What is fog cooling and when is it used? Mist cooling system High pressure pumps.

What is the difference between fogging high pressure from low?

You may be convinced that the systems low pressure 10-40 bar has the same effect as a high 70 bar. It is not true. Low pressure systems pour water on people. This works on the beach and only high pressure needs to be used on the restaurant veranda.

Can I install your hardware myself?

Oh sure. The pumping unit comes fully assembled and ready to be switched on. You do not have to connect parts of the installation with wires and understand the nuances of the layout of the fog system.

On the Fogging System Installation Instructions page, you will find a description and video on self-installation systems Vtumane.ru. Also, in the box with the pump there will be a paper version of the instruction. Installation is simple and takes 3-4 hours for a basic veranda.

Other sites sell Chinese pumps for 50-60 thousand rubles, what is their difference from Vtumane.ru equipment?

  1. With all the assurances from the sellers that the pump of Chinese pumps is made in Italy / Germany or "according to Italian technologies", the resource of such pumps is 1 season. If you plan to operate the equipment on a busy project, then less than a season.
  2. An unpleasant surprise after a breakdown will be the complete absence of any spare parts for such pumps.
  3. The nylon pipes included with the Chinese systems are not made from durable PA11-12 polyamide, but from low-quality plastic. Over time, such pipes burst from pressure, flooding the veranda or house with water.
  4. Fittings from Chinese kits eventually cease to hold the pipe, a line break occurs.
  5. Most Chinese systems use their own fittings and pipes. We have tried, Italian equipment is often not suitable for replacement. This means that when you need to replace a leaked fitting or pipe section, you will have to search for them for a long time.
Having saved 20-30 thousand rubles, you get equipment for 1-2 seasons. After this period, the Chinese equipment will have to be dismantled, and then re-purchased and installed a new kit. Will come out more expensive, checked.

If you understand the risk and are deliberately choosing a pump from China, please visit alibaba.com and aliexpress.com. There you will find the same pumps 2-3 times cheaper than buying them in Russia. The price for a set for 20-30 nozzles starts from 18,000 rubles, including delivery.

Will no water drip on furniture and visitors from the nozzles?

Vtumane.ru systems are 100% protected from drops. AquaBreeze FOG70 pumps must be equipped with a drain valve that relieves excess pressure from the line when the system is idle. Also, we only use nozzles with a built-in anti-drip valve. All this gives a guarantee against dripping water from the nozzles during the pump stop.

An important property of high pressure fog is the ability of small fog droplets to quickly evaporate by absorbing heat from the air.

Due to their small size, water droplets evaporate quickly. It is evaporation, that is, the transition from a liquid to a gaseous state, that absorbs heat from the air. The specific heat of vaporization of water at a temperature of 15 ° C is 2466 kJ / kg or 589 kcal / kg. The lower the relative humidity, the more water can be evaporated and, accordingly, more heat is absorbed from the air. The specific electricity consumption for the evaporation of 1 kg of water is from 2.5 to 10 W per hour, depending on the size of the fogging system.

Only 70–80 bar pressure will provide a uniform and fine mist with a droplet size of about 10 microns, which evaporates immediately and does not fall out in the form of wet spots and puddles on surfaces and equipment. Such fog improves working conditions for personnel or increases comfort for visitors, maintains the technological parameters of the air in production and warehouses, preserves the quality of raw materials and finished products, protects equipment and environment from dust or odors.

Installation of a fogging system in a private household or farm helps to solve several main tasks:

1. Maintaining the required humidity.

2. Maintaining the set temperature.

3. Foliar dressing.

1. Maintaining humidity

For optimal growth and fruiting of many crops (tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, many others), it is recommended to maintain a certain level of humidity. Compliance with the required moisture content increases yields and minimizes the risk of developing diseases.

However, in a greenhouse (in a greenhouse, for example), the required humidity will not be maintained by itself during the season, and even more so all year round... Depending on the season, weather, solar activity, watering schedule and many other factors, humidity will vary widely.

So the task of the zealous owner is to take control of humidity into their own hands.

From high humidity you can get rid of with ventilation, but you can only save yourself from low humidity with the help of installation Taman education systems, which, by spraying water in the form of a mist, increases the humidity to the specified one.

2. Maintaining temperature

In summer, due to solar activity, the temperature outside can reach high values, and even higher in enclosed spaces. Heat can harm the productivity of crops both during the flowering period and during the growing season and fruiting.

It is possible and even necessary to lower the temperature in the greenhouse by installing shading and ventilation systems, but in addition to them, it is also used fogging system... The temperature lowering effect is achieved due to the evaporation of atomized fine water.

3. Foliar dressing

The fogging system can be used for foliar feeding and plant protection: spraying fertilizers, microelements, protective solutions.

There are two types of fogging:

  • with high pressure,
  • low pressure

I. High pressure fogging

Differs in very high pressure in the line with foggers - above 20 atmospheres. All components of such a system are designed for high pressure, fogging nozzles are most often made of brass. To create such a pressure, it is necessary to use a special pumping station and comply with very high requirements for water filtration. In addition, high pressure is dangerous if handled roughly.

High pressure fogging nozzle

High pressure fogging pump

The fog obtained in such a system corresponds to real fog due to the very small sizes the resulting water droplets, but due to the use of high pressure, such equipment and components are very expensive and are used in large industrial greenhouses.

II. Low pressure fogging

Exists whole class equipment for obtaining fog, operating at low pressure - about 2-2.5 atmospheres.

Of course, the resulting water suspension from such systems cannot be called a full-fledged fog. It is rather not fog, but very small droplets, but for most applications this is sufficient, especially when used in medium and small greenhouses.

Fogger for 4 nozzles

Fogger 1 nozzle

Low pressure, conventional water filtration as for drip systems sprinklers, standard pumps and controllers are all reasonably priced equipment.

Therefore, any greenhouse owner can buy and assemble a low pressure fogging unit.

What you need to assemble a low pressure fogging system:

  • Controller - controls the operation of the system according to a schedule or sensors,
  • Pumping station - provides required pressure in the fogging line,
  • Filter - cleans the water and protects the nozzles from clogging,
  • Water supply line - provides distribution of water through the greenhouse to the nozzles

1. Controller for fogging

Automatic operation of the fogging system is ensured the right choice controller... The controller must ensure the performance of the necessary task to maintain temperature, humidity, etc.

The main feature of the controller for fogging systems, it is possible to turn on the water supply to seconds ... Since the inclusion of fogging is carried out, as a rule, for 10-15 seconds.

In fogging systems, only specific controllers can be used, since conventional timers not able to turn on the water supply for seconds... Such a function is possessed, for example:

  1. some models of Gewa-Baccara timers with the index W (Window)
  2. automatic irrigation controllers f. Irritrol series Junior.

Junior Max controller

Special Window timer f. Baccara-Gewa LLc.

2. Pump for fogging

A low pressure fogging pump can be used with just about any pump that provides the required water flow and pressure for the fogging nozzles. Better to use pumping stations with expansion tank- a receiver, since frequent switching on and off for a pump without a receiver is harmful.

A pressure reducer can be installed downstream of the station to stabilize the outlet pressure.

3. Filter for fogging

Mist nozzles require clean water so it is necessary to use a filter after pumping unit... The degree of required filtration is needed at the level of 130 microns. This requirement is met by conventional 120mesh filters used for drip irrigation systems.

How does the fogging system work?

The fogger works on the principle of a natural air conditioner, a waterfall: the water suspension constantly evaporates, while taking heat from the air.

When the pump unit is turned on at 70 bar, a high-pressure water flow moves to the nozzles of the system, where water droplets turn into particles with a size of 5 microns, we get the effect of lightning evaporation. Fog lowers the temperature of the surrounding space, and the more liquid is involved, the lower the air temperature will be.

This process is "thermodynamic". It is effective due to the fact that it takes a lot of energy to evaporate water (it takes 600 calories of heat to evaporate 1 gram of water). The release of this energy leads to a decrease in temperature. Overall efficiency system depends, of course, on temperature and humidity. With an increase in temperature (ideal for system operation are temperatures in the range from 29 to 45 ° C) and a decrease in air humidity (at humidity above 90%, the system performance is low, at humidity in the range from 40% to 90%, the systems work well, at humidity below 40% they work best) the results of the system can be very significant. Obviously, the more liquid is involved in the process, the stronger the cooling effect.

Advantages of fogging systems:

  • Can lower temperatures up to 15 degrees Celsius;
  • Economical in water consumption (consumption for a classic gazebo is up to 2 liters / hour);
  • Low energy consumption;
  • Safe to operate (ordinary water is used);
  • The control unit and pump are protected by special anti-vandal housings
  • Warranty and post-warranty service.

Where will fogging be in demand?

The artificial fog system is perfect solution, when it is necessary to lower the temperature, create a pleasant microclimate and the necessary level of humidity, therefore, in a sultry summer time when the temperature goes off scale, foggers become especially relevant for cafes with open terraces and for summer grounds.

Fogging systems are installed in cafes, restaurants, hotels, amusement parks, tennis courts and clubs. The fogging installation also found decorative use in pools to supplement landscape design and creating various visual effects.

Where can you buy foggers?

Our company is engaged in the supply of equipment for fogging in Ukraine and the CIS. Our experienced specialists will prepare a project and calculate the cost of the fogging system, you can see the prices in the catalog of arbors.

Happy first day of summer everyone! Although the summer is rainy, I believe the heat will come, so the review is devoted to hot weather - you need to prepare for it in advance!

Walking around the city in the summer, I repeatedly met on cafes hanging at the top of the "fog" sprayers, usually made with the use of special high-pressure pumps. I live in a rather hot climate, it is quite natural that I have been "drooling" on this for a long time, but the price stopped me.
An evening visit to the dinosaur park added fuel to the fire ... the fog looked very impressive with illumination among the thickets and tall trees, and dinosaurs moving in it ... Mother-in-law even "squeaked" when suddenly some of the dinosaurs began to move at dusk (motion sensors were installed on visitors) - and although I was not bloodthirsty by nature, I caught myself thinking that it even gave me some pleasure;).
Well, since I almost constantly live in the country, and I like to be on summer evenings in open veranda, I decided to look for something similar on Ali (it meant, of course, not dinosaurs for my mother-in-law;).
Quite a lot of "rummaged" options ... At first I discarded the options with pumps, as completely non-budgetary and at the same time not giving a guarantee of obtaining the desired effect.
Then I removed the options with plastic nozzles and nozzles that have large diameter holes, with beautiful advertising (which was not very hard to believe). I wanted to get the most similar dispersion to the fog, and not to the "irrigation" system "on your head" in the literal sense of the word.
As a result, there are very few options left.
Among them was a seller with a fairly high rating of 98.8%, who, moreover, agreed to make some discount on his product - he could not resist. I decided to try it "in business" :) And in the spring I made an order.

Order screen

By agreement with the seller, it was sent (to reduce the cost) by simple mail - but I was in no hurry to go anywhere, it was still supposed to be used in hot weather ... but the spring somehow "failed", and so it constantly drips from above.
Arrived in a "Sovdepovskaya" cardboard box

On the page there is such an advertisement for this "device" in action, not to say that I particularly trusted this kind of photographs exhibited for any product (including those with pumps), but I wanted to get at least something remotely similar.

The store claims the following characteristics and scope of delivery:

> one set includes:

A. Adapter 1 pc.
B. Quick connector adapter 1pc.
C. Slip-resistant lock connector - 10 pcs.
D. Mist nozzle - 10 pcs.
E. Tubes 15 m
F. Cover cap - 1 pc.
G. Clip 10pcs

To figure out which of them, which I decided later ...

The seller also promised:
* Fast installation, simple and flexible, energy saving.
* Even after installation, the side of the tube can be changed freely.
* Special design slip-resistant connector of the lock to make it more convenient and labor-saving to disconnect.
* Kits include clamps from of stainless steel(clip). It is easy for them to be installed in tight spaces and walls.
* DIY systems

Let's start translating all this into a language we understand!
Doing so how we were taught from kindergarten of course it's easier with pictures :)

The following kit was received:

15 meters of hose (quite stiff - probably rated at decent pressure)

adapters to connect this thin hose to a tap or irrigation hose.

Moreover, there is even a mesh filter in the adapter to prevent large particles from entering the spray system

Clamps for fastening the hose in rubber, probably to prevent the hose from chafing by the side edges, and for a more reliable fastening

10 pieces, I don’t know what to call them - "crap" that connects the pieces of the hose and into which the nozzle is screwed. A kind of connector with a thread for a spray.

By the way, running ahead, I will say that I VERY liked this "crap" - this connector is very cleverly made. It has holes for the hose on both sides, so these holes are quick-release couplings.

Those. in the manner of systems garden watering- when squeezing the rings (on each side there are), the clamps converge / diverge inside, which very firmly and tightly fix the hose. Once connected, the hose can be easily twisted or quickly disassembled to reconfigure the entire system or for storage. Credit to the manufacturer!
Well, further to our set ... the most important detail is 10 pieces of nozzles

which have a declared diameter of 0.3mm and which should produce 10-30 micron drops (I wonder how they can be measured? :)

rubber sealing ring on the back of each nozzle

well, and probably the last "important" detail of this "LEGO" - a plug at the end of the hose.

This is how a "piece" of the assembled connector with a nozzle looks like

To begin with, I decided to see, "was it worth it?" And before assembling the entire structure, I assembled the system for one nozzle using the entire cable (then I was tortured to expel the water from it - the service stood :)

connected it in the garden to the standard watering system

well, I turned it on ... to be honest, the result was somehow not particularly impressive: (something of course splashed, but not quite what I wanted to see ...

it seemed somehow not too fine dispersion turns out ... okay, let's go. We need to see what happens when you connect a large number nozzles - how much the spray will change and how it will look. One nozzle does not provide a normal performance representation.
Well, let's take a tool and start a test assembly?
You will need a tape measure and a knife itself.

We estimate at what distance and how many nozzles we want to place and cut the hose to the required length of the piece, since it has a margin. I proceeded from about 4 meters of the length of my veranda and 10 nozzles, so I cut about 9 identical pieces + one longer lead-in for connecting to the water.

We equip all connectors with nozzles

By the way, something like this looks like a clamp with a clamp - it sits quite tightly even without compression.

well, voila - the assembled system ... It took everything ... but the hell knows how much, I forgot to time it! Pretty quick and easy!

Naturally, I immediately went to try!
... what can I say !? And it works ... and even pretty well! The photos show poorly the size of the dispersion, only in general.

A fairly contrasting rainbow is visible from a certain angle, which indicates the presence of a large number of rather small particles

Since the use of this irrigation system is not only cooling of "resting places", but can also be used to create a very humid environment, for example, in a greenhouse (the seller also offers the option of air purification and dust deposition in a similar way in closed rooms), here is a photo of how it can be used in a greenhouse

As we can see, everything looks pretty decent. Of course, questions remain, how quickly it can clog, etc. Although in part I took just this kind of nozzles, with the possibility of their subsequent cleaning (if necessary).
A short video of working in a greenhouse ...

Well, is it time to "try" on the veranda? :)
There was still no weather to cool down ... I waited a lot of days. Spring is kind of ... damp and cool and without additional moisture (I've noticed this more than once - install a split - summer is cold, buy a cool fireplace stove, winter without frost). Tired of waiting, I decided to try in the "cold".
Attached to the top of the veranda with self-tapping screws ...

there was a garland nearby from winter, but in principle it is protected from precipitation.

What can I say ... the first pancake is lumpy ... while I was running I turned on the "sprayer" I realized that I needed to run even faster and turn it off :))))

Somehow I did not calculate the position of the nozzles explicitly. Everything around is wet and, interestingly, the nozzles continue to water for a long time after the tap is closed. Probably a small residual pressure in the hose is quite enough. After a couple of minutes of waiting, I had to disconnect the hose - the water consumption is small, you can expect otherwise for a long time.

Outweighed with a margin and placed the nozzles in a slightly different way, checked - IN! Practically what is needed, except that it seems "not enough" injectors, although who knows, it is necessary to test for a longer time and in fact determine already :)
It looks like this! Approximately, because the photo very poorly conveys all this suspension / fog.

The view from afar to the resting place, the fog itself, of course, is not particularly visible :(

Therefore, a few fragments of the video - the atmosphere there is somewhat clearer ... and yes, now everything is dry :)

In short, while I'm happy with the purchase ... Time will show how comfortable it will be in the heat - as long as there is no hot and sultry weather outside to give an unambiguous answer - will there be any benefit other than external “decorating” with fog. But you need to post a review now, if you want to be in time with the purchase before the heat sets;)

It should be understood that the dispersion of the particles of this "sprayer" is approximately equal to any kind of sprays in cans, and larger than that obtained, for example, by ultrasound or nozzles under significant pressure, but for "their" purposes it is very good, even better than expected. Those. not fog in the full sense of the word, but a very fine suspension ...

Pros Fast and easy assembly / disassembly, and multiple times are allowed! Good quality spraying without the use of special pumps - just from the tap. Very low water consumption.

Minus - well, just the price, perhaps, all the same could have been cheaper ... The rest of the minuses will probably appear over time - I haven't found it yet.

ZYZh I recommend the seller - sociable and decent in appearance, you can "beg" and a discount;) And the price list for this type of kit is probably the cheapest, cheaper with similar nozzles and mounts could not be found - I was looking for a long time.

I plan to buy +151 Add to favourites I liked the review +138 +270
