  • Lamination. On the surface of the base plate under high pressure a thin film of laminate is attached. It is very durable, not afraid of mechanical damage. In contact with moisture, it remains neutral, repelling it;
  • Polymerization. Instead of a laminate, a thin layer of durable polymer is applied. The properties are about the same. In an office setting, the method is rarely used. If only it has to do with high level humidity.

Equipment

The choice of the facade opening system is quite traditional for pedestals:

  • Swing. The door is attached to the body at the side with movable furniture hinges. If necessary, pull outwards to open. In this case, the sash will require a significant amount of space. Do not pull it by force. Jerks and presses lead to the breakage of the fasteners;
  • Folding. The method is used less often. The hinges are carried down the sash. This adds side folding holders with position latches. The door opens outward downward until the locking device clicks;
  • Retractable. Drawer design system. Miniature rollers with outer side guides are used. Very sensitive to height differences. They immediately begin to get stuck in the grooves. Take up a lot of space in open form... The drawer cannot be pulled out completely without deforming the rollers.

It is better if the cabinet combines drawers and shelves with a straight bottom. This allows you to organize storage in the most efficient way. Basically, you can put whatever you want inside. But, objects should not get dirty. Store liquids upright to avoid leaks.

Types of bases
