The balancing valve is what it is for. Why do you need a balancing valve and what is the difference from a tap and a valve

Any heating system needs timely and high-quality adjustment; these manipulations can be carried out in a variety of ways.

Only if all the parameters in individual sections of the network are as close as possible to the calculated data, it will be possible to achieve high efficiency work.

That is why a universal is used for high-quality adjustment balancing valve for the heating system.

An accurate superstructure of all data is required to maximize effective work

a brief description of

Every heating system needs professional hydraulic adjustment. The main task of this adjustment is to adjust the fuel consumption to the initial design indicator, so that to each installed battery the required amount of heat was supplied. The system setup itself displays the final water consumption for a specific area, which was previously calculated.

It must be remembered that any water system requires an initial setup.

Traditional schemes imply the provision of optimal flow rates with a special pipe diameter. If the heating system has more complex configurations, then the adjustment is carried out with universal washers.

Each of them has a certain diameter of the passage, due to which the required volume of water is supplied.

Of course, such tuning methods do not apply to innovative technologies since in modern world it is customary to use an automatic balancing valve for the heating system. To this mechanism, it is customary to add two nozzles that constantly test the pressure in different zones in relation to the main control device.

Such parts are also used to install a specific capillary tube. Experts say that modern fittings interact perfectly with various controls.

In this video, you will learn how the balancing valve works:

Features and Benefits

Those who have already worked with control valves note that their characteristics are almost similar to other elements of the pipeline. For the manufacture of such parts, brass and bronze are used, but galvanized products can also be found. An interesting fact it is believed that more than 90% of the entire assortment in the world market is occupied by brass valves. This trend has arisen due to their reliability and durability.

Reliability and durability are the main factors when choosing a valve

Among the many positive characteristics balancing valves for heating systems, the following can be noted:

  1. Affordable price.
  2. The work that is associated with the planned configuration of the system is greatly simplified.
  3. High degree of reliability.
  4. The master has an excellent opportunity to conduct fine tuning temperature and pressure level.
  5. Long service life.

There are practically no negative characteristics of such products. In addition, there is simply no alternative to balancing valves in domestic applications.

Varieties of valves and their design features

Today there are two types of control valves, each of which has its own performance characteristics... Before buying this or that model, you need to carefully study their basic description. Most often, all specialists install the following balancing valves:

  1. Universal unit with automatic control system. A feature of such products is that they completely control the heating system without human intervention. The functionality of the valve allows you to maintain a constant pressure difference between the return and supply to two-pipe system... Concerning one-pipe heating, the device controls the continuous flow of the heating agent. There are multifunctional models on sale that work great in tandem with each other. The use of such units leads to the fact that the flow rate and the pressure difference in the pipeline change. It should be noted that the well-coordinated operation of such valves is due to a special impulse tube. Inner part an automatic device is more like a piston pressure reducer. But do not confuse them, because they perform completely different functions.
  2. Manual valve. This device occupies a leading position in demand due to its affordable price and durability.

Any quality part should include o-rings, for example

But among the main design features, experts note several nuances. The thing is that a quality part must necessarily consist of the following elements:

  1. Universal adjusting spindle. The main working part is presented in the form of a cone screwed into a special saddle. At the moment of activation of the spindle, the coolant flow is completely shut off.
  2. A cap that can be made from various materials, but most often made of plastic. It is worth noting that metal products are considered the highest quality and most durable.
  3. A robust brass body that is equipped with all the necessary threaded connections to allow the user to connect the pipes. In the inner compartment of the device there is a special saddle in the form of a small vertical channel.
  4. O-rings made of high quality rubber.

But main feature such a valve is that it is equipped with two unions at once.

These units perform the following functions:

  1. They control the pressure level inside the system both before and after the valve.
  2. Provides a secure fixation of the capillary tube.

Each nozzle necessarily measures the pressure level, and if during operation sudden drops in values were detected on the regulating mechanism, then the water flow rate is calculated.

Three-way valve for heating systems:

Principle of operation according to the standard scheme

Novice craftsmen are often interested in why a balancing valve is needed in a heating system. But before he meets functionality this unit, it is necessary to study the principle of setting up the system... It is enough for the master to imagine a dead-end branch with several standard batteries, which act as a kind of source of energy consumption. A certain volume of heated coolant is supplied to them.

It is worth noting that the design temperature is selected based on the fact that it is enough to heat a certain room.

The exact figure of the costs will be known only after the master has carried out all the necessary calculations.

Difficulties arise when special thermostatic ventilation valves are not installed on the radiators. The point is that any hydraulic adjustments will be made using a manual balancing valve. Fix this part on the return pipeline. When all necessary calculations produced, then the vent is set at a certain number of revolutions. As practice shows, in the regulated branch there is always constant flow.

During installation, it will save on radiators

Despite this, many owners of private houses are wondering how to properly adjust the valve when the flow rate changes periodically. Initially, it should be noted that this situation is observed when conventional radiators are equipped with universal thermostatic regulators responsible for heating the room. Such details can create an additional obstruction in the path of the water, which will affect the flow rate. In this case, the flow rates will change significantly in the return pipeline.

Timely installation of balancing devices will allow you to achieve the effect when you do not need to install too many radiators (mostly 5 pieces are enough). If the master decides to limit the thermostat control limits, then he will be able to quickly set up the heating scheme.

Of course, there can be more than five radiators, but they will surely go haywire. If you turn off the flow of the coolant of the thermostat of the first radiator, then the master will be faced with an increase in the flow on the second battery. The valve will definitely close, and the flow will go to the next unit. It is this operating principle that will be considered relevant for all heat consumers. If the master does not take urgent measures, then some radiators will overheat, while others, on the contrary, will not have enough coolant.

Professional installation

Installation and adjustment of the balancing valve is not considered difficult as every man can handle these tasks... The main difficulty can arise only with the fact that it will be difficult for the master to achieve a certain position of the unit. The arrow on the body must be in the direction of water movement. Only in this case can the optimal design resistance and the correct flow rate be obtained. Some modern manufacturers allow valve installation both in the direction and against the main flow. Depending on the model chosen, the stem may have a different position.

A quality valve should provide for the need reliable protection the working bodies of the fittings: the ingress of various mechanical impurities is unacceptable. For this, a special mud collector or filter is mounted in front of the device. To avoid turbulent water flow, it is necessary to provide for straight pipe sections of sufficient length both in front of the valve and after it.

It is worth noting that it is this requirement that is included in the accompanying documentation of reliable manufacturers.

Balancing the network

Most often, those masters who are professionally engaged in the installation of heating systems, determine the flow rate of the coolant on the batteries very in a simple way : take the total number of revolutions of the balancing valve and divide by the number of heating devices used. Such simple actions help to find out optimal step adjustments. Gradually moving from the last radiator to the first, the taps are carefully closed with the resulting difference in rpm.

In addition to the main method of adjustment, there is an additional, possibly more accurate

Of course, this method is approximate, since it does not provide for the option that the batteries can be of different capacities. That is why it is better to use it for presetting, which allows for the introduction of certain amendments during active operation.

A completely different method deserves special attention, which is based on measuring the real temperature of the surface of the batteries. The balancing valve can be correctly adjusted as follows:

  1. Initially, you need to gradually open absolutely all valves and put the system into operation with a flow temperature of + 80˚С.
  2. Use a contact thermometer to measure the temperature of each heater.
  3. All the difference in the data must be eliminated by turning the taps of the middle and first batteries. It is forbidden to touch the latter. The near radiator should be slightly opened by 1.5 valve turns, but the middle ones by 2.5.
  4. The system needs to be given a little time to adapt to completely new operating conditions. After 30 minutes, it is necessary to take measurements again. The main task of the master is to achieve the minimum temperature difference between the batteries nearest and farthest to the boiler.

Separately, it is worth considering that the weather conditions and the temperature outside the window do not affect the performance at all, only the difference in the heating of the radiators is important.

Disassembly of ASV series automatic balancing valves:

Experienced installers of heating systems note that any adjustment work should be carried out on the basis of calculated data, which are especially important when drawing up project documentation. To avoid errors, you need to use a special valve diagram and measurements taken in advance. The adjustment process begins only when the handle rotates and the spindle moves. If the master does not have everyone at hand required measurements, then the adjustment process itself will be considered conditional. In this case, efficiency and accuracy are out of the question.

As for straight pipe sections that prevent water turbulence, their length should be at least 10 cm. important role in filling the circuit with the inlet valve closed.

The larger the heating system, the more difficult it is to ensure an even distribution of heat to all rooms without exception, no matter how far from its source they are. To temperature regime was uniform, mechanisms for adjustment are built into the heating network in different areas heat flow... The most common and effective of these is the balancing valve in the heating system.

    Show all

    general characteristics

The methods by which the heat flow is regulated are of several types. The first one uses pipes different diameters regulating the volume of the coolant passing through the radiators. Another is based on the use of special washers that adjust the passage of the required amount of heated water in this area.

A detailed description of these methods is not of interest, since they are already deprecated and not used. A modern mechanism for regulating the supply of the coolant is the installation for heating balancing valve consisting of:

    • robust brass body, equipped with branch pipes for connecting pipes, with a saddle located inside in the form of a special vertical channel;
    • a spindle in the form of a cone screwed into the seat body to regulate the flow of the heating medium;
    • rubber sealing rings;
    • plastic (less often - a metal cap).

The main part of the fixture is two special fittings responsible for:

    • determination of intrasystem pressure on both sides of the valve;
    • capillary tube connection.

Each of the nozzles has a pressure meter, and with a difference in values, it is necessary to calculate the rational amount of water flow.

    Operating principle

The principle of operation of the balancing valve in the heating system consists in adjusting the cross-section of the passage opening for the coolant inside the pipeline. With the help of the working elements of the valve, you can adjust the heating system at any time, without stopping its operation, to achieve a comfortable thermal conditions in heated rooms with minimal energy consumption.

Rotation of the adjusting knob causes the spindle to move down or up, respectively, opening or closing the passage hole in the pipe or reducing its cross section. Reducing the cross-section of the throughput creates an obstacle in the path of water movement, artificially increasing the flow rate. As a result, water enters the remote circuits faster and with less heat loss. This ensures uniform heating of all rooms.

With constant changes in operating pressure, it is important to ensure reliable tightness of the connections inside the valve. For the product of the spindle sealing rings, use:

    • fluoroplastic;
    • dense rubber;
    • metal.

    Valve types

The valves are of two types: manual and automatic. Each of them has its own advantages. The manual balancing valve is more suitable for small heating pipelines with stable pressure, usually installed in individual residential buildings and apartments. Here balancing valves are installed on each radiator.

except individual customization each battery, if necessary such a configuration provides repairs individual elements systems without turning it off completely. Another advantage of a manual valve over an automatic valve is that it is more low cost.

    Automatic faucet

Automatic devices for adjusting the flow of the coolant are much more expensive than manual valves. They are installed on the risers of heating systems. apartment buildings, administrative buildings or industrial premises.

The operating principle of a slam-shut valve is not the same as that of a mechanical valve. With manual adjustment, the amount of coolant passing through the pipe per unit of time depends on the flow area, which is set using the valve.

And in automatic system the valve is permanently set to the maximum water flow; the pressure and amount of the coolant supplied to the pipeline is regulated by thermostats and capillary tubes installed on the radiators.

    Balancing valve installation

Each balancing valve has an arrow on the body, which indicates in which direction the liquid inside the body should move to minimize turbulence, which affects the correct settings. The arrow serves as a guide when installing the mechanism on the pipeline.

The device is installed on straight pipe sections so that the length of the flat part of the pipe in front of the valve is at least five of its diameters and at least two at the outlet. You need to mount it in the reverse branch of the system; for this you only need a plumbing adjustable wrench.

During installation work you need to consistently follow several rules... First, a mandatory check is carried out, followed by flushing and cleaning the pipeline from the possible presence of metal shavings or other foreign objects in it.

If the device has a removable head, it must be removed before installation, following the instructions. This makes it easier to install the valve. Then one end of the tap is screwed onto the pipe. The other end is connected through a sleeve to the radiator. To seal the thread, it is necessary to use flax fiber threads impregnated with a special lubricant.

Manual balancing valves - master class

    Setting methods

After installing the balancing valve in heating system it must be set to power saving mode. For this, each valve is supplied with instructions for calculating the optimal number of handle turns. The valve can be adjusted in two ways.

Professionals use a simple and time-tested method. By dividing the number of valve revolutions by the number of radiators, they determine the correction step for each valve. So, if the number of spindle revolutions is 4.5, and the number of radiators is 10, then the step is determined at 0.45 revolutions. The system will be optimally adjusted if each valve, starting from the last radiator, is opened by plus 0.45 turns.

For a faster and more accurate second method, it is necessary to use a contact-type thermometer. To adjust, you will need to heat the system to 80 degrees with all valves open and measure the temperature of each radiator separately. Temperature inconsistencies are eliminated by screwing on the first and middle taps. Usually 1.5 turns are enough for the first valve, and 2.5 turns for the middle ones. After letting the system adapt, take control measurements in half an hour.

The use of both methods eliminates temperature differentiation when heating radiators and promotes uniform heating of all rooms with a minimum consumption of thermal energy.

The installation of balancing valves in the heating system ensures uniform heating of all rooms without exception and an economical consumption of energy resources. This is especially necessary for large heating systems. This device best helps to distribute the coolant along its circuits. But the technology of installation work should be considered even when designing a heating system, since the quality of the valve depends on its correct installation and adjustment.

Content

For the efficient functioning of the heating system, the real parameters of its operation must be close to the calculated values. It is important to ensure a competent distribution of coolant flows along the circuits, stable pressure and temperature conditions. This range of tasks can be solved by a special device - a balancing valve for the heating system.

Balancing valves used for heating systems

Purpose of the device

All branches of the heating system must receive the estimated amount of heat carrier. Earlier simple systems were regulated by using pipes of various diameters. In complex ones, special washers were installed, by shifting which it was possible to change the cross-section of the pipeline. Today, a special valve is used, which functions according to the valve principle.

The balancing valve is equipped with two unions, thanks to which:

  • the pressure of the coolant flow is measured before and after passing through the valve;
  • a capillary tube is connected to allow adjustment.

Based on the readings of the device, it is possible to determine the pressure drop when water passes through the regulator, and calculate, according to the instructions, how many turns of the handle are required to optimize the operation of the heating system.

Note! Balancing valves with digital displays are offered by a number of manufacturers, but such devices are more expensive.

Sectional balancing valve

Principle of operation

Consider why balancing the heating system is necessary and how it happens. If several heating radiators are connected to a dead-end pipe branch and are not equipped with thermostats, the heating medium flow for each heating device will be constant. In order for each of the devices to receive the required amount of heated water, a manual regulator is installed on the return line, at the point where the pipe is connected to the common line. Its valve is set at a certain number of revolutions in order to decrease or increase the diameter of the bore.

But this option is not suitable for a system with a constantly changing coolant flow. In this case, a balancing valve is required, the principle of operation of which allows to reduce the volume of heated water supply by creating an obstacle in the flow path.

The manual balancer is designed to stabilize the heating medium flow for 4-5 heating devices. If there are more radiators in the system, their heating will be uneven.

By setting the balancing valve for the heating system to the maximum flow, we get the following situation: the thermostat, which is responsible for regulating any of the radiators, will reduce the consumption of the heated coolant, as a result of which the pressure in the system will begin to gradually increase.

The balancing valve will receive a signal of increasing pressure (for this the capillary tube is used) and will operate, correcting the fluid flow. Due to the fact that the thermostats on the remaining radiators do not have time to shut off the coolant supply, the pressure in the system and the coolant consumption will be balanced.

Design

Control valves vary in design. In the classic version, the device is equipped with a straight stem and a flat spool, adjustment is made by changing the flow area between the spool and the seat. The translational movement of the spool is provided by rotating the handle.

Balancers are also available with a rod located at an angle relative to the coolant flow, the spool can be tapered, radial or cylindrical and driven by a servo drive.

Balancing valve design

Types of devices

The balancing valve for the heating system, the principle of operation of which depends on the design features, can be mechanical (manual) and automatic.

Mechanical balancer

A manual balancing valve is installed in place of classic shims and similar devices. The mechanical regulator is designed to operate in a system with constant pressure of the transported medium. With the help of a mechanical valve, you can not only ensure the required cross-section of the pipeline, but also disconnect a separate heating device from the network, drain the coolant from it through a special tap. The manual valve has a low cost and can be equipped with devices for measuring the pressure in the system on both sides of the regulator and the actual flow rate of the transported medium.

Mechanical balancing valve

Automatic balancer

Automatic balancing valve - a device that allows you to quickly change the operating parameters of an autonomous heating network in accordance with the pressure drops and consumption of the heated heat carrier. For each pipeline, automatic balancers are installed in pairs.

The balancer and the shut-off valve on the supply pipeline puts a restriction on the flow rate of the heating medium in accordance with the design requirements. A valve is installed on the return line that prevents sharp drops pressure. This approach makes it possible to divide the heating system into separate sections that can function independently of each other. Equalization of pressure and regulation of the coolant supply are carried out in automatic mode.

Automatic balancing valve

Application options

The balancing valve is also activated:

  • In a small circulation circuit of a solid fuel heating boiler, closed to a heat accumulator. The regulator makes it possible to do without installing a mixing unit to maintain the temperature of the coolant in the circuit at a level not lower than 60 degrees. The balancing valve on the supply pipe is responsible for ensuring that the heating medium flow in the boiler circuit is higher than in the heating circuit.
  • To regulate the boiler operation indirect heating... The balancer regulates the supply of the heated heat carrier directly from the boiler to the coil installed in the tank with water for hot water supply.

Working Application balancing valve

Installation and operation

The balancing valve is installed according to the manufacturer's requirements. If there is an arrow on the body, the device is mounted in such a way that the direction of the arrow coincides with the direction of flow of the transported medium so that the valve can create a design resistance. Some manufacturers produce balancing valves that can be installed in any direction. The spatial arrangement of the stem in most cases is not critical.

To prevent the valve from failing due to mechanical damage, a branded filter or a standard mud collector is installed in front of it. To eliminate unwanted turbulence, valves are recommended to be installed on straight pipeline sections, the minimum length of which is indicated in the manufacturer's instructions.

If the heating system is equipped with automatic valves, it should be filled through special filling fittings installed next to the valves on the return pipe, while the balancing valves on the supply pipe are closed.

Adjustment of the balancing valve is carried out using a table with indicators of differential pressure and flow rate of the heating medium (supplied with the device) or using a flow meter for balancing. But the initial calculation of the flow and operational parameters must be carried out at the design stage of the heating system.

Assembled structure balancing valve

In order for each balancing valve in the heating system to function properly, it is advisable to give preference to products from reputable manufacturers. These include regulators produced under the Danfoss trademark (Denmark), the Venturi series from BROEN BALLOREX (Poland).

Conclusion

It is recommended to use balance taps on all branches of the heating system, including underfloor heating circuits, as well as in DHW system... This will optimize their work and save energy. At the same time, it is important to choose high-quality devices, correctly mount them and configure them correctly.

Any heating system requires adjustment, carried out in one way or another. This is necessary in order to bring the parameters at each section of the network as close as possible to the calculated ones and thereby achieve high efficiency of its operation. There are several controls, but the most modern of them is the balancing valve for the heating system. The purpose of this article is to explain the purpose of this element and how to use it in private housing construction.

What is a balancing valve for?

As already mentioned, any heating circuit needs hydraulic adjustment - balancing. The purpose of such an operation is to bring the flow rate of the coolant in each branch of the circuit to the calculated value, so that together with it, it is delivered to each radiator required amount heat. Speaking about setting up the system, we mean by default that the flow rate of the heating agent for each section is pre-calculated.

In the most simple schemes the required flow is ensured by correctly selected pipe diameters. In more complex systems, the adjustment was carried out with special washers with a passage size that ensures flow the right amount water. But the listed methods are considered obsolete, now more than modern way- installation of balancing valves in the heating system.
By its design, the device is a conventional manual valve, with the help of which the quantitative regulation of the coolant is carried out. Only in addition to the flow shut-off mechanism, 2 nipples are built into the body. They serve to:

  • measuring the pressure value before and after the regulating mechanism;
  • connection of the capillary tube and its interaction with other control elements.

By measuring the pressure in each of the nozzles, the value of its differential across the regulator is determined, and then proceeding from this, the flow rate of the liquid in the section is calculated. In the instructions supplied with the valve, there is a graph with which you can calculate the number of turns of the handle to ensure a certain flow of water.

Products from some well-known manufacturers, such as Danfoss balancing valves, can be measured with instruments from the same brand, which immediately shows the amount of heating medium flowing. This greatly simplifies the process, you do not need to do any calculations, although additional funds will have to be spent on such equipment.

By their purpose, the devices are divided into manual valves and automatic regulators. In the second case, the set of the device includes 2 devices: the balancing valve itself and the differential pressure regulator connected to it by a capillary tube.

How the balancing valve works

To understand how this device works, we will briefly analyze the principle of balancing heating systems. Imagine a dead-end branch of a system with several radiators - consumers of thermal energy. Through the pipe, they should be supplied with such an amount of the coolant heated to the design temperature so that it is enough for all heated rooms. We know this expense from the calculation.

When the batteries are not equipped with thermostatic valves and the heating medium flow for each of them is constant, then a manual balancing valve is used for hydraulic adjustment. It is installed on the return pipeline at the point where it is inserted into the common line. How this is done correctly is shown in the diagram:

Then measurements are taken, as described in the previous section, and the valve is set to the required number of revolutions. Thus, the required constant flow rate of the coolant in the regulated branch is ensured. But what to do when the flow rate is constantly changing? This situation is possible when the batteries are equipped with thermostatic regulators that control the intensity of heating the room. They create an obstacle in the path of the liquid, reducing its flow. Then the flow rate in the common return pipeline will change all the time.

Installing a manual balancing valve that provides a fixed amount of coolant will have an effect when the number of radiators is small (up to 5 pieces). By limiting the control limits of the thermostats, the circuit can still be customized. If there are more than 5 batteries, then they will be sold out. Blocking the water flow by the thermostat of the first radiator will increase it on the second. The valve on it will also close, the flow will go to the third, and so on. As a result of such work, some batteries will overheat, others will not heat up, in a word, a complete imbalance of the entire branch.

On branches or risers with a large number of heating devices, automatic balancing valves must be installed for the system to work smoothly. How this should be done is shown in the diagrams:

The principle of operation is as follows. The balance valve is being adjusted to the maximum design heat carrier flow. During operation, when the thermostat of any radiator will reduce consumption hot water, then the pressure on the site will begin to rise.

The automatic differential pressure regulator "recognizes" this by means of the capillary tube. It will quickly adjust the flow rate of the coolant, and then the other thermostats will not have time to operate to overlap, the system will remain hydraulically balanced.

How else is the balancing valve used?

In addition to regulating individual branches and risers in the heating system, the device is used for other purposes. For example, a balance valve is installed in a small circulation loop solid fuel boiler when it is closed on buffer tank... The point is to maintain the water temperature in the circuit at least 60 ºС and not set for this mixing unit... But in this case, the flow rate in the boiler circuit must be higher than in the heating circuit. This is what the valve installed on the supply is doing.

Another installation option - a balancing valve regulates the supply of coolant to the coil of an indirect heating boiler. The latter, as a rule, is connected directly from the boiler unit, so it will be correct to limit the amount of coolant for heating the boiler. I must say that, ideally, it is better to equip all branches of the system with balance taps, including the underfloor heating and hot water circuits. Such measures improve the quality of heating functioning and unambiguously lead to energy savings.

Conclusion

The balancing valve is very useful and required device... Only it is necessary to introduce it into the scheme wisely. For example, it makes no sense to install such a valve on active branches tuned with washers. Reconstruction is another matter, when new ones are added to the branches. heating devices, or if new construction is underway. Here, for setting, it is worth using balance devices.

Most modern users perceive the heating system as a set of pipes and radiators, complemented by a heating boiler and. But such an opinion is erroneous. It also contains a number of auxiliary components, without which the heating operation, to put it mildly, would not be of very high quality. One of these elements is a balancing valve or valve.

Appointment

The balancing valve in the heating system is used to properly distribute the heat transfer. That is, there are cases that in one room the batteries are hotter than required, and in the other they are much colder than we would like. That is, an incorrect distribution of the coolant occurs. This means that adjustment is required to correct this situation.

The balancing valve is a type shut-off valves, by means of which the hydraulic resistance is regulated. This is achieved by changing the diameter of the pipe section in a certain area.

Recently, in the design of heating (both for an apartment building and for a private house). However, what should the owners of ready-made heating systems do?

There are several "symptoms" that indicate the need to install valves of this type:

  • Lack of comfortable temperature even at maximum load.
  • Significant fluctuations in room temperature with constant equal load in the heating system.
  • Difficulty starting the system - the inability to reach the rated power.

All this indicates that it is necessary to install a balancing valve and carry out regulation. It will allow you to adjust the flow of the amount of coolant to a particular section of the system.

Benefits of using

Installing a balancing valve will help solve the above problems in heating operation.

In addition, the following advantages of using this equipment can be highlighted:

  • Reducing costs - that is, owners of private houses note that after balancing the system, the amount of fuel consumed decreases.
  • Increased room comfort - you can achieve a temperature level that is more suitable for each individual room.
  • No start-up complications - the use of balancing valves will make it as easy as possible to start the system.

The element is mounted using special fittings and adapters. In this case, you should be careful: some taps can be installed on pipes with a certain direction of movement of the coolant.

On such taps, there is a special arrow that shows in which direction the water in the pipe should move. If you install a valve without following this instruction, an attempt to regulate the system with its help can lead to damage to the element itself and malfunction of the entire heating system.

If you find it difficult to install the balancing valve yourself, then you can order this service from professional installers... Write in the form on the right on our website - and the consultant will guide you on prices for services, answer additional questions.

Regulation

After installing the valve, by means of special equipment, measurements are taken to determine exactly what level adjustment is required. Individual specialists are called this way quite time consuming.

Important: before carrying out the balancing procedure, you should start the heating system, connect the necessary measuring equipment - this will make it possible to determine the quality of work.

More accurate balancing results can be obtained by dividing the heating system into separate segments, and adding balancing fittings to each of them. In this case, the balancing procedure itself will take considerable time - it will be necessary to regulate each individual valve. But the results will be much better.
