Atoll filter connection diagram. Household filters atoll for water purification

BRIEF REFERENCE

CLEAN WATER is water with a pleasant taste, containing no organic or non-organic organic matter in hazardous to health or undesirable concentrations, corresponding to the established sanitary standards and rules.

REVERSE OSMOSIS - water purification by passing it with pressure through a semi-permeable membrane. This is the principle behind atoll RO filters and does not involve the use of chemicals.

MEMBRANE is a semi-permeable material through which only water and oxygen molecules can pass.

PREFILTERS - are used to purify water from insoluble particles, chlorine, organic substances before the water reaches the membrane, and help to increase the life of the membrane.

CONTENTS OF DELIVERY

SAFETY INFORMATION

The atoll reverse osmosis filter fully meets all safety requirements, which is confirmed by the Russian certificate of conformity. Nevertheless, everyone who uses it should know the principle of operation and its features. safe work... To avoid problems and errors, carefully read this section and strictly follow the instructions for installing and maintaining the filter.

Important! The pressure at the filter inlet should not exceed 6 atm. If there is a possibility of increasing the pressure in the inlet pipeline above 6 atm, in order to prevent leaks, it is recommended to install a Honeywell D04 or D06 pressure reducing valve in the system before the first prefilter.

  • The filter is designed to purify water in the amount necessary for cooking, drinking and other household needs.
  • Check the water to be purified for compliance with the points “Requirements for water supplied to the filter”.
  • If the filter is brand new, do not use purified drinking water until the completion of the adjustment and flushing procedures.
  • Adjustment and flushing of the filter is carried out in the following cases:
    • at the first connection;
    • when replacing the filter in a place with a different quality of source water;
    • after replacing the membrane and / or replacement elements.
  • If the supplied water is of unknown quality, then after the filter starts operating, it is advisable to analyze the purified water. In the future, to make sure that the filter is working properly, the purified water should be checked at least once a year, or if its taste changes. If the analysis results are unsatisfactory, contact the service organization.
  • In the event of water leakage or other malfunctions, stop the water supply to the filter and call a specialist to restore normal operation.
  • Important! If it is possible that the temperature in the room where the filter is installed below 0 ° C, it is necessary to protect the filter from the effects of low temperatures. If this condition is not met, you cannot count on warranty service.
  • Modifications to the system or making any design changes are prohibited. This could result in personal injury and / or property damage. Wherein warranty obligations also lose their force.
  • Everything necessary work with plumbing must be carried out by a qualified technician. If you make the connection yourself, then you need to familiarize yourself with current regulations and stick with them.
  • When moving the filter for storage for more than 2 weeks, you must:
    • disconnect the filter from the water supply, turn off the power supply;
    • empty the storage tank;
    • remove the membrane and replaceable elements, pack in a bag and place in the refrigerator (+2 - + 5 ° C).
  • Replacement parts should not be stored near odorous or toxic substances and must be protected from dust.
  • Do not keep purified water in aluminum or copper containers due to possible corrosion and a possible increase in the concentration of non-ferrous metal ions in clean water.
  • Do not place objects on top of the filter and storage tank.

Check the system regularly for leaks.

To limit damage from water leakage, it is recommended to install an atoll anti-leak valve. Leak Stop® on the tube through which water is supplied to the filter.

The service life of the atoll reverse osmosis filter is 5 years.

Although the atoll reverse osmosis filter retains all bacteria and viruses contained in the source water, it is recommended to use the filter only with microbiologically safe water. Use a filter to purify water that has been pre-disinfected with chlorination or UV light. V otherwise the service life of prefilters may be less than the period of their regular replacement.

ATTENTION!

To prevent bacteria from entering the filter during installation, we recommend that you wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or use new clean rubber gloves before connecting all pipes and installing the membrane and cartridges, as well as before installing the water supply unit and the storage tank tap.

* - the useful volume of the storage tank depends on the pressure in the water supply system and is usually 50-70% of the total volume.

A typical water treatment scheme is shown in rice. 3... All elements are replaceable, and you can always choose the most optimal option for your conditions.

For reliable and long-term operation of the atoll reverse osmosis system, it is recommended to use the following devices of the given diagram in order of decreasing importance:

  1. Stage - 2 - pressure reducing valves with a preset pressure in the range of 3-4.5 bar to protect against pressure surges in the water supply.
  2. Stage - 1 - filter pre-cleaning- on highly polluted water.

The rest of the steps are optional and serve to protect other plumbing devices. See the Commentary Table for details.

All equipment is built into the water supply system, but its further maintenance (cleaning, replacement of cartridges) and repairs are carried out right on the spot - without dismantling from the water supply network.

Filter drinking water installed in the kitchen in the cabinet under the sink.

Due to the high performance of the circuit elements, their installation does not affect the water flow rate in any way.

All devices, with the exception of drinking water filters, are capable of functioning in a wide temperature range: for cold water- up to + 40 ° С, for hot - up to + 80 ° С.

When installing outside centralized drinking water supply systems, it is recommended to pre-analyze the source water. If the water characteristics established as a result of the analysis are worse than those indicated above, it is advisable to install an additional water treatment system. It is better to consult with the specialists of the seller or service center about its composition.

I. CONNECTING FLEXIBLE TUBES WITH QUICK DISCONNECTORS

ATTENTION: tubes can be cut for ease of installation, but we recommend keeping their length to facilitate service... No tools are required to connect the four colored tubing. The pipes must be cut straight, otherwise leaks at the joints are possible.

JOIN IS VERY EASY!

  1. Cut the tube at right angles.
  2. Insert it into the connector until it stops. Apply additional force to seal the joint. In this case, the tube will be drowned by about 3 mm and will be tightly crimped with the rubber ring of the connector.

PIPE CLOSED

Pull the tubes to check the connection.

To prevent accidental disconnection, secure the ring with the blue clip ( rice. 6).

DISCONNECTING IS EASY

  1. Make sure there is no pressure in the tube.
  2. Remove the blue clip to prevent accidental disconnection.
  3. Click on the ring at the bottom.
  4. Pull out the tube while holding the ring down.

Please pay attention to the need to check the tightness of the connection before installing the filters. During this check, it is necessary to pull the tubes coming out of the connectors with sharp movements. This will check the reliability of the connection and ensure the notch of the tube with the metal hooks of the connector.

The tubing should be cut straight, at right angles.

II. DRILLING A HOLE FOR A PURE WATER TAP AND CONNECTING IT TO A FILTER

ATTENTION: although the process of drilling a hole in the sink is not very difficult, it nevertheless requires appropriate skills, attention and care. Use protective goggles and gloves. Contact a specialist if necessary.

To install a clean water tap (A), a flat surface of sufficient rigidity is required so that the tap is securely anchored in an upright position. When choosing a location for drilling a hole (diameter 13 mm), be guided by aesthetic considerations, after making sure that:

  • the length of the blue tube is enough to connect a clean water tap to the filtration unit;
  • on the underside of the countertop or sink, nothing will interfere with the connection of the tube to the fresh water tap.

Install the clean water tap in accordance with rice. eight... We recommend not to tighten the nut (see. rice. eight) before the installation is completed and the system is functional, so that it is possible to make sure that there is no water leakage at the junction of the valve body and the threaded tube. A set of parts for connecting to a tube can be supplied with a clean water tap, or a clean water tap may include a quick-disconnect connector. On rice. 9a, b, c are given possible ways connecting the blue tube to a clean water tap.

If there is no place on the surface of the sink for installing a tap, then it can be mounted on the surface of the table ( rice. ten).

III. COLD WATER CONNECTION

ATTENTION: make sure that the filter is connected to cold water (tmax 38 ° C). Connect to hot water will disable the filter.

  1. Close the cold water shut-off valve. Open a cold water tap on the mixer to relieve pressure. If water continues to flow from the tap even after the valve is closed, you will have to close the main valve of the house or apartment.
  2. The system is connected to the water supply through the water supply unit. The filter kit may include a combined water supply unit, a tee tap. In this case, go to step 6
  3. Assemble the water supply unit by connecting ball valve with a tee as shown in rice. eleven... Using the FUM tape, screw the water tap into the tee. Be extremely careful when connecting the valve - excessive force will damage its threads. Use only a wrench or small adjustable wrench. Do not use other materials to seal the connection.
  4. Loosen the union nut and disconnect the flexible hose from the mixer.
  5. Replace the union nut gasket if necessary.
  6. Install the assembly into the gap in the mixer wand as shown in rice. 12... Use a wrench or adjustable wrench.
  7. Connect the red tube from the filter to the ball valve using a union nut or quick disconnect.

IV. INSTALLING THE TANK BALL VALVE

Note: do not touch the air valve on the storage tank (located on the bottom of the tank).

A yellow tube is used to fill and empty the tank; depending on the operating mode, the direction of the water flow changes in it.

  1. Wrap the threads on the top of the tank three times with FUM tape.
  2. Connect the tank ball valve to the top of the storage tank (see. rice. 13). To avoid damage to the valve, do not use excessive force when installing it. Use a wrench or adjustable wrench.
  3. Connect the yellow tube from the filter to the quick connector on the ball valve of the storage tank using a union nut or quick connector.

V. DRAIN CLAMP INSTALLATION

The drain clamp fits the drain siphons of sinks with a diameter of 40 mm.

It must be installed on the vertical part of the pipe before the first bend of the siphon ( rice. 13). The section of the pipe into which the drain tube comes out must not be filled with water.

  1. Drill a 6.5 mm hole where you plan to install the drain clamp.
  2. Stick the seal on inner side drain clamp brackets with connection. Insert the tube into the clamp bracket ( rice. 15).
  3. Position the two drain clamp brackets so that the hole drilled in the siphon lines up with the hole in the drain clamp and the protruding part of the tube.
  4. Tighten the mounting bolts. They should be tightened evenly so that the two drain clamp brackets are parallel to each other.

The filter can be completed with a drain clamp with a union nut.

Vi. RINSING THE FILTER AND STARTING OPERATION

DO NOT DRINK THE WATER THAT HAS BEEN OBTAINED FROM TWO FIRST TANK FILLINGS!

  1. Install prefilter (s). The first prefilter (marking on the PREFILTER flask) is already installed in all models. Install the carbon cartridge into the second flask (CARBON marking). Install a mechanical pre-filter in the third stage (SEDIMENT). To install the cartridge, it is necessary to unscrew the flask using a wrench (10). Peel off carefully protective film from the cartridge and install it into the flask. Pay attention to the “THIS END NEXT TO VESSEL THREADS“ mark on the top cap of the cartridge or the directions on the label. Tighten the flask by hand, without using a wrench, without applying excessive force.
  2. Install the membrane. To do this, disconnect tubing (H) from the diaphragm cap quick connector. Unscrew the cap of the membrane flask (MEMBRANE marking). Lubricate silicone grease rubber membrane seals. Install the diaphragm into the body according to rice. 16... Lubricate the diaphragm flask cap seal with silicone grease and carefully install it onto the flask. Screw on the diaphragm flask cap and attach tubing (H). Make sure that the flask cap O-ring is installed on the flask without distortion.
  3. Disconnect tubing (F) from the inlet of the shut-off valve and direct it into any container (bucket, sink, etc.).
  4. Open for 2-3 minutes. water supply valve (B) for flushing the cartridges.
  5. Close the water supply valve (B), attach the tube (F).
  6. Close the tank cock (C).
  7. Open the water tap (B). Switch on the power supply if a pump is present in the system.
  8. Make sure there are no leaks.
  9. After five minutes, water will start dripping from the fresh water tap (A). Let the water drip for 10 minutes, after which, after a few minutes, no more water flows into the drain from the black tube. The system has now reached the maximum possible clean water pressure. Pull on the tubes again to check the connection.
  10. Open the tank valve (C) by turning it 90 ° - the process of filling the tank will begin. This will take several hours depending on the inlet water pressure.
  11. After filling the tank (you will hear that water is no longer flowing to the drain and the pump (if present) is not working) open the clean water tap (A) and wait until all the water has flowed out.
  12. Close the fresh water tap (A). Let the tank fill a second time. This process will take about 2 hours. Then drain the water from the tank.
  13. The clean water from the third filling of the tank can be used.
  14. Important! Check the system daily for leaks during the first week of operation.
  15. When the system is first started up, the color of the water may be slightly milky. Don't worry - these are small air bubbles, they will disappear soon. The normal process of displacing air from the system is in progress.
  16. Make sure there is no leakage at the bottom of the pure water tap body, tighten the tap nut ( rice. eight).

Vii. REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

(cm. rice. 4)

* - the actual terms of replacement of replaceable elements can differ significantly from the recommended ones due to the poor quality of the water supplied to the filter.

If it is necessary to replace worn-out cartridges, it is recommended to purchase special sets of replacement elements.

Replacing prefilters

  1. Open the fresh water tap (A) to relieve pressure.
  2. Using the key (10), unscrew the prefilter flasks, for this, hold the system with one hand, and turn the key with the other.
  3. Remove and dispose of used replacement parts. It is recommended to protect your hands by wearing rubber gloves to avoid touching used parts. Replaceable elements, as well as the filter itself (at the end of its service life), must be disposed of together with solid household waste.

Remember the sequence of installing replaceable elements. Rinse inner surface flasks for household detergent and brush and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  4. Remove the o-rings of the flasks, wipe them dry. It is advisable to lubricate the gasket of the new replaceable element, as well as the O-rings of the prefilter flasks with silicone grease or vaseline oil.
  5. Place the new replacement elements in the filter flasks in the same order as the old ones were installed (after removing from the new cartridges plastic wrap), and screw them to the system until they stop. The flask must be screwed on by hand; a plastic wrench can be used only in case of EXTREME NECESSITY.
  6. Disconnect the white tubing (F) from the inlet of the shut-off (four-way) valve.
  7. Place a bucket or sink under the pipe and turn on the water tap (B). In this case, the newly installed replaceable elements will be flushed.
  8. After 2-3 minutes, close the water tap (B) and connect the pipe (F) to the shut-off valve.
  9. Close the fresh water tap (A).
  10. Open the water tap (B). Switch on the power supply.
  11. Check the system for leaks.

Replacing the membrane

Pay attention to the tightness of the quick couplings when replacing the diaphragm. If, after several connections (for example, to replace cartridges), the edge of the tube has numerous “seizures”, it should be cut off.

  1. Close the water tap (B). Disconnect the power supply.
  2. Close the storage tank valve by turning it 90 degrees.
  3. Open the fresh water tap (A).
  4. Disconnect the tube (H) from the cap of the membrane flask (MEMBRANE mark on the flask).
  5. Unscrew the cap of the membrane flask, remove the used membrane. Remember the direction of installation of the membrane in the flask, discard the old membrane. The used membrane must be disposed of with solid household waste.
  6. Install a new membrane (see item 2 of the section "Flushing the filter and starting operation").
  7. Close the fresh water tap (A).
  8. Open the storage tank valve (C).
  9. Open the water supply valve (B) to the system. Switch on the power supply.
  10. 10. Check the system for leaks.

Replacing the carbon post-filter

Pay attention to the tightness of the quick couplings when replacing the post-filter. If, after several connections (for example, to replace cartridges), the edge of the tube has numerous “seizures”, it should be cut off.

  1. Close the water tap (B). Disconnect the power supply if a pump is present in the system.
  2. Close the storage tank valve by turning it 90 degrees.
  3. Open the fresh water tap (A).
  4. Detach two tubes from the post-filter (POSTFILTER marking on the flask).
  5. While holding the filter, remove the post-filter from the clips holding it.
  6. Reinstall the new postfilter in place of the removed one. In doing so, do not confuse the inlet and outlet (the direction of water flow is indicated on the body).
  7. Attach the tubing to the quick disconnect connectors.
  8. Open the system water supply valve (B) and clean water supply valve (A). Switch on the power supply. Let the water drain for about 10-15 minutes.
  9. Close the fresh water tap (A).
  10. Open the storage tank valve (C).

After any replacement of replaceable elements, it is necessary to flush the entire system. To do this, you need to drain one tank of water, which will fill up in 1.5 - 2 hours.

Before attaching the tubing to the quick couplings, it is advisable to lubricate the ends of the tubing with silicone grease or petroleum jelly to better seal the connection.

Unevenly cut tubing can cause leaks in the system. If necessary, correct the cut so that the cut angle is 90 °.

Dependence of the volume of obtained pure water on the water pressure at the filter inlet (water temperature 15 ° C, product withdrawal 15%)

DISINFECTION OF THE FILTER

Disinfection of reverse osmosis systems is carried out after a long (more than 3 weeks) system downtime. Disinfection is also desirable when replacing cartridges. Use unflavored 5.25% household chlorine bleach(sodium hypochlorite). Distinguish between disinfection of the filtration unit and disinfection of the storage tank.

Sequence of actions for disinfection of the filtration unit

  1. Turn off the water supply.
  2. Turn off the tap on the tank.
  3. Remove and discard all cartridges and post-filter.
  4. Remove the membrane, pack it in an airtight bag and place in the refrigerator.
  5. Screw the flasks of the 2nd and 3rd prefilters, the membrane flask, connect the tube from the pure water tap to the tee instead of the postfilter.
  6. Pour 50 ml of bleach into the flask of the 1st prefilter. Screw on the flask.
  7. Open a fresh water tap.
  8. Restart the water supply to the system.
  9. When water with a chlorine smell comes out of the fresh water tap, close it and turn off the water supply to the system again.
  10. Leave the system on for 2-3 hours.
  11. Open a fresh water tap and resume water supply to the system. Wait for the chlorine odor in the tap water to disappear.

  11. Drain the tank by disconnecting its tube from the outlet of the 3rd prefilter. Re-establish the original tubing connections.
  12. Install cartridges into the system. Open the tap on the tank. Restore the water supply.

Options

1. Increasing the system performance, upgrading the system to operate at low water pressure in the supply pipeline (for models not equipped with a pressure boosting pump).

If the water pressure at the filter inlet does not exceed 2.8 atm., Then to increase the capacity, it is advisable to install a pressure boosting pump ( rice. 17). If there is a possibility of increasing the pressure in the inlet pipeline above 4 atm., In order to prevent leaks, it is recommended to install a Honeywell D04 or D06F pressure reducing valve in front of the pump.

The pump is installed in front of the first prefilter in the rupture of the red supply tube. For normal operation of the pump, it is necessary to fix it on a vertical or horizontal surface with four screws.

* If the input water is of very poor quality and contains a large number of mechanical impurities, it is necessary for the normal operation of the pump to install an additional main pre-filter atoll I-11S.

The pump should only be installed complete with a high pressure sensor installed in the tube break in front of the storage tank. The sensor is necessary so that the pump works only when filling the storage tank. After the tank is full, the water flow is stopped and the pump is turned off.

Sensor low pressure prevents "dry running" of the pump. The sensor is mounted in front of the first prefilter.

Both the high pressure pump and the sensors are equipped with quick connectors.

2. Elimination of microbiological contamination of the input water.

The presence of microorganisms leads to fouling of prefilters, a drop in pressure and, accordingly, to a halt in the operation of the filter as a whole. To avoid this, it is recommended to pre-install ultraviolet lamp Sterilight SC1 / 2 (see. rice. eighteen) complete with atoll I-11S main prefilter.

3. Protection of the storage tank from unwanted ingress of microorganisms.

If the filter is not used for a long time (2-3 weeks), there is a possibility of the penetration of microorganisms through the tap of clean water into the storage tank. It is possible to clean the tank from microorganisms that have got there only by subsequent flushing with a disinfectant solution. To prevent this, it is necessary to install a Sterilight SC1 / 2 ultraviolet lamp between the clean water tap and the storage tank in the break of the blue tube (see. rice. 19). The lamp is attached to the filtration unit or to any surface using two clips.

4. Connection to the ice maker.

The ice maker is connected to the filter through a tee (for example, UT0404), installed in the break of the blue tube from the filtration unit to the tap ( rice. twenty). The length of the tube from the filter to the ice maker should not exceed 10 meters.

5. Reducing the content of nitrates in the source water.

For the most effective removal nitrates, you must additionally install a filter containing a replaceable element atoll NRC-10. The decision on the place of installation of the nitrate prefilter should be coordinated with the specialists of the seller or service center.

Instructions for replacing cartridges.

The cleaning system works at full capacity only when it is handled correctly and the filter elements are changed on time. Otherwise, there can be no talk of any clean and useful water. And remember that only original cartridges remove all dangerous impurities from the water.

If you have already purchased atoll filters, replacement of cartridges is carried out according to the following scheme:

  • We turn off the tap of the general water supply to the apartment, as well as on the system itself and the storage tank.
  • We open the drinking tap so that all the liquid remaining in the system comes out.
  • We take out the filter from the cabinet, and then unscrew the flasks with a special key.
  • We take out the old cartridges and rinse all containers well, then wipe them dry.
  • We install new filters, tighten the flasks.
  • We put the system in place and turn on the water to check for leaks.

Experts recommend opening the tap for drinking water supply for 5 minutes after replacing the cartridges. The liquid will completely fill all the flasks, and the filter elements will be able to start their work - high-quality water purification from all contaminants hazardous to health.

How often do you need to change cartridges?

If your house has atollfilter, replacement consumables must be timely. The manufacturer says that each cartridge has a maximum service life:

  • prefilter - 3 months;
  • filter elements with granular activated carbon inside - 6 months;
  • membrane cartridge - 2 years;
  • postfilter - 12 months.

But not always expendable materials serve for so long. After all, it all depends on the quality of the water itself, which enters the filtering system.

Replacing Atoll Cartridges- a task that can be solved independently. But if you have no experience with such devices, then it is better to entrust this matter to a professional from the service department. After all, making the slightest mistake, you can spoil not only the filter elements, but also the cleaning system itself.

Atoll filter connection diagram

Atoll purification filters you can connect on your own without involving a specialist.

By purchasing filters of this brand, you get the following set:

  • Water purification system with replaceable cartridges.
  • Plastic key.
  • Clean water tap and connection kits.
  • Two plastic tubes 2 meters long.
  • Water supply tap.
  • Tee.
  • Blue brackets to prevent accidental disconnection (installation optional).
  • A - white tube - connects to a clean water tap.
  • B - red tube - connects to the pipeline.

Step 1 - connect flexible tubes with quick-release connectors.

Attention! Make sure there is enough length for the connection before cutting the tubing. No tools are required for installation, the main thing is that the pipes are cut evenly, this will provide protection against leaks.

  1. Cut the tube at right angles.
  2. We insert the tube into the connector until it stops. It must be sunk 5-6 mm so that it is tightly squeezed by the connector ring.
  3. Install the blue bracket to prevent accidental disconnection.

To disconnect the tube, remove the blue bracket, press the ring at the base, holding it in this position, pull on the tube.

Step 2 - Drill holes for a clean water tap and connect it to the filter.

- The place under the tap should have a diameter of 13 mm, while it is important to take into account that the length of the blue tube is sufficient to connect the tap of clean water to the filtration unit, and nothing underneath the sink or countertop prevents the installation of the tube to the tap of clean water.

When installing a clean water tap, we rely on the following diagram:

A set of parts is supplied with the crane, and the crane can also have a quick-disconnect connector. They will provide reliable sealing of the joints.

Options for connecting the tube to a fresh water tap:

The crane can also be mounted on the table surface.

Step 3 - We connect to the cold water line (the temperature should not be higher than 38C, otherwise the filter will fail).

Use clean rubber gloves when performing all piping work to prevent bacteria from entering the system.

  1. We close the cold water supply valve. We open the cold water tap on the mixer and release the pressure. If it continues to flow, close the main valve of the house or apartment.
  2. The system is connected to the water supply through the water supply unit.

- We assemble the water supply unit by connecting the tee and the water supply tap according to the figure:

We screw the water supply tap into the tee using the FUM tape. It is important not to damage the threads, so we use an adjustable or wrench.

  • Loosen the union nut and disconnect the mixer and flexible hose.
  • If necessary, replace the union nut gasket.
  • Install the assembly into the gap of the flexible mixer hose:
  • We connect the tube from the filter and the ball (or needle - depending on the configuration) water supply valve.

Step 4 - Flush and get started

  1. The first cartridge is already installed by the manufacturer, the rest must be supplied by yourself. We unscrew the flask with a plastic wrench, remove the protective film from the cartridge and install it in the flask. We twist the flask with our hands without a key.
  2. We open the water supply tap.
  3. We open the tap of clean water.
  4. Make sure there are no leaks.
  5. After a few minutes, close the tap of clean water.

The system is ready to use!

Check regularly for leaks during the first week of use. The milky color of water is not a reason for worry, these are air bubbles that will disappear in the near future.

Atoll Filter Replacement Instructions

A special key is included with the filter, which is necessary for further filter replacement. This must be done every six months.

  1. For convenience, we carefully remove the system from under the sink or countertop. To do this, we shut off the water directly on the filter and on the storage tank or the general water supply in the apartment.
  2. Next, we take a set of Atoll filters with cartridges, take them out of the package.
  3. Using a special key, unscrew the lower cartridge counterclockwise. We take out the contaminated cartridge, drain the dirty water from the flask and rinse it. We lubricate the O-ring of the flask with special silicone, which is included in the kit.
  4. We release the new cartridge from the cellophane packaging. We put it in the flask and screw it back.
  5. We return the system to its place.
  6. We turn on the water supply and check for leaks.

How often to change replacement cartridges

  • Porous polypropylene cartridge - every 2-3 months.
  • Granular activated carbon cartridge - every 5-6 months.
  • Mechanical cleaning porous polypropylene cartridge - every 5-6 months.
  • Membrane - every 2-3 years.
  • Postfilter - once a year.

The timing can be adjusted depending on the quality of the water. Even if the filter is used irregularly, it is extremely important to adhere to the replacement times, since the cartridges become a favorable breeding ground for bacteria during periods of “idle time”.

Why is timely replacement necessary? The answer is simple - this allows you to extend the life of the membrane, as well as provide high quality cleaning for many years.
