Gratuti again. Greetings, comrades. A small post not about 3D printers, but about creativity within the work. True, about half a year has passed, but I decided to write a post today. Gods .. destiny .. It just so happens that I work for furniture production design engineer. And in addition to design, my responsibilities include writing control programs for CNC machines (milling). In general, one day the boss comes: "In short, the director wants a present for the granddaughter of the chairman of the concern ..." and gives me a picture of the dollhouse. We are working with wood, why can't we master the tunnels? Hu .. No question. Dimensions wish 1200x1000x360
I sit down to design. Before that, I consult with an employee who has a daughter who is growing up and has a dollhouse micro-mansion in stock. Having specified the nuances of operation, I choose the material plywood 10mm and 6mm. After a while, a sketch appears. And then the thought comes: "We should make the house quickly prefabricated with grooves." Well, it is practical, given the dimensions - it is not very convenient to move such an assembly. Resolved. Redoing. In case of failure to assemble, I perform a control 3D model. Everything seems to be OK.

I agree on the sketches with the management and sit down to write programs for CNC. Surface milling is straightforward, especially in the presence of ready-made models - the contours are pulled out with a bang. The programs are ready. Basic structure will be 10mm, all decor will be 6mm.

You can go home to the machine. When I threw the programs onto the machine and started work, the workers twirled their fingers in bewilderment at their temples and were actively interested in what kind of jerk ooh ... an amazing idea this time? Having learned about my goals, they walked away and again twisted their fingers to my temples, admired the idea of using a machine with a working field of 3060x1260 to cut the plywood of a dollhouse and the management of the factory.

After all the details are ready, I send them to the grinding section and finishing. Well, then the assembly - the house was assembled as planned - without the participation of fasteners, with the exception of the frames of the windows (they were taken with glue like "liquid nails". If desired, the structure is fixed with a pair of screws. This is such a gift.

P.S. The management seemed to like everything. However, after a couple of days I received a reprimand for what I wrote in the documentation " children's house"instead of" puppet ", and this is like Additional requirements to the standards of children's furniture, in general. Fucking bureaucrats.

  • we cut out the walls of the future house from plywood or laminate;
  • we cut out windows and doors in them;
  • we glue the walls together, it is also fashionable to use construction nails or staples;
  • we make a roof, it can be flat or sloping. To give a real look, you can use corrugated cardboard, and then paint it;
  • we fasten the resulting structure to the foundation - a sheet larger than the house itself. On an unused site, you can make flower beds, sidewalks, a playground, parking;
  • we glue the wallpaper and lay the floors;
  • we furnish the house with furniture;
  • you can also add curtains made from pieces of fabric, bedspreads, rugs, etc.

Plasterboard dollhouses

After renovation, many household parents leave the remaining building materials to gather dust on the balcony in the hope that they will someday come in handy. Their time has come! Drywall can make a great dollhouse.

A good house made of this material is that it turns out to be very light and easy to assemble. But, at the same time, it will need to be handled more carefully - it will be quite fragile.

The scheme of such a house is no different from a product made of plywood or laminate. But it is much easier to assemble such a house, and there are much more layout options - with the help of partitions, rooms can be divided among themselves.

  • we connect the walls with toothpicks, then glue the walls together;
  • for the strength of the roof, first we install bamboo sticks over the walls, and only then we glue the roof to the walls;
  • we make a staircase from wooden rulers or the same foam;
  • you can also use toothpicks for the railings;
  • in addition, if you wish, you can also make a balcony, massandra or even a terrace from polystyrene;
  • painting the house;
  • inside we decorate the house as in the previous description.

  • install interior partitions made of cardboard, they will serve not only to delimit the space, but also to hold the frame structure together.
  • we start repairing and furnishing!

House of boxes

The simplest and quick option... It is enough to pick up the right amount boxes (depending on the number of rooms), we fasten them together with a stapler, after placing them on the side so that the top of the box serves as an exit.

This will allow you to open the front wall at the right time to make a rearrangement, tidy up, etc.

We cut out windows and doors. Let's start designing the frame.

Note!

House of folders for papers

It needs four folders. We glue them from the inside with wallpaper or sheets printed on a printer with decor items and household appliances in the plane.

We cut out the windows in the folders, set the folders vertically, fasten them with the clips that are available for each folder. Your house is ready.

House made of fabric

This option is good because it practically does not take up space, it can be folded down altogether.

With the help of a dense piece of fabric, we make the back wall - it will serve as a foundation. We sew a rectangular base for the house. We make pockets, to which the cardboard for the floors will then be attached. We attach ribbons to both corners of the pockets.

It remains only to sew pockets with a rectangular base from one edge so that the ribbons are on the back. Floors with tapes and sew tapes to the back wall. We decorate the house and start playing!

How to make

Making a house for dolls from plywood is a multi-stage process. It is required to follow a certain sequence of actions. To facilitate the work, you can use the step-by-step instructions.

Stage 1. Preparation of the sketch

The diagram should show the layout, the dimensions of the floors in length, width, height.

You can find a sketch on the Internet, correct it. The photo shows several basic schemes for a toy dwelling.

The most important thing is the observance of the proportions of the dimensions to scale. This is necessary in case you want to change the dimensions of the product during operation.

The design can be thought over in advance to purchase and prepare necessary materials for decoration.

Step 2. Prepare accessories and tools

For assembly you will need:

  • Plywood. To determine its amount, a drawing is used: the number of parts, their dimensions are calculated, and the total surface area is obtained. Based on the result, they acquire the required number of sheets. For a desktop house, 2-3 blanks will be needed, for a large mansion it can take up to 7-10 sheets of plywood.
  • Corrugated cardboard for the roof.
  • Tool for cutting wood. An electric jigsaw is recommended. It will help you quickly, accurately cut parts required forms, dimensions.
  • Joiner's glue for fixing assembly elements.
  • Assembly tape as an aid for fastening parts.
  • Fine sandpaper.
  • Roulette, ruler, pencil for marking.

For registration you will need:

  • PVA or silicate glue.
  • Wallpaper, colored films.
  • Self-adhesive tape for imitation of flooring.
  • Colored cardboard or paper for decoration individual elements premises (optional).

Stage 3. Transferring the image

To assemble the wooden parts into a single whole, they must be cut from a blank sheet. To do this, scale sketches are transferred to paper, finished parts are cut out of it, and later used as a template.

If windows are not indicated on the diagrams, they are drawn when transferring patterns. On a flat-looking house without a front wall, window cuts are not needed.

Stage 4. Assembly

Step-by-step assembly instructions:

  1. An electric jigsaw is used to cut out the parts transferred to the plywood. They try to do this carefully, without going beyond the contour lines: in case of a design error, they may connect incorrectly.
  2. Sand the edges to make the parts safe and avoid injury.

Cutting and edging should be done by an adult.

  1. Build starts by combining interior space... Towards vertical end walls with the help of glue and mounting tape, ceilings and internal partitions are attached according to the diagram. To strengthen the connection inner corners glued with thin strips. They will add rigidity to the structure. At this stage, a child may be involved in the work.
  2. Stairwells are made of wooden rulers. They are placed in the form of slides or cut one, glue a real staircase out of it.

  1. Attach the back wall.
  2. Assemble the roof. Solid slopes can be cut out of cardboard and glued. Another option is to assemble the roof from individual pieces in the form of shingles.

The finished frame of the house is left for several days until the glue dries, the structure acquires sufficient strength.

After assembly, proceed to the design.

Stage 5. Design

The finished frame is decorated and furnished with doll accessories. Recommendations:

  • The floor can be left in original form or decorate. Plywood has a wood pattern, so it is not advisable to cover it with a similar ornament.
  • You can make swing windows, doors. To do this, fit the canvases onto pieces of cardboard or use small metal door hinges... The passages are closed with fabric curtain cuts. Windows are sometimes replaced with cardboard shutters.
  • The ceiling and walls can be pasted over with colored films, wallpaper, or painted.
  • Furniture for toys is placed in the rooms.

Additional functions

Not only the aesthetic, but also the practical side of the house is important: toys must be stored somewhere, accessories must be removed, something must be hidden. Additional built-in drawers can be made in the upper or lower tier. This is appropriate if the house is large and takes up significant space in the living space.

Boxes are also made of plywood... The drawing provides for a place for storing things. The sides of the box are cut out of plywood, glued together. Screw on the handle, insert it into the department.

You can make a hinged door as in the photo. To do this, the cut out canvas is screwed onto metal loops.

Conclusion

A DIY plywood toy house will become good gift for any child.

The construction process will take 2-3 days, taking into account the preparation of blanks, their cutting, and drying of the glue... The child can decorate the premises independently.
