Install roll curtains on plastic windows. Installing roller blinds with your own hands

Roller blinds, how to fix this question arises among the newly-made owners of fashionable and practical decoration for the window. Having appeared not so long ago, they have already become a favorite finishing touch in the design. window openings residential and office premises... When choosing and installing curtains, it is necessary to take into account various nuances: the type and type of fasteners, their combination with heavy curtains or light curtains. All this will create comfort and eliminate the sense of dissonance in the interior.

A variety of models of roller blinds allows you to choose the most optimal option for you, depending on functional purpose... Depending on modification and window composition roller blinds fixed to the ceiling, wall or directly to the window sash. Therefore, it is worth talking separately about the types of roll structures. There are two types: open and closed. Let's consider them in more detail.

Open type roll structures

Open roll-up structures allow you to attach curtains both in the window and above it. Depending on the modification, there are several types open ways fastenings.

Among the most common:

  • Using guides with a hook;
  • Fastening with mounting double-sided tape;
  • It is allowed to use hangers that will not fit every frame;
  • Fastening with self-tapping screws is the simplest and most common way;

Open design types are considered multipurpose. Among them, you can choose mechanisms that will allow you to fix the blinds not only on metal plastic windows, but also on wooden ones. Manufacturers of roller blinds do not limit the flight of your design imagination in any room.

Closed roll design

When used in the fastening of roller curtains of the structure closed type there are several things to consider. The main difference from the previous type is the presence of a box. If until recently it was believed that a closed-type structure for attaching a roller blind can only be fixed on plastic windows, today they can be seen on wooden and aluminum frames.

There are various sizes of designs on the market. It is the size of the box that plays important role when fastening curtains. When choosing an overall roller blind, it is worth choosing a design with a large box and a durable roll shaft. In this case, the curtain is fixed to the ceiling. If you can use guides, do not neglect them.

However, regardless of the type of construction, the principle of fastening itself and the operation of the mechanism are the same. With a roller blind you can darken the room at any time or, by lifting the curtain, let the sun's rays fill the room with your cheerfulness.

Installation of roller blinds: caution and accuracy

Roller blinds have rapidly become fashionable and are becoming more and more popular. They are a cloth of fabric wound on a special shaft using control mechanisms and fixed in any position at a comfortable level for you. There are a number of rules that must be followed when installing a roller blind system.

Let's give as an example the installation of one of the type of roller blinds construction:

  1. Unpack carefully and check that all items are included. Dissolve the control chain and remove the side covers from the eaves;
  2. Attach the curtain rod to the window and check how symmetrical the gap between the window and the curtain is;
  3. Mark the locations of the proposed fasteners;
  4. Use self-tapping screws to fix the cornice on the vertical window strip;
  5. Put the covers on the control unit and check the operation of the fastening;
  6. Before gluing the side guides, degrease the gluing points with acetone;
  7. Next, you should remove protective film from the side guide and glue the upper edge under the control box cover. You also need to do with the guide on the other side of the box;
  8. Lower the shade using the control chain to rubber seal and set the limiter;
  9. The next step is to install the control circuit fixing device using self-tapping screws, put on and latch the box cover.

After installation, you need to check working condition the whole structure. These simple steps to install one type of roller blind will allow you not only to properly fix, but also to extend the life of the curtains.

How to assemble roller blinds: according to instructions or intuition

Multifunctionality of roller blinds to give a special uniqueness to the interior: muted sunlight, comfortable room temperature create a cozy atmosphere in the room. Many models of curtains and methods of their fastening have been developed, but the most popular are roll-cassette ones, which can be fastened not only to the window sash inside, but also outside.

The existing fastening features allow you to choose those curtain models that, while remaining almost invisible, create an atmosphere of coziness and comfort in the room.

When assembling and installing roller blinds on a window, do not blindly trust your intuition. In this case, unnecessary fasteners may remain, and the curtain will soon cease to protect the room from the sun. Following the instructions step by step will save you time and nerves and will extend the life of the curtains. It is possible that when buying rolled curtains, it is worth ordering not only curtains, but also their installation at the same time

A roller blind is simply irreplaceable in a bedroom or a nursery, since its mechanism is characterized by the absence extraneous noise... Silent operation of the roller blinds mechanism is one of the main characteristics that the buyer pays attention to in the first place.

When checking the system, even the slightest noise should alert you, signaling the presence of a defect in the structure itself or violations during assembly.

The choice of installing roller blinds directly depends on your needs. When buying, consider not only the comfort of fixing the system, but also the type of window.

Installation of mini-roller blinds with guide strings

Mini roller blinds are ideal option for "blind" windows or with swing-out mechanism opening, and are also used if you want to hide niches in the room from prying eyes. Installing a mini-roller blind with guide strings will take a minimum of time, if you initially familiarize yourself with the illustrated instructions in as much detail as possible.

Mini curtain designs are sold disassembled.

For this reason, not only the assembly, but also the unpacking process requires caution:

  • Before installation, check the presence of all components;
  • If necessary, trim the curtain and attach it to the shaft;
  • Next, we thread the fishing line into the holes of the mounting angles, tying the edge into a knot afterwards;
  • We do the same with the second edge;
  • After that, you need to cut the fishing line;
  • Carefully insert the plastic capsules into the edge of the shaft.

Now all that remains is to snap in the edges of the attachment angle capsules and the roller blind is ready for use.

Following the rules for installing roller blinds will allow you to enjoy the comfort in any room for longer.

The process of installing mini blinds with guide strings is easy and does not differ much from other methods of attaching curtains to window sashes with a similar opening mechanism.

The design of roller blinds is quite simple - it is a canvas made of dense synthetic fabric, wound on a shaft with a weighting agent along the lower edge, which prevents the material from deforming.

There is no doubt that the most common type of balcony glazing today is double-glazed windows (in plastic, aluminum and wooden frames), and our own curtain models have been developed for them, for example, roller-cassette curtains. They are attached separately to each of the double-glazed windows, which fully maintains autonomy. window sashes... When the web is lifted, it is completely retracted into the box installed at the top of the frame. At the same time, the step-glazing unit is as much as possible insured against possible damage, it is practically not injured.

Types of roller blinds for plastic windows

There are several types: in mini cassettes and MINI systems.

Roll system MINI

The MINI roller system is a conventional roller blind on a compact shaft. Due to their small shaft dimensions, they can be installed on separate PVC window sashes. Plastic mounts fastened without drilling, so the integrity of the frame is not compromised.

Roll-up system Mini on plastic windows

To prevent the fabric from sagging on the window flaps, the metal bottom rail is secured with two magnetic holders. They are glued to the frame with double-sided foam tape. Moreover, the sash can be opened in any plane.

Low price and spectacular diminutiveness provide MINI systems good demand. When decorating windows, they often perform a darkening function. However, they cannot give the effect of complete darkening, since there are slots on the sides through which light can penetrate, although by default the Mini system uses direct winding of the canvas onto the shaft (in this case, it moves closer to the sash of the window).

According to the fastening method, fabric roller blinds used indoors are divided into two types:

  • with installation directly on the window frame (mini) - cover the transparent part;
  • with attachment above or inside the opening (roll and large roller blinds) - they cover the glass itself, the frame and part of the wall.

In order to choose the right product, you need to determine which of the roller shutter types suits your preferences in design and functionality. After that, you need to take measurements of your window. Many companies that install roller blinds and blinds provide this service, but if for some reason you decide to take measurements yourself, we will show you how to do it correctly.

During measurements, the following details should be considered:

  • The roller shutter fasteners should not interfere with the maximum opening of the window sash.
  • Pay attention to the handle - if its shape will serve as an obstacle when lowering the canvas.
  • Are the dimensions products to the parameters of the window group.
  • Does the location of the window hinges interfere with the full use of the curtain, otherwise the fabric will have to be displaced, which will have a bad effect on general view clearance.

Note! For measuring, it is better to use a metal construction tape, since sometimes even one wrong millimeter can make a difference and make further installation of the structure impossible.

How to measure a window for installing curtains with the mini system (MINI)

Measurements of windows for curtains of this model are also not particularly difficult.

  • Measure the width of the glass and add 30 mm - this will be the minimum required width of the canvas, covering the glazing bead on both sides of the window.
  • Measure the glass height and add 120 mm - this is the length of the curtain, which will be enough to completely cover the transparent part and install the mount.
  • Determine the location of the control (as a rule, it happens from the side of the hinges).
  • Choose one of the types of attachment.

After that, you need to determine on which side it will be more convenient for you to position the roller shutter control mechanism. The length of the chain used to regulate the raising and lowering of the curtain should not exceed 2/3 of the height of the curtain.

Note! The overall parameters of the product are calculated taking into account the dimensions of the brackets and will be 10 - 40 mm larger than the width of the fabric.

Curtains of this type are the easiest to install, do not require special efforts and special tools for fastening. They are mounted without drilling, using plastic brackets and double-sided tape that come with the product.
The advantage of a mini-roll over other fabric roller blinds is that when using them, the window sill and frame remain free. This makes it possible for the rational use of window space.

How to correctly measure a window for roller shutters with fastening inside the opening

If you chose a model with a mount inside the opening, try to measure as accurately as possible, taking into account every millimeter. If the dimensions are incorrect, the cornice you bought may simply not enter the window opening and further installation of the curtain will become impossible.

When measuring the width of the window opening, you need to take into account the unevenness of the walls, therefore measurements are made in three locations, and the minimum value is selected for calculations. It is also necessary to do the same when measuring the height of the opening.

  • From the smallest value of the opening width, we subtract 1 cm and we obtain the overall width of the product. Taking into account the fasteners, the curtain width will be less by 1.5 - 2 cm.
  • We calculate the height of the product in the same way - from minimum value subtract 1 cm. The length of the fabric in this case will correspond to the height of the window opening to the window sill.

The next step in the design of the window group is the choice of the type and location of the lifting mechanism, the density and design of the curtain fabric.

Measurements with installation in front of the opening

If the installation method on the wall in front of the opening is best for your window, then you have more opportunities to choose the height and width of the curtain according to your own requests. You can choose roller blinds that cover only the contour of the window, or you can purchase a model that will hide part of the wall around. This type of mounting is often used to install Blackout products that provide the greatest protection from sunlight. Read more:

For standard sizes of roller blinds, the following calculation formula is applicable:

  • Width = Width of the opening + 10 cm.
  • Length = opening height + 15 cm.

It should be remembered that the height of the product is measured from the place where the curtain is attached to the window sill or lower, if necessary. The width is also selected taking into account the desired overlap on both sides of the window opening.

Due to the variety of shapes and types of window frames, some disagreements may arise with the measurement schemes presented in the article. If your window was installed by individual project, It has non-standard shape or dimensions, in order to avoid errors, it is better to contact a specialist in the installation of roller blinds. In any case, regardless of which method of measuring, purchasing and installing fabric roller blinds you have chosen, the main thing is that the final result will bring you only positive emotions.

How to hang correctly

This type of Mini is installed on the sash of the window:

  • self-tapping screws
  • using a metal or plastic spring bracket

Installation is carried out only on the opening sash of the frame. Hinged plastic spring brackets snap into the standard and repeat the same steps as in the installation method with self-tapping screws.

In the case of metal hinged brackets, the only difference is the process of their connection with standard ones - the hinged blades are pre-bent when connecting;

  • on adhesive tape

It must be remembered that, regardless of the selected method of fastening, the uncovered section of the chain mechanism must point downward.

Roll-cassette types

Mini cassette roller blinds are practically the same, only they are assembled into a cornice that looks like a compact cassette. This type is optimal for flaps of euro-windows: plastic or aluminum and even wooden. Therefore, the name stuck to them - roller blinds for PVC windows.

Today, the most popular options are with the box and guides of the Uni and Rollite systems. The box and guides are made of aluminum. In both designs, strips of double-sided tape are provided on the side guides, with the help of which the guides are glued to the window sash.

Rolllight types can be mounted on plastic windows with the smallest glass depth of 6 mm. In this case, the side guides are equipped with a thick double-sided tape.

with U-shaped guides

If Uni systems are mounted on PVC windows with slightly recessed glass (less than 14 mm), then their modified version of Uni 2 is used, which has U-shaped side guides and is equipped with special liners under the box that move the panel away from the glass.

Cassette are controlled by one chain. With its help, you can raise or lower and fix the curtain fabric at the required height. A special retainer installed on the frame protects the chain from sagging. It holds the chain when opening the window for ventilation.

How to measure cassette roller blinds

For correct installation This system requires a competently and accurately measured window structure.

If the glazing beads are straight, then:

  • the width is equal to the width of the glass, that is, the distance between the vertical glazing beads;
  • the height is equal to the height of the glass, that is, the distance between the horizontal glazing beads.

If the glazing beads are beveled, then:

  • the largest distance between them is taken as the width.
  • Measurements are carried out with an accuracy of 1 mm.

Each kit without fail includes detailed instructions installation of roller blinds (with pictures).

Installation instructions

As an example, consider one of the installation options Uni systems.

  1. After carefully unpacking, check the completeness of the product. Dissolve the control circuit. Slightly lowering the fabric, remove the side covers from the control unit located on the cornice.
  2. The product is applied to the window in order to check (on both sides) the symmetry of the gap between the canvas and the window glazing bead. With a pencil or an awl, mark the locations of the fasteners.
  3. With the help of self-tapping screws, the cornice is fixed to the vertical glazing beads of the window.
  4. Put on the covers on the control unit and check the functionality of the product.
  5. The places where the side guides will be glued are degreased with acetone or solvent.
  6. Remove the protective film from the side guide, insert its upper edge under the side cover from the control unit and, by pressing, evenly glue the guide.
  7. Do the same with another guide.
  8. Using the control circuit, the curtain is lowered until it touches the rubber seal of the window glazing bead. Install the control chain limiter.
  9. The control chain retainer is installed using self-tapping screws. Put a lid on it and snap it shut.

disadvantages

Roller blinds for plastic windows, of course, are aesthetic and practical, economical and modern, ergonomic and reliable. But do they have disadvantages?

Sometimes some criticism is caused by the reliability of the winding mechanism (this is especially true for spring ones), but it should be noted that much in this matter depends on the manufacturer.

They perfectly regulate the intensity of light, but do not allow you to adjust its direction.

Modern, stylish interior involves the use of roller blinds. Their popularity among consumers is growing every day, and there are a number of explanations for this fact:

  • diversity color solutions and textures of the main canvas allows you to use fabric roller shutters in almost any interior, to create a unique and individual style of the room;

  • roller shutter curtain does not require special maintenance, and special impregnation fabric allows it to maintain its color and integrity for a long time;
  • high-quality fittings for roller blinds allow us to use them with pleasure for more than a dozen years.

To install fabric roller shutters with your own hands easily and effortlessly, you should familiarize yourself with some of the rules and nuances of work in advance.

Types of roller blinds

Manufacturers offer a wide range of fabric roller shutters to choose from. As a rule, they are divided depending on the composition of the fabric used, the texture of the canvas, and design.

Depending on the type of pattern and ornament, fabric roller shutters are subdivided into: plain and patterned products.

Depending on how well the curtains transmit sunlight, the following types are distinguished: transparent, dense, translucent.

According to the method of arrangement on the glass of the window, fabric roller shutters are divided into: open, cassette, mansandr and mini-set.

The most commonly used model of roller blinds is open. Its fabric is assembled on a shaft, which is attached to the window frame with special corners. A metal weighting agent is located along the edge of the canvas, which allows the fabric to lie flat, completely covering the window surface.

The cassette type of roller blinds is also very popular with consumers. Its difference lies in the fact that the shaft is located along the edge of the structure and serves to move the fabric cloth. All fasteners are hidden in a special box. This type of construction does not spoil at all appearance roller blinds. Modern design foresees harmonious combination of all elements, which ultimately allows you to get a beautiful and stylish design window.

Mini-set roller shutters are mounted exclusively in the window opening, completely covering the glass.

The mansander type of roller blinds has additional fasteners in the kit, which allow mounting such roller shutters on roof windows.

To decorate panoramic glazing or display windows very often use a special type of large roller blinds. Despite their impressive size, they are easy enough to mount.

Options for placing curtains on the window

Before proceeding with the process of attaching roller blinds to plastic windows, it is very important to decide how exactly they will be located. Let's consider several options:

After the place of installation of the roller shutters has been thought out, it is necessary to decide in what way the installation will be carried out.

Methods for installing curtains

Depending on the design features, roller blinds can be divided into the following types:

  • open design. The most simple and inexpensive option... The principle of operation is based on the fact that the canvas is in a free form, along the lower edge it is held by a metal rail, and a shaft is used for winding;
  • the closed design provides for the presence of special guides, due to which the fabric cloth is preserved from deformation, and helps it to fit as tightly as possible to the window.

For installation open systems special fasteners "mini" are used, they are located on the frame or sashes of the window. Fastenings of Roman blinds to plastic windows of the "standard" type are used for mounting roller shutters on the surface of a wall or ceiling. To fix roller blinds on windows complex shape it is necessary to use fastenings of the "attic" type.

Roman blinds differ in the following ways for attaching to a plastic window:

  1. Without using a drill. This method allows you to preserve the integrity of the frame, since the installation of roller shutters takes place only with the use of mounting tape or special glue. It is quite simple to attach roller blinds in this way and everyone can do it, but at the same time you need to remember that such an installation is suitable only for temporary use, and only for light structures.
  2. Installation with self-tapping screws. As a rule, heavy roller blinds are attached in this way. This kind installation allows you to install roller shutters reliably and for a long time.

You can also use a more exotic method of fastening to the sash, in which the roller shutter box can be moved along with the curtain. In order to fix the fabric roller shutters in this way, it is best to contact a specialist, since in this case you need not only strength and availability necessary tools, but also experience in a similar matter.

Choosing a place and method of attachment

The place and method of attaching roller blinds to plastic windows depends on the following factors:

  • materials decorative cladding walls and ceiling;
  • the size of the room;
  • window dimensions;
  • the presence and size of the window sill;
  • general style of room decoration.

In the case when the window sill protrudes very much beyond the window opening, it is better to place the roller shutters inside the window or choose brackets of such length that will completely hide the window sill with curtains.

Attention ! The wider and denser the canvas, the more the winding will be on the shaft, therefore, to mount such curtains, you need to use brackets of a certain length and density.

Installation without drilling

Fastening a roller blind to a plastic window using special glue or tape is very quick and easy.

This mounting method can be used in the following cases:

  • when there is a risk of damage to the frame or roller blinds by improper, illiterate installation;
  • an excellent solution for rented housing, offices, giving balconies, where fabric roller shutters perform a temporary function;
  • for beginners who want to install roller blinds with their own hands, but do not have enough experience in the work.

The only drawback of attaching roller blinds to plastic windows with adhesive tape is its ability to melt from high temperatures... In extreme heat, the frame heats up and the roller shutters may simply fall off.

Important ! In order to prevent such a situation, buy only high-quality adhesive tape, with a reliable adhesive base designed for this kind of action.

Fastening curtains to plastic windows using mounting tape is also not particularly difficult. Regardless of where the roller blind will be mounted, the surface must be cleaned and degreased. After cleaning, the tape is freed from the protective layer and pressed against the base with little force. Then the fasteners necessary for roller blinds are glued to it.

Installation with self-tapping screws

In order to firmly and permanently fix the fabric roller shutters on any surface, you can use self-tapping screws. Of course, in this case, the integrity of the base will be violated, but at the same time you can be sure that the roller blind will not fall to the floor. In order to carry out the installation, you will need not only a drill and self-tapping screws, but also some skills in work, accuracy, attentiveness and patience. It is very important to fix the bracket firmly to the surface. To do this, you can use double-sided tape.

Work begins with accurate measurements of the mounting location. Then the dimensions of the cassette are checked again and the brackets are fixed. The shaft is mounted using special latches, after which the box, guides and chain stop are installed. If the roller shutters are installed correctly, then their work will be easy and quiet. If you hear a creak, rustle or other unpleasant sounds, then it is worth checking the correctness of the installation again.

Since ancient times, people have been using fabric cuts to decorate their homes. Today, not only are used for this classic curtains, but also the increasingly popular roller blinds (they are also Roman blinds). They have many virtues, so every day every more people makes a choice in favor of them. Installation of roller blinds on plastic windows is most often carried out by a specialist, but you can cope with this task yourself. Today there are several types of roller shutters with their own installation features.

Mini blinds

The most widespread option today is the Mini roller blinds. They are a piece of fabric wound on a metal shaft equipped with a mechanism for raising and lowering the fabric. Experts also call this type boxless (this is due to the fact that the canvas itself is not covered by anything). The advantage of this option is that the canvas can be quickly cut to fit a window of any size... Roller shutters "Mini" are accessible and take up little space, but at the same time they look aesthetically pleasing and perfectly cope with their tasks.

In the Mini version, the fabric is located on the open shaft

Measurements

The first thing to do before installation is to carefully measure the opening.... This is important not only for Mini, but also for other roller shutter models. V otherwise the installation of a roller blind on a plastic window threatens to end with the fact that the canvas, box or shaft simply will not fit into the opening. The main thing is to do everything clearly and without errors, carefully write down all measurements.

At the first stage of installation, the roller blind measures the dimensions of the window

The first step is to measure the dimensions of the glass without taking into account the parameters of the frame. To the resulting numbers, add 3 cm to the width and 12 cm to the height. Next, you should decide on which side it is preferable to hang the control chain. The side of the hinges is preferable, so that nothing interferes with the roller shutter.

Mounting on self-tapping screws

Installation of curtains "Mini" on self-tapping screws is carried out in several stages.

  1. The roller blind in the assembly is applied to the upper sash of the window, leveling it.
  2. Marks are made on the profile for the corners.
  3. The mounting brackets are removed from the main shaft and screwed to the marked locations.
  4. The structure is assembled and pressed from above with a side plate.
  5. The chain should be threaded through the hole on the side, it should hang 10-15 cm.
  6. The curtain is mounted in the corners, after which it is fixed on both sides.
  7. Clamps are installed, the weight is hung on the chain.

Important: if the installation was done correctly, the installation of the shaft should be accompanied by a distinct click.... The complete decorative cover should be installed last after structural tests for strength.

Spring bracket mounting

This method is somewhat simpler and has only one, but very important nuance: The spring brackets can be attached to and only to the opening sash. In general, the installation of mini roller shutters on spring brackets is no different from the version with self-tapping screws according to the technology. The only difference is that instead of attaching the corners, you will need to snap the brackets on the top of the sash at a given distance.

Velcro mounting

The third mounting option is with Velcro. Most often, they are already included in the kit and, despite the visible flimsy, they are able to provide enough reliable fastening to the frame. An additional plus is that such installation of roller blinds does not imply any damage to the window, and if necessary, you can dismantle the Velcro quickly enough.

Mounting the blinds on double-sided tape allows you to do without drilling plastic

The process of installing roller blinds on a window is simple:

  1. The surface of the frame at the attachment points is degreased to ensure maximum adhesion.
  2. The installation site is warmed up with a household hairdryer.
  3. Mounts are attached to the frame.
  4. The curtain design is mounted in the mountings.

Important: regardless of the type of attachment, it must be remembered that the uncovered section of the chain mechanism must face down. If you abandon this rule, the roller shutter will simply not work.

Blinds Classic

The classic roller blind system is in many ways similar to the "Mini", but has a greater number of elements. In addition to all of the above, it also includes a box in which the shaft is hidden, on which the curtain fabric is wound. Also among the differences are guides that are mounted on window frame... They help to ensure a tighter fit of the fabric on the windows. Roller shutters Classic can create complete darkness in the room.

In closed roller blinds, the shaft on which the fabric is wound is hidden in a box

Measurements and installation

The dimensions of the curtains are calculated from the dimensions of the window: the height will be the distance from the upper to the lower glazing beads, the width will be the distance between the side ones.

Classic roller blinds are sold exclusively assembled... This allows you to save time and go straight to installing the blinds on a plastic window. It is carried out as follows:

  • With the help of a special solution, the glazing beads in the attachment points are degreased for maximum adhesion to the adhesive.
  • The guides are glued to the degreased glazing beads. Experts recommend not trying to glue the entire guide at once, it is better to do this by gradually tearing off the protective strip and heating the surface with a hairdryer. You should move from bottom to top.
  • After that, the box is attached. First, the side covers are removed from it, and then they are mounted using self-tapping screws. Before that, you should lay the curtain fabric in the guides and carefully align it.
  • All that remains is to carefully assemble the structure, put on the clamps and the complete load on the chain.

Side-mounted guide roller blinds hold the fabric in place

Mix system

A newcomer to the market is the Mix system (sometimes referred to as “bottom-up”). This option roller blinds are significantly different from their predecessors and, thanks to the original approach, have already gained a lot of fans. The key difference is that, unlike others, the Mix system is installed in any part of the window (most often at the bottom), and not just at the top.... In fact, the structure rotates 180 degrees, and the result looks stylish and functional. The dimensions of the canvas in this case is the distance between the glazing beads. No additional allowances are required.

The design of the roller blind allows you to close the window both from the top and from the bottom

Installation is carried out as follows:

  • the fishing line is cut into equal parts;
  • all parts are first passed through the upper limiter, after which they are tied into several knots;
  • limiters are attached to glazing beads;
  • free parts are threaded into the holes of the protective box, after which they are attracted to the lower bar, parallel to fixing the upper bar;
  • after the latches on the roller shutter are released, all that remains is to raise the canvas.

Whichever type of roller blind you choose, it's safe to say that it will look great on the window. Of course, the installation of Roman blinds on plastic windows is most often carried out by a specialist, but also self-assembly- quite a feasible task even for a non-professional.

  • pencil;
  • roulette;
  • scissors;
  • a screwdriver and a drill with a Ø 2 mm drill (you do not need a drill and a drill for installation on double-sided tape).

Open the package and take out the MINI roller blind. Do not use a knife or razor blade to cut the packaging, so as not to damage the product!

Option number 1 - how to fix roller blinds WITHOUT drilling - on double-sided tape

Place the roller blind on the window, use a pencil to mark it up for gluing. To avoid uneven winding of the fabric on the shaft, as a result, do not horizontal installation products - we recommend using building level... Degrease the adhesion sites with the means available to you - apply alcohol, gasoline for lighters or nail polish remover (containing solvent) to a cotton swab and wipe well. Remove the protective film from the tape from the upper eaves of the roller blind. Pressing firmly, glue the entire structure to the window leaf. Please note that installation on double-sided tape is suitable for products standard size but not recommended for large sizes products (due to the large weight).

Option number 2 - how are MINI roller blinds attached to self-tapping screws

Place the roller blind on the window, mark in the attachment points with a pencil. In order to avoid uneven winding of the fabric on the shaft, due to non-horizontal installation of the product, we recommend using a building level. Screw the upper brackets to the frame of the plastic window using self-tapping screws. Snap the upper eaves of the roller blind into the brackets until it clicks into place.

Option number 3 - how to install MINI roller blinds on hinged brackets

Insert the plastic hinge brackets into the grooves of the upper cornice. Remove the protective tape from the hanging brackets. Degrease the bonding areas with any available means and peel off the protective tape from the hanging brackets. Put the whole structure on top of the window sash according to the markings and press firmly at the attachment points.
