The big lake Koggala is located a few kilometers from the resort of the same name. Although it is actually a natural lake, the water in it is salty due to the fact that the ocean water still flows into it. The taxi ride from the international airport, which passes through the hinterland of Sri Lanka, usually lasts between 3 and 3.5 hours.

She "shoots" strong fountains of water every 10-15 minutes. During the southwest monsoon, from May to September, the height of such a fountain can reach 15 meters.

Trincomalee resort

Beautiful beaches and a photogenic harbor are found in the coastal town of Trincomalee, in northeastern Sri Lanka, on the peninsula. Half an island in a lagoon, the city was only slightly affected by the tsunami. The 54 km long salt water lagoon has some truly scenic spots to explore with a boat trip.

Also of interest in Batticaloa is the Lady Manning Bridge, which connects the land to the island. The steel bridge dates from the colonial period of Britain and is one of the longest bridges in Sri Lanka.

In total, there are four beaches in the local district - Medaketia, Pallikaduva, Medilla, Goyambokka. Lush tropical greenery, palm trees hanging directly above the water, warm sea and great weather practically all year round... The infrastructure is well developed, there are restaurants and shops, hotels offering a full range of services necessary for tourists. The city is located far from Colombo, at a distance of 195 kilometers, this determines the fact that there is a small number of tourists, for a couple of kilometers you can wander along the deserted coast. The place is chosen by people who love solitude or VIP - persons who do not want to meet tourists on vacation.

Unawantuna - Unawantuna - the beach is called the same as the village in which it is located, the village itself is located along the highway that goes towards Galle from Colombo, the distance to the airport is 164 kilometers. In this place there is a beach of indescribable beauty, semicircular, one of the ten best beaches in the world according to the "Discovery" channel. Blue Lagoon with incredibly clear water, as well as the area is protected by a double coral reef.
