rubles and is also an image phone that can be bought as a "dialer". The same company has a model CP09 worth 3,000 rubles, and its competitor is the Texet TM-B100. While technically these two phones are twins, the price tag of TM-B100 is one and a half times lower, 2,000 rubles versus 3,000 for CP09.
Obviously, Just5 needs to either immediately after the release of the Texet phone, adjust the cost of CP09, reducing it to 2,000 rubles, or not change the price tag, but at the same time start gradually focusing on the image in its products and try to position new phones exclusively as “dialers ". It is also important that Texet will most likely appear on sale in all major chains such as Eldorado, MVideo, Euroset, Auchan and others in a short time. In short, all the major players. The experience of sales in the Auchan network is especially interesting and can be useful for the company.
Just5 has almost managed to occupy a dominant position in the new market, but with the release of one device from Texet, the situation may radically change, and the sales that Just5 handsets showed will seem scanty in comparison with the sales of Texet TM-B100. So far, everything goes exactly to this: a noticeable difference in price in favor of the TM-B100 with characteristics similar to those of the Just5 model and a more impressive network of the company's presence, and, consequently, the ability to sell the device.

Conclusion
There were no complaints about the quality of signal reception during the two weeks of testing the device. Where the network is "caught" by various communicators and smartphones, which I mostly use most often, Texet TM-B100 also received an excellent signal.
It's hard to find fault with the volume of the polyphonic ringtone: any melody at the maximum level will rattle so hard that you can hear it even at a construction site or in the subway without any problems. But the vibration alert in the phone turned out to be very weak. The problem is that the vibrations in the TM-B100 are frequent and short, and as a result, when the device vibrates, it is almost imperceptible, and you can feel the vibration only if the phone is in your hand. As soon as you put it in your pocket and, even more so, in your bag, the vibration ceases to be felt.
As a phone for grandparents or parents, this is a great choice. The model has no problems with communication, a loud speaker, a practical, non-marking body and an adequate price without overpaying for a brand or image.
The SAR value for this phone is 0.557 V / kg

It's no secret that older people find it quite difficult to master modern gadgets. Even an ordinary phone can often become a real challenge for them, not to mention newfangled smartphones.

Present to your attention mobile phone for seniors Texet TM-B116! Its design and functions are developed taking into account all the characteristics of the target audience. Thus, using the telephone will be very convenient even for users with impaired vision and impaired hand motility.

Taking into account all the features

The keys of the phone are quite large, as are the numbers depicted on them. Each button contains letters of both the Latin and Russian alphabet. The menu is clear enough and the font is easy to read.

There is an SOS button on the back of the phone for emergency calls. It is painted bright orange and is easy to find even by touch. By clicking on this button, the user can send a request for help to several numbers at once in the form of a call or SMS. At the same time, a sound signal will turn on at the same time to attract others.

Model advantages

  • Built-in voice recorder.
  • Slot for memory cards.
  • 50 SMS in memory.
  • LED flashlight.
  • Calculator and alarm clock.
  • SOS button for emergency calls.
  • Notebook for 200 contacts.
  • Large buttons with easy-to-read symbols.
  • Can be used as a portable radio receiver (87.5 - 108 MHz).

Convenient charging

A distinctive feature of this model is the presence of a special charging cradle. This is especially true for people with impaired vision, since it is much easier to put the phone on the stand than to insert the charger into the corresponding connector without glasses.

Telephones have become an integral part of our life, performing at once a complex of tasks, among which, of course, the main one is still the need to be always in touch. And today we will touch upon the issue of communicating with elderly relatives, some of them quickly adapted and began to use smartphones, but there are also those who are physically difficult to use the screen and touch controls. Here special versions of telephones come to the rescue, which have received the popular name "babushkofon". They are distinguished by their increased dimensions of buttons, large numbers and fonts, display elements and the presence of an SOS button. An interesting novelty in this category of phones was presented by a Russian company, launching sales of teXet TM-B116.

There are 2 versions of the phone: teXet TM-B114 (phone with normal charging) and teXet TM-B116 (using a cup holder). We have selected the version with a convenient glass-style charging dock. In our opinion and a number of interviewed elderly relatives, the charging process is really more convenient than the traditional cable connection to the phone. Plus, this phone is inexpensive, you can verify this in the summary table below, compiled on the basis of data from the Yandex.Market service.

teXet TM-B116 review

Equipment

TeXet TM-B116 is delivered in compact packaging with description of benefits and data on characteristics.

The package includes a charging station, a microUSB cable, an AC adapter, a battery, instructions and a warranty card.

Appearance

teXet TM-B116 is made in a compact black plastic case. Dimensions (52x106x14 mm) and weight (88 grams) are optimal for comfortable placement in the hand.

They did not save on the quality of the assembly, all the parts are perfectly fitted to each other. The cover will not bend under finger pressure.

The corners and side edges are rounded. The shape is symmetrical, without protruding elements. Most of the front panel is occupied by a mechanical keyboard. It consists of twelve buttons with a telephone unit and a two-position navigation key.

Numeric characters are large. The receive key is green, the reset key is red. The same buttons are involved in navigation and confirmation of actions.

The center of the teXet TM-B116 button block is highlighted in blue. In the dark, the characters remain legible. Even with impaired vision, there should be no problems with readability. Additionally, the number dialing is duplicated by the voice prompt of the currently pressed digit.

The buttons are easy to press, the travel is average, the tactile response is good. The numeric keypad is convenient to use.

Above the keyboard, teXet TM-B116 has a 1.77-inch TFT color screen.

The SOS button is displayed on the back of the case. To find it blindly, the outer surface with a textured pattern. This button is necessary to quickly send a text message, voice call. A separate item is driven in data on blood group, disease.

At the top of the frame is an LED indicator that functions as a flashlight. On the bottom there is a microUSB connector and contacts for a docking station.

The case is collapsible, under the cover there is a compartment for a removable battery, a slot for one SIM and a microSD memory card.

Screen

Above the button area, there is a 1.77-inch TFT color screen with a resolution of 128x160 pixels. The display is simple, the viewing angles are limited. The fonts are large, well readable.

Software and work

The functionality of teXet TM-B116 is an example of minimalism. It's easy to understand the menu: contacts, calls, messages, multimedia, organizer, settings.

Each section consists of sub-clauses. It is possible to store about 200 contacts in the phone's memory, for each of them a name and a separate melody are set.

Among the multimedia features there is a player and a radio (works without the need to connect a wired headset). The reception quality is good, the volume is acceptable.

In the settings, you can adjust the volume, set the general operating parameters.

The main calling function in teXet TM-B116 is well implemented. The speaker can be heard during operation and when placed in a pocket of clothes and a bag. The vibration alert is sensitive. The microphone is sensitive. The earpiece speaker transmits sound without distortion. Enough for normal communication, but for older people the volume may be insufficient.

Battery

A battery with a capacity of 600 mAh is responsible for autonomous operation. Considering that teXet TM-B116 is a simple phone, it lasts about 1-2 days of battery life. The battery labeled BL-4C is also used in a number of other phones. For charging, there is a convenient docking station included.

Results for teXet TM-B116

teXet TM-B116 with enlarged buttons and numbers, voice prompts, emergency button, flashlight, advanced configuration makes it an excellent option for people with disabilities and elderly relatives. You can find fault only with not the highest volume of the spoken speaker.

The device can be safely called a work on the errors of the TM-B100 model. Not all of them have been fixed, a couple of new ones have appeared, but in general, the device has become more interesting, and besides, it is more affordable. What can be called design has also appeared. The phone is suitable not only for elderly people, but also as a working "dialer" with a minimum of functions. In my opinion, the device immediately and completely displaces the previous model of the company from the market, losing to it only by the lack of radio, which is really not needed by the target audience, and will press the Just5 devices, primarily due to the lower cost.

Design, body materials
In terms of the materials used, in their combination, the device practically does not differ from its predecessor. The main part of the body is made of soft touch plastic, and the front panel is made of glossy plastic. The keyboard has become rubberized - this is perhaps the only difference in materials.

There are no complaints about the assembly - the device withstood strong compression, twisting and bending, while not making a sound. The battery cover slides with optimal force - not too hard, but not easy enough to open accidentally. Soft touch is practical, but still, after a couple of weeks of carrying it in a bag with keys, pens and flash drives, it managed to "grab" a scratch, you can see it in the photo.

The glossy plastic of the front panel collects prints as well as touch monoblocs, but it's not so bad.

Most importantly, the B200 does not give the impression of a square, faceless box. The curves of the case look good, the block of function keys is designed in an interesting way. In no case can the device be called “stylish” or “designer”, but it is made with taste.

Dimensions (edit)
Today it will not be possible to avoid comparison with the previous model of the device in any section. Dimensions of TM-B200 are 110x47x16 mm. This is 7 mm higher, 2 mm narrower and 1 mm thicker than its predecessor, with the same weight of 80 g. The phone is unusually light for its dimensions. It seems that apart from the body, there is nothing in it. But this, in my opinion, is a definite plus. Let it not give a "tasty" feeling of heaviness in the hand, but it does not strive to slip out of the hands, outweigh, even if you hold it at the very base. And, having fallen, a light phone will harm itself much less than a heavy one, and a device for the elderly will fall repeatedly. In the hand, the novelty lies better than its predecessor - this is facilitated by the rounded contours of the case.

Control elements
The set of controls has changed slightly. The built-in radio receiver disappeared, and with it the radio switch on the left edge of the device also disappeared. Now nothing is adjacent to the volume rocker - all that remains is to grope for it during a conversation, with which my grandmother had no problems.

On the right edge there are two toggle switches. The lower one blocks the keyboard and has two positions - on. and off, and the top one is three-position, with the "neutral" position in the middle. Sliding this switch up will activate the flashlight, even if the phone itself is turned off.

Moving downward opens the menu for setting the alarm, which, in general, is not superfluous, but I was worried about the fact that it will not be easy for older people to catch the intermediate "neutral" position. My grandmother again acted as the tester, who dispelled my doubts - she confidently switched in all three positions and even set the alarm clock to the right time in a minute. In general, the presence of slide switches on the side ends of the grandmother's phones is a very correct idea, it is not for nothing that it has taken root among all manufacturers. My grandmother has been using the Nokia 1100 for several years and is still confused by the "Star Menu" combination, but she immediately became friends with a separate lever.
The flashlight is located on the top of the phone, where it should be. Below are the charging connectors (this time it's micro-USB) and 3.5 mm for the headset. There is a lace hole in the lower left corner.

Above the battery cover is a bright orange SOS button. Its functionality is configured in the menu.

The manufacturer's intention is as follows: a long press on this button turns on the siren, and the phone sends an SMS with the text "I need help!" (can be changed) to the specified emergency numbers, and then tries to call the first number. If it was not possible to get through, then the second number is dialed (the siren is still on), and so on up to the fifth number. If it was not possible to get through to any of the five preset numbers, the device tries to dial a new one, only three attempts. On the one hand, it is a good thing, if something happened, then help is needed as soon as possible, and the siren will attract the attention of others, the world is not without kind people. On the other hand, the SOS button works even when the keypad is locked, the only way to stop the siren howling is to remove the battery or wait for the cycle described above to complete. And pressing this button, for example, with a comb in a bag, will not be difficult. A suddenly blaring siren in an elderly person's bag can in itself lead to a heart attack. It's good that the siren can be turned off in the settings, but then, if the SOS button accidentally triggers, the phone will start sending alarming SMS to family and friends "on the sly". In general, my advice is to disable the emergency call button in the menu so as not to scare anyone half to death.
After completing the review, I received a comment from the manufacturer - in new firmware, the SOS button will be disabled by default, it can be used at will. A reasonable solution in my opinion. Whoever really wants to use this function can always turn it on in the settings, while the rest will not have to face it unexpectedly.
Keyboard
The engineers worked very well on the keyboard of the device. I'll take the liberty of calling it ideal for the target audience. The buttons are large - it is almost impossible to miss, rubberized - the fingers do not slide on them, they are spaced apart - the likelihood of touching the next key is excluded. Well, the most important thing is the moment of triggering. The click of the buttons is very pleasant. It's not too loud, but it feels great (really great) with your finger. Pressing is moderately tight, the phone can be held by the keypad without fear of accidental presses, but no excessive effort is required to dial.

Compared to the previous model, a definite plus is the presence of the Latin alphabet on the buttons. The inscriptions on the buttons are well discernible at any time of the day, the orange backlighting, though not ideally uniform, performs its main function well.

Pressing the buttons can be accompanied by a signal, it is rather nasty and, in my opinion, redundant in the presence of such good tactile information content of the buttons. The phone can also speak aloud the pressed buttons in the dialing mode. Maybe someone will come in handy.
Screen
The display has not changed with the change of generations, the physical dimensions, resolution - everything remains the same. The TM-B200 displays up to three lines of text at a time, with a well-readable font. The backlight is orange, its brightness is optimal for any conditions (do not forget that monochrome LCD displays are perfectly readable in bright sunlight without any backlighting). In standby mode, the screen displays the operator's name, time (very large) and date, as well as signal and battery levels. Additional icons may also be displayed - a missed call, a new SMS, a set alarm or a connected headset.

Menu
The menu also hasn't undergone any special changes. I could just refer you to the TM-B100 review, but still want to reiterate the main points. The menu of the device is called up by pressing the navigation rocker up. Six main menu items are located on the sides of the screen in groups of three, and the selected item is displayed large in the middle. The movement is accompanied by animation, it is the same as in the previous model, but it looks a little faster. I did not like that the animation is looped, if you linger on some menu item, the repeated repetition of the same simple sequence of frames starts to get a little annoying. Much more logical is the scheme with a one-time display of animation when choosing a menu item, used by most manufacturers.

Inside the menus they are executed as a simple list, there is a cyclic movement. On the right, in comparison with the B100 menu, the scroll bar has disappeared (which made it possible to increase the width of the line by one character), but instead there is an item in the form of a horizontal bar that delimits the beginning and the end of the list.

Contacts
For some reason, the memory of contacts in the phone has decreased by a third: two hundred versus three hundred. Although for the target audience the law of large numbers works here. Well, for those who like this phone as a working "dialer", 200 numbers may not be enough. A contact name can now contain up to 20 characters (was 13) for the SIM-card memory and up to 16 - for the phone memory, each name corresponds to one number. In the view mode, contacts from the phone's memory and from the memory of the SIM card are displayed, the icon next to it explains where exactly the contact is stored, this is convenient.

Posts
Only simple SMS messages are supported, the "glued" device does not understand and saves them as two (three and so on) separate messages. Up to one hundred SMS can be stored in the phone's memory.

Challenges
The device stores up to 10 incoming, outgoing and missed calls (10 in each list). Pressing the call button from the main screen opens the general list of calls, individually they must be opened through the menu, I like this scheme more than opening only the list of outgoing calls by clicking on the "green" one. Calls to one number are not duplicated - only the most recent is saved.

Reminders
There are three items in the "Reminders" menu that are very similar in functionality: Alarm clock, Notes and Birthdays.

Up to three alarms can be set, both for a single actuation and for certain days of the week. For each alarm, you can select a separate melody. Notes differ from an alarm clock only in that you can add a text message of 80 characters to each one and set a specific date for a single triggering, and not the next day, as is the case with an alarm clock. Birthday reminders are simple too. You can set up to ten of them, specifying the person's name and date of birth, as well as the time at which the reminder will be triggered, the melody is not selected, it is set the same for all birthday reminders in the phone settings. In the alarm setting menu, you can bypass the menu by sliding down the lever on the right side of the phone.
Calculator
4 basic arithmetic operations.

Settings
There are a minimum of settings, but the most basic thing in them is. You can select ringtones, SMS, key tones and birthday melody, adjust the volume. The key tones, as I said, are rather nasty, I would advise turning them off, fortunately, the keyboard allows. Unfortunately, you cannot turn on the voice guidance of dialing without turning on the key tones in the menu, it's a pity, I would be comfortable with just such an option.

You can turn on the silent mode (this is the only way, through the menu, there is no quick mute of the sound), change the interface language, set the time, turn vibration on or off, and so on. By the way, the vibrating alert turned out to be completely optional, just for show. It has a high frequency, and the amplitude is very small - the vibration can be overlooked even in a jeans pocket. In general, the only hope is for a loud call.
Competitors
A very good comparison of the models of grandmothers from Sergey Kuzmin is on the site, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with it in order to understand what you can choose from in this market segment.
Six grandmothers
The manufacturer's recommended price for the TM-B200 is 1,590 rubles, but you can find another 100 rubles cheaper. The previous model, Texet TM-B100, won, primarily due to the price, over most devices in its segment with the same set of functions and level of convenience, while the TM-B200 outperforms the B100 in all respects. On the whole, Just5 devices do not look more advantageous than the considered model. Judge for yourself, CP09, which is as close as possible in all characteristics to the hero of today's review, costs almost twice as much. The CP10 has an interesting design, but its price is even higher. CP11, in my opinion, is already a movement away from the target audience - the elderly. Onext Care-phone 1 has a slightly higher price than Texet TM-B200, and, importantly, it is more difficult to find on sale. In general, against the background of competitors, the new babushkophone from Texet does not give up at all. On the contrary, in order to compete with it on an equal footing, just competitors should slightly lower prices for their devices.
Conclusion
The phone has no problems with communication. The device confidently holds the signal, the quality of speech transmission is good, and there is also a volume margin. For people with severely impaired hearing, the phone has a speakerphone, you can turn it on during a call by holding down the "0" key - there is no need to look at the display. The vibration, as already mentioned, is not the best in the phone. You won't be able to feel it through your clothes. But the call is loud, the offered melodies are perfectly audible in any environment, even on a busy street.
The operating time in the "grandmother" mode (the phone is always on, but calls are made for several minutes a day, after all, the older generation prefers wired communication more) was just over seven days. It is not surprising, because the device has a 1000 mAh battery, which was recently installed in most smartphones.
For the target audience, Texet TM-B200 is an almost ideal choice. At the most affordable price among competitors, it offers excellent ergonomics, there are no redundant functions (like the abolished radio). And as a phone for calls, in my opinion, it will suit many people.

This greatly facilitates the use of the phone for visually impaired people who find it difficult to insert the jack into the plug without glasses. The battery will start charging as soon as the phone is placed in the base.
