Drawings of bookcases. DIY wardrobe drawings

Bookcases are usually installed in the living room, but if space is available, they can be located in the bedroom or hallway. This piece of furniture may have different sizes and characteristics, and also has a different capacity. Many people like to read books, so for optimal storage their library requires a cabinet with the right dimensions and other properties. If you can't find the optimal model, then you have the opportunity to independently make bookcase do it yourself from different materials.

Before the direct work related to the formation of a bookcase for books with your own hands, you need to determine which model will be created. The structures should be well suited to the style of the room, its color range and other parameters of the room.

Bookcase models can be:

  • open - they consist of open shelves, so there are no doors. The creation of such a cabinet is simple job, for which you do not need to buy a lot of expensive materials. The disadvantages include not too presentable appearance;
  • closed - such models are considered the most optimal for structures intended for storing books. This is due to the fact that they are equipped with doors, so books are reliably protected from direct sun rays, dust or possible moisture ingress. For a more attractive appearance of such a cabinet, glass doors are used, but for this, glass with high strength is used.

By design, do-it-yourself bookcases can be:

  • vertical;
  • horizontal.

For selection optimal design it is taken into account what dimensions the room itself, in which it is planned to install the piece of furniture, has. Additionally, you need to remember about the style of the interior and the availability free space in the room, since a too bulky structure in a small living room will visually reduce its size and negatively affect its attractiveness.

Additionally, the types of cabinets are distinguished:

  • corpus - chosen by many people most often for the convenient location of a large number of books, newspapers or magazines, and it is also allowed to store many other small items. The filling of such a cabinet is chosen by direct users, so it can be equipped with swing or sliding doors, and it can also be made without facades;
  • modular - it consists of a large number of different modules, and they can be combined and rearranged, which allows you to always effectively change the appearance of the cabinet. Due to this unusual option, you can embody the original design ideas for every room and style. If the room where the cabinet is planned to be installed is small, then several modules are removed to save space;
  • built-in - usually such a structure is formed by connecting different quantities sliding doors... A feature of this option is that all walls are fixed directly to the walls of the room, as well as to the ceiling and floor;
  • corner - chosen for small spaces. Takes up a certain corner of the room, so considerable space is saved. It suits well for different interiors, differs in compact size, excellent capacity and creates free access to books.

If a built-in bookcase is chosen, then it is advisable to form it in a certain niche of a particular room.

Tools and materials

Before directly creating a structure, you should decide what materials will be used for this. Allowed to apply different materials but most suitable for different premises wardrobes made of wood are considered. For this, different types of wood can be used, for example, cherry or oak, birch or walnut.

You can buy solid wood or veneer, any option is of high quality and excellent appearance.

If it is not possible to spend a lot of money on the purchase of such an expensive material, then MDF or chipboard is chosen, as well as other lumber, on top of which there is a high-quality polymer coating... MDF is considered perfect choice to obtain an inexpensive and acceptable quality cabinet. It is produced by dry pressing and is highly durable and environmentally friendly.

Additionally, you need to decide what the doors will be made of. They can also be created from wood, but it is allowed to use plastic or glass for this. Glass doors are considered the most interesting and unusual, therefore they are chosen quite often, but you must make sure that high strength tempered glass is used.

Of the tools you will need:

  • screwdriver;
  • Grinder;
  • sandpaper;
  • a machine designed for high-quality milling;
  • drill and hacksaw;
  • tape measure with a pencil;
  • joiner's glue and varnish;
  • fasteners;
  • blanks intended for the formation of shelves and created from high-quality furniture board;
  • plywood used for the back wall and cover;
  • material for legs, and small wooden elements from oak.

Made from quality wood the design will last for many years, and will always delight you with its unusual appearance, and such models are also suitable for any interior.

MDF boards are ideal for a bookcase

Before the direct process of creating a structure, the preparatory stages are performed:

  • a specific model is selected, which will be created by hand;
  • the entire cabinet is broken down visually into separate constituent elements, after which a drawing is formed for each part;
  • to simplify the process of forming a drawing and a diagram, you can use modern and easy-to-use computer programs;
  • it is decided what dimensions the cabinet will have, and the main parameters are: width, height and distance between the shelves;
  • according to the drawings, sawing of parts that are the main elements to obtain a full-fledged and high-quality cabinet is carried out;
  • if chipboard is used, then it is advisable to order a cut from specialists, since if you do not use specialized equipment, then you get uneven cuts, chips and other disadvantages;
  • if it is necessary to make rectangular ends of the panels, then for this they are easily and quickly pasted over with veneer.

During the preparation of parts, it is necessary to constantly check with the existing drawings and diagrams, since there is a high probability of creating low-quality elements that cannot be used in the future.

End milling

This procedure does not differ in particular duration and complexity, but it will have to pay a lot of attention, since without this process, a not very attractive result may be obtained. For perfect work the rules are taken into account:

  • the cutters are correctly selected, designed to form a beautiful and optimal relief;
  • a departure with the necessary parameters is clearly and competently exposed;
  • high-quality and modern milling equipment is used.

The main features of milling include:

  • the router is securely fixed and prepared;
  • during the supply of the workpiece to it, it is not allowed for it to deviate or move to the sides, as this guarantees a poor work result;
  • when performing the process, it is necessary to ensure that all movements are smooth and careful;
  • before work, it is recommended to make sure that the equipment is working, for which milling is performed on a small unnecessary element;
  • processing of slats should be carried out only after setting the optimal size;
  • after work, the place where the workpiece touched the working part of the tool is checked;
  • if there are small irregularities, they are carefully cleaned sandpaper, since if you do not complete this process, then after coating the elements with varnish, irregularities will be clearly visible.

Thus, it is easy to perform milling if you follow the basic steps and rules, as well as use high-quality and modern equipment.

Back wall

In the photo of different bookcases, it is almost impossible to see the back wall, so it is usually well hidden. This makes it possible to use inexpensive and easy-to-process materials to create it. Usually a standard chipboard sheet is used for this.

Although the back wall cannot spoil the appearance of the cabinet, the reliability of the entire interior item depends on the correct fixation of it, since it acts as a connecting element.

For the formation of the back wall, a sheet of chipboard or plywood is most often used. These materials are considered easy to process, so it will not be difficult to cut out the necessary parts from them. Cutting can be done electrically or hand jigsaw, and also a special sawing machine is often used. Before cutting, it is necessary to apply a marking on the sheet so that a perfectly flat back wall is obtained, which has required sizes... The chamfer is removed with sandpaper.

If you want to get a fairly reliable back wall, it is recommended to use chipboard instead of plywood. This material has more weight, and it is also quite easy to attach. It can withstand different loads, so it is considered the ideal choice for a cabinet that will be loaded with a lot of heavy books.

Particleboard is most often used for the back wall of the bookcase.

Assembling the cabinet

How to make a bookcase with your own hands? After completing numerous preliminary works the direct assembly of this structure begins. This process is divided into successive stages:

  • initially, a place is chosen where the work will be performed, and it should be represented by a flat surface, since in the presence of distortions, various irregularities may appear in the final structure;
  • side walls are attached to the upper part, and a corner is used to check the evenness of the arrangement of the elements, and only after measurement is the fixation performed, and this approach will prevent unevenness at the joints;
  • holes are drilled for fasteners, for which a drill is used, and its diameter should be slightly less than the selected fastener;
  • parts are reliably and firmly pulled together with fasteners, and optimal choice for this process, a confirmat is considered to be twisted with a hexagon;
  • after fixing the upper structural element, fixing the lower part begins, and before that, you also need to pay a lot of attention to high-quality measurements with the help of a corner;
  • then the back wall is attached, for which a pre-cut sheet of plywood or chipboard is used, and for this you can use nails or even a construction stapler;
  • the fastening of the shelves begins, and a really significant load will affect them due to the use of a large number of books, so it is not advisable to make them removable;
  • it is advisable to fix the shelves with a confirmation, ensuring the reliability and durability of the elements;
  • doors are installed using hinges, if the created structure is formed with facades.

Thus, the bookcase can be done by hand. In this case, the ideas of future users are embodied, and it is ensured that truly interesting design. Optimal materials for this, wood or MDF is considered. During the process, a lot of attention is paid to creating a drawing, choosing quality material, correct measurements and secure fit.

Books are a source of knowledge, teachers of life, relationships and a culture of communication. And despite the fact that in modern world their great amount v in electronic format most of us continue to rejoice traditional method reading.

Over time, more and more various books, magazines accumulate in the house, and if you are tired of collecting printed materials scattered throughout the house, then a DIY bookcase can easily cope with this problem. After reading the instructions for assembling the cabinet, you will see that it is not at all difficult to equip the apartment yourself.

Bookcase in the interior - its types and advantages

Opening and Closing Models

All bookcase models can be divided into two types:

  • open;
  • closing.

Closing the view of the cabinet, in contrast to the open one, is more gentle for storing books, prevents the ingress of dust, moisture and light. Unprotected books absorb dust, deteriorate, and subsequently negatively affect the health of people in the room. Under the influence of direct sunlight, they turn yellow and lose their marketable condition... Of course, it is better to store books in closed cabinets, but this design creates a feeling of cumbersomeness, especially in small spaces.

Vertical or horizontal

In addition, bookcases are of different types:

  • horizontal;
  • vertical.

Before deciding on the choice, you need to pay attention to the size of the room, the availability of free space and the style of the interior.

Bookcases can also be rectangular, shelving, or corner.

Cabinet bookcase

Cabinet cabinets are the most popular piece of furniture for storing books, magazines or other miscellaneous items. Depending on your personal preferences, you yourself can choose the "stuffing" of the cabinet - the absence of any doors, only open shelves, or their presence, and the doors can be hinged, sliding or in the form of an accordion, glazed or deaf.

Modular bookcase

Modular designs allow combining elements to create cabinets different heights and configuration. The versatility of this type of bookcase is that, thanks to the model variations, it can be adjusted to almost any room, both large and small.

Built-in bookcase

This type of bookcase is usually a sliding door system. Its peculiarity is that all parts are attached directly to the ceiling, walls and floor. The design can be very diverse, but the most typical: side walls without a bottom and a cover, and the walls of the room act as boundaries.

Built-in bookcase - photos of illustrative examples.

Corner bookcase

If you have a small apartment and you have a huge number of books, magazines or other printed materials, then a corner bookcase is perfect. It will perfectly fit into any interior, besides corner structure contains a number of advantages: large capacity combined with compactness, optimal use of corner space, as well as easy access to books.

Bookcase materials

For the manufacture of furniture, a very large range of materials is used, which form the basic price of a bookcase. Exclusive models produced, as a rule, from the most expensive material - natural wood(cherry, oak, walnut, birch, etc.) in the form of solid wood or veneer.

More often, modern chipboard, MDF, etc. with a high-quality coating of laminate, polymers and melamine are used to create a bookcase. More expensive, at the same time more durable and environmentally friendly is MDF - a plate material that is produced by dry pressing of finely dispersed wood shavings under influence high temperature and pressure.

Doors are made of frosted or clear glass. Of course, high-quality, high-strength glass is not cheap, but it can even withstand impacts.

Tools and materials for making a bookcase

For work you will need:

  • screwdriver, drill, hacksaw;
  • milling machine;
  • grinding machine;
  • pencil, ruler, tape measure;
  • sandpaper;
  • washers, screws, nails, hammer;
  • wood glue, stain and varnish;
  • blanks for furniture board shelves;
  • plywood to be used for the back wall, uprights and support covers;
  • wood, for example, oak for the legs.

Preparatory stage for making a bookcase

Preparing cabinet parts

Well ... all the drawings are ready, now you can proceed to the direct manufacture of the cabinet, namely the preparation of its parts.

Sawing of parts can be ordered from specialists, as this stage is rather complicated. The whole problem is that a chipboard sawing machine is very expensive, and of course there is no point in buying it specifically for making one bookcase. Often at home, the machine is replaced with a jigsaw, but in that case, the quality of the cut suffers, as chips are obtained. Therefore, it would be wise to order chipboard sawing in the same place where you buy it.

To begin with, we will be producing a standard rectangular bookcase. open type from chipboard veneered with oak and from oak itself.

If you like the rectangular ends of the chipboard panels, then you can simply paste over them with veneer, otherwise you need to prepare oak slats, glue them to the ends of the panels so that you can round them in the future.

To prevent the workpiece from being pushed through when the clamp is clamped, plywood of the required thickness should be placed under it. When the parts are clamped, glue may come out of the seams, for this, immediately gently wipe it off with a rag, or let it dry and then simply remove it with a chisel. It is better to dock the rails at an angle of 45 degrees.

End milling

End milling is not a difficult and time-consuming process, although underestimating given view activity, like any other, the bottom line can be very disappointing. Correctly selected cutters for the relief, clearly set the desired overhang and I will successful collateral common work for milling. At the time of feeding the workpiece into the router, it is very important not to deflect it in different directions, and also to keep the movement smooth.

After milling, it is worth checking the area of contact of the working part with the workpiece. Having found the crotches between them, using a sandpaper, grain size 150, eliminate them, otherwise such drops will be very noticeable after opening with varnish.

The back of the cabinet

This is one of the most inconspicuous aspects of your wardrobe and requires the least attention in decoration and processing. But the reliability of the entire structure depends on its installation, in many cases, since the back wall serves as an additional connector for the entire cabinet.

Often the back wall is a sheet or pieces of plywood. Easy to process material will not take long to install. Taking advantage of electric jigsaw and a sawing machine, cut off the dimensions we need, and then remove the chamfer with a sandpaper.

A more reliable back wall is made with chipboard, which is much heavier in weight. This material is more demanding on the fastener itself and the method of fastening.

Assembling the cabinet

  1. Before assembling the cabinet, you need to find the most flat surface in order to prevent distortion.
  2. We attach the side walls to the top. Before fastening, it is worth using a special corner, which will help to avoid unevenness of the joint angle.
  3. We drill holes for fasteners with a drill, the diameter of which is smaller than the diameter of the connecting element.
  4. We tighten the parts together using fasteners. Very convenient and practical option is the confirmat. It comes with a hex wrench to make it easier for you to clamp.
  5. Having secured the upper part of the cabinet, we move on to the lower one, not forgetting about the corner with which the corner joint is regulated.
  6. Having connected these parts, do not rush to install the back wall, because the installation of shelves is still awaiting you. Agree that it is much more convenient to install shelves without a back wall. In a bookcase, the shelves lend themselves to a lot of stress, and it is not advisable to make them removable in such cases. It is best to attach the shelves with the same confirmation and preferably in 3-4 places of the side wall on one side. This will give not only reliability and durability to the shelves, but also to the entire cabinet.
  7. At the final stage, we install the back wall. In cases, stopping at Fiberboard material, the fastening element can be ordinary self-tapping screws, nails or a construction stick.

Surely, every book lover sooner or later faces the problem of keeping his home library. Of course, the easiest way out is to buy a ready-made cabinet, since today in furniture stores a wide range of models of bookcases is presented. You can also contact companies that manufacture custom-made bookcases. However, we suggest you not only save a decent amount of money, but also take part in a very exciting process - especially since this piece of furniture will be created by your own hands.

Below will be set out detailed instructions on assembling just such a bookcase, thanks to which you can easily and quickly assemble a "home" for your book collection.

Of course there are more complex structures bookcases, for example with doors and drawers. We will talk today about the classic version of the home library with open shelves that can be placed in any room.

The optimal depth for a home library is 400 mm. Bookcase dimensions: 2000 * 800 * 400 mm (height * width * depth). Many books or magazines fit comfortably at a given depth, so you shouldn't worry about its capacity.

Material:

in this article we will consider assembling a cabinet from chipboard material... The back wall will be made of fiberboard. This is very available materials, in addition, the market offers a wide range of colors: from woody to bright monochromatic decors.

What tool do you need during the assembly process?

For self assembly we need the following tool:

  • screwdriver with a bat for confirmations;
  • confirmation drill;
  • roulette;
  • pencil;
  • bit for self-tapping screws.

We also need fasteners:

  • confirmates
  • self-tapping screws
  • furniture corners
  • heel pads

The bookcase, the assembly of which is described in this article, turned out to be quite roomy thanks to a well-thought-out design in advance.

All the necessary details can be made, guided by the drawings, which will be attached at the end of this manual.

It is better to entrust sawing and facing the ends of parts with an edge to professionals and order all this at once in furniture shop... After all, it is quite difficult to do it at home. In principle, there is nothing complicated, but this only applies to the paper melamine edge. can also be glued at home. But we would still recommend that you do the pasting with a plastic edge on a professional machine.

The same is about the chipboard. It can, of course, be cut with a jigsaw. But be prepared for what appears on the details a large number of chips, which will greatly spoil the appearance of the cabinet.

This bookcase project uses white as the back wall. Fiberboard thickness 3 mm.

Unfortunately, we could not save a photo of the finished cabinet with the assembly, but we will provide you with the drawings, according to which you can make a bookcase with your own hands.

List of required parts

In order to make a bookcase, we need:

  1. Side upright 400 * 2000, chipboard 16 mm - 2 pcs.
  2. Shelves 400 * 768, chipboard 16 mm - 5 pcs.
  3. Top 400 * 800, chipboard 16 mm - 1 pc.
  4. Front vertical overlays 50 * 2000 Chipboard 16 mm - 2 pcs.
  5. Front horizontal plate (top) 100 * 700 chipboard 16 mm - 1 pc.
  6. Front horizontal overlay (bottom) 100 * 700 chipboard 16 mm - 1 pc.
  7. Drawer between shelves (for rigidity) 400 * 380 Chipboard 16 mm - 1 pc.
  8. Back wall 800 * 2000 Fiberboard 3 mm - 1 pc.

Build process

At the very beginning, we fasten the prepared side uprights together. To do this, you first need to drill holes for confirmations in the side parts.

Initially, we need to assemble the main frame of the bookcase, i.e. connect the main parts together. This is done with the help of confirmations. The process of drilling holes for confirms is described in more detail.

  1. Insert the confirmat into the resulting hole and screw the hardware with a screwdriver with a bit for confirmations. Repeat this procedure with the second side panel, and do the same with the lower shelf. That is, you need to assemble the bookcase into a single whole. As a result, you should have the main frame of the future cabinet. When assembling, it is very important to initially withstand all dimensions and joints so that all ends are connected flush.
  2. After our frame is assembled, it needs to be aligned diagonally. It is important that we have an even rectangle with the same diagonals.
  3. You can now attach the back wall. Take a few self-tapping screws, a screwdriver with a suitable bit and fasten the back wall to the ends of the sides, top and bottom shelf. Fasten the self-tapping screws in 10 cm increments.

  4. Next, you can proceed to fastening the shelves. In order to create additional rigidity of the structure, we recommend attaching the shelves to the side parts using confirmations.
  5. Of course, the side of the cabinet will suffer from this, but the hats of the hardware can be closed with special plugs in chipboard color... Starting from the top, mark 380 mm from the top of the side piece and make two parallel marks with a pencil.
  6. At the same time, step back from the edge by 2 cm. through holes using a drill, insert the confirmations into them and tighten with a screwdriver. Repeat this procedure for all internal shelves.
  7. A bookcase, the scheme of which assumes the presence of a drawer side between the second and third shelves, will have a little more rigidity than if these shelves were without it. Insert it between these shelves, and attach with self-tapping screws.

  8. The assembly of the bookcase continues. Now we are going to attach decorative overlays to the front of the cabinet. Let's start with the vertical ones. It is best to do this with furniture corners, fasten them with self-tapping screws to each shelf and top part from the inside.

  9. The design of the bookcase also assumes a horizontal top and bottom decorative overlays... Fasten them in the same way as vertical ones.

    Bottom pad attachment

That's all!

In fact, this is a very exciting and interesting process. Over time, you will be able to make other pieces of furniture for your interior. For example, make a large shelving for books or tools. The main thing is that at the same time you save almost 100% of the cost of materials.

Bookcase drawing

Books are a source of knowledge and inspiration, a teacher of the life and culture of society. Despite the fact that today many have switched to electronic options, paper is still in price. There are people who buy, read, store, exchange, give. This is exactly what you need to have a stylish bookcase in your apartment, where you can store all the most valuable and informative copies.

If the apartment has a study, then such furniture will find its use in it - it is good to use it for storing documents, paper for a printer, folders, etc. Modern furniture salons offer a wide variety of bookcases, but are they able to compare with what is done with their own hands, where the soul, imagination and strength are invested.

Varieties

Divide cabinets into open and closed. The latter are more comfortable
although they take up a lot of space. There are also subspecies:

  1. Vertical and horizontal option.
  2. Corpus.
  3. Modular.
  4. Built in.
  5. Angular.

It should be noted that the corner view is great for a small room or study, as it can store many books, magazines and other printed materials. It allows for easy access to books, does not take up much space and can be stylishly combined with other furniture.

What material is better to use

You can make a bookcase from any material, but, of course, the most win-win option is wood, which is always in price, lasts a long time and does not lose its original characteristics. However, it is quite expensive to make furniture from natural wood, so not everyone can afford it.

So, MDF or chipboard is suitable as a replacement. They are durable and environmentally friendly materials that are comfortable to work with and that do not deteriorate over the years. You can also make your own bookcase from other materials at hand. But it is important that they are durable and reliable.

Tools for the job

A bookcase with your own hands is difficult, but you can learn if you want. It is advisable to first watch several video tutorials and read special literature, so that the product turns out to be of high quality, durable and functional. First of all, you need to prepare the following tools:

  • screwdriver;
  • hacksaw;
  • grinder;
  • milling device;
  • hammer;
  • roulette;
  • pencil;
  • nails and screws;
  • joiner's glue and varnish;
  • blanks for construction.

You should start with the following stages:

  1. Think over exactly where the furniture will be located and what size it is planned to be. It is important to remember that the cabinet should not be bulky, but at the same time it should be made roomy.
  2. Draw up all the necessary drawings, which schematically show the details of the product, their dimensions and the amount of materials.
  3. Decide on the color of the furniture. If the room is small, then it is advisable to give preference to light shades, if it is spacious, any color will do. The main thing is that it blends harmoniously with other furniture.

Concerning optimal sizes, then it is suitable if the cabinet has a depth of 20-30 cm, the thickness of the shelves is 2-3 cm, the length is at least 1 m.The height of the furniture itself can be 150-170 cm, and the width is 130-140 cm.

More about further work

To build a bookcase with your own hands, you must first make blanks from the selected material in the sizes that you prefer. You can cut them with a jigsaw or other tool, and then you need to perform milling. The last procedure is complicated, so it is advisable to entrust it to professionals. Only when all the kit is assembled can you start assembly.

Its stages are as follows:

  1. First you need to find the most flat surface in order to prevent skewing.
  2. After that, you can start attaching the side walls to the top. Before fastening, it is necessary to correct all the irregularities in the joints with a special corner.
  3. Next, holes are drilled for fasteners with a drill, the diameter of which is smaller than the diameter of the connecting element.
  4. Then the parts are pulled together with fasteners. Confirmation is very convenient and practical. It comes with a hex wrench, with which it is more convenient to make a clamp.
  5. After securing the top, you can go to the bottom.
  6. In a bookcase, the shelves are designed for heavy loads, so there is no need to make them removable. It is better to attach the shelves with the same confirmation.
  7. At the end, the back wall is installed. Fasteners can be ordinary screws or nails.

When the structure is ready, it's time to start finishing. Ready-made bookcase with your own hands just right to paint in the desired color, paint with original images or just varnish. Here the choice depends solely on the preferences of the owner. If you would like to have a unique stylish model, you can make it with glass doors. Frosted glasses will look especially beautiful. The main thing is to firmly fix all the structural elements so that it will serve for a long time and regularly.

A bookcase is characterized by two main qualities:

  1. significant weight of books
  2. shallow depth and a large number of shelves.

These qualities determine the main compositional and design features bookcase.

Bookcase design

Like any other sliding wardrobe, a bookcase can be made using our online constructor. But before proceeding with the design, it is necessary at least approximately to take an inventory of the book fund to determine the main parameters of the shelves. To create a bookcase, you need to know the number of books for each of the typical sizes (most books are of standard sizes)

This inventory of books by size will allow you to determine the number and size of the shelves. In this case, the area and volume of the cabinet will be used in the most rational way. This geometric layout of books is good for small libraries. If a collection of books requires alphabetical or thematic placement, then the shelves will have to be made the same, focusing on large-format books. This method is more logical for organizing books, but irrational for organizing space.

With any decision, you need to keep in mind that the smallest books are best placed at eye level, and the most popular editions should also be stored there. Large shelves, from which it is inconvenient to take books, are best placed in the upper and lower zones of the bookcase.

Bookcase construction

Even at the design stage, it is necessary to provide for very frequent vertical walls of the bookcase. For shelves made of laminated chipboard or MDF with a width of 150 - 200 mm, the length of the shelf should not exceed 350 - 400 mm, then their deflection under the weight of the books will be invisible.

To avoid such a picket fence of vertical walls - shelf supports can be made from regular board 35 - 45 mm thick. Such a board with a width of 150 - 200 mm can have a free length twice as much - up to 800 - 900 mm, so that the deflection from the weight of the books does not appear. Such boards can be ordered from the carpentry workshop according to the designer's drawings - no other parameters bookshelves this will not change, except for the gap between the shelves, which will decrease from the transition from MDF to thicker boards. Boards can be laid on the same supporting elements as conventional shelves, but it is better to tie the entire structure together with overhead corners on top and bottom.

You can connect the resulting shelf from shelves and walls - racks using a back wall made of laminated fiberboard.

After assembling the entire stack, it is pushed into the design place and fixed to the walls against overturning. After such an attachment, you can mount the sliding doors, and after them, you can put the books in place.
