How to correctly insert a mosquito net into a plastic window. Do-it-yourself installation of a mosquito net on plastic windows

If a situation arises that you have purchased a ready-made mosquito net, but do not know how to install it, this instruction will help you cope with this problem.

Self-assembly on plastic windows

In the event that you already have a mosquito net along with mounts (z-shaped), then you should complete the following list of tasks.

Installation sequence using metal fasteners:

As you can see from the instructions above, it is not that difficult. Note, however, that this instruction is effective for a certain type of construct.

Fastening with plastic corners

The next most popular option for attaching anti-mosquitoes to windows or balconies is fastening with plastic corners. This method of attachment cannot be attributed to the optimal, however, in spite of everything, it will look great exactly on, because it is quite common in the list of services of various companies.

This method differs from fastening with metal fasteners in that the fastener itself is installed on the window frame, and not on the mesh frame.

So, let's move on to the installation instructions:

Installation of a mosquito net on the door

They are divided into two categories: they are both freely hanging and in a special
frame housing. Self-installation such designs are quite troublesome. This is due to the fact that their delivery is carried out in complete set for installation intended for professionals.

If we consider door nets with a frame, then they are fastened with hinges in the likeness ordinary doors... When it comes to freely hanging species, then they are fixed around the entire perimeter, and connected with a magnetic fastener in the center.

Installing the sliding option

Fundamental differences in installation on aluminum window differs little from those options that were considered above. Like the door of the wardrobe, the sash is installed as follows:

  • Directly the mesh (sash) is wound up behind the upper guide.
  • In the maximum upper position, the lower end is wound behind the lower guide.
  • Then they are lowered.

Now you know how mosquito nets are attached to plastic windows.

Install mosquito nets in calm weather.

For installation (mounting of fasteners) mosquito net You will need: tape measure, pencil, screwdriver or screwdriver, a set of fasteners and screws.

For your safety, it is advisable to involve an assistant so that he holds the mosquito net when you measure and fasten the fasteners and use open next adjacent flap, if any.

Mosquito net fasteners are screwed with self-tapping screws on the street side of the window 2 pcs. top and 2 pcs. from below.

Recommendations: annually, before installing mosquito nets, visually inspect the mounts (corners) for yellowing. You should also try to shake each of the brackets by hand. If you hear a characteristic crackling sound or feel significant deformation, the mounts should be replaced. V otherwise the mosquito net can simply fly away.

Important!!! if a metal grill is installed on the window, then the installation of the mosquito net is possible only with the disassembly of the mosquito net and subsequent collection already at the installation site (outside the window).

There are several ways to install mosquito net mounts (depending on the free width of the protruding profile of the street side of the frame).

The standard way.

Open the window sash where the mosquito net will be installed. On the outside of the window, install the mosquito net fasteners using self-tapping screws, as shown in the figure.

Important!!! The length of the self-tapping screws or screws should be less than 30 mm, since the longer ones can rest against the reinforcement passing through the PVC window.

The top and bottom mounts are different. Longer mounts are placed up.

To the bottom of the window profile from the outside we attach 2 lower fasteners for the mosquito net profile (they are smaller in size than the upper ones) and either mark with a pencil the points for drilling for fasteners and drill, or immediately tighten the screws with a drill, we take the size of the screw 3.9x16 or 3.9x19 mm.

For ease of operation, the fasteners can be glued to the profile on Double-sided tape, just don't forget about the self-tapping screws!

Holding the mosquito net outside the frame, we apply it to outside windows, put on the lower mounts and check the dimensions. At the top of the window profile, we install the upper brackets, it is most convenient to attach them first to double-sided tape, then tighten the screws with free hands.

The place of their installation in height can be determined either by marking the top of the net installed on the lower mounts with a pencil, or by calculating - the size from the supporting part of the lower bracket to the supporting part of the upper bracket should be 8 mm more than the height of the mosquito net.

Having installed all the fasteners, we take the mosquito net out of the frame and stick it out the window, first insert it into the upper fasteners until it stops. With the bindings correctly installed, the bottom of the net should go over the bottom bindings very close. Then we lower the mesh down onto the lower mounts and check how firmly it adheres to the mounts. In case of the slightest doubt, it is better to lower the upper mounts for a tighter fit of the mosquito net.

First, take the mosquito net out of the frame in the middle on both sides and push it out through the window light opening.

Not by the handles, as some would-be experts advise (the handles are rolled up with a rubber cord and with an awkward movement they will break free and just remain in your hands), but out of the frame.
Insert the mosquito net (holding the frame on both sides) by the mounts from above until it stops (picture below: position<1>), then grab one handle with one hand, then the other handle with the other, press the bottom of the mosquito net to the frame and slide it into the lower mounts (position<2>).Be sure to check that the mosquito net is wound behind the lower mounts, and not on them. See the picture below. To remove the mosquito net, you must repeat all the steps in reverse order. To take
by the handles, lift up to the stop. Then grasp the frame with one hand and then with the other hand move the bottom of the net slightly away from the frame and lower it down (until the upper fasteners come out of engagement) and bring the mosquito net into the room.

If there is a flap nearby, it will be more convenient to grasp the bottom of the mesh frame through the adjacent flap and lift it up all the way, move the bottom of the mesh away from the frame and, holding the frame with both hands, bring the mosquito net into the room.

Non-standard installation of mosquito net No. 1.

Unlike the standard installation of the mosquito net, the non-standard one differs only in the installation of the upper mounts on the sides of the net (used when the top of the free frame profile is less than 5 cm):

The process of installing and removing the mosquito net is the same as for the standard installation method.

Non-standard installation of mosquito net No. 2.

It is used when the top of the free profile is 3-4 cm. First, the upper fasteners are screwed on (as with standard installation) as high as possible. Then a mosquito net is attached to them all the way and from below we mark the bottom of the net with a pencil. We attach the fasteners to 5 mm. below the mark.

The mosquito net will be inserted from the side. We take it out of the frame, we start it first into the upper mount, then into the lower one. It is advisable to push in the mosquito net without distortions (try to keep it strictly vertical).

Non-standard installation of mosquito net No. 3.

NSIt is used when the top is less than 3 cm and there are two opening sashes next to it.

First, the upper attachment is screwed on from the side on the vertical part of the frame profile (farthest from the adjacent sash). You can retreat 10-15 cm from the upper corner (it will be better to press the middle of the mosquito net).

Mosquito nets are used to protect living quarters from mosquitoes, midges, flies and other insects, as well as to protect them from dirt and fluff. The mosquito net mount can be selected and installed by yourself. What mounts exist and how to use this or that option correctly, read on.

What is a mosquito net

A mosquito net installed on plastic windows (or less often wooden windows) consists of the following elements:

  • frame, which can be made of PVC or aluminum profile;

Aluminum profiles are more durable than PVC. To give the metal a more aesthetic look, the profile is covered with protective enamel.

  • corners used to connect profiles into a finished structure;
  • a protective mesh made primarily of fiberglass;
  • an anchorage cord used to secure the mesh to the frame;
  • handles required for installation and control of the structure.

Methods for attaching the mesh to the window

Fastening mosquito nets to windows can be done in the following ways:

  • on the hinges;
  • on the pockets;
  • on flags;
  • Velcro;
  • on the plunger;
  • on a roller shutter;
  • pleated mesh.

Hinge fastening

Installation plastic mesh on the hinge is done in the following way:

  1. depending on the size of the window mesh, the size and quantity are selected;
  2. using small self-tapping screws, the hinges are attached to the mesh frame;
  3. the installation locations of the second hinge parts are marked on the window frame;

  1. through the prepared holes, the mesh is fixed to the window frame;
  2. on the opposite side of the frame, a latch is installed.

The advantages of this fastening method is the ability to quickly open the mesh to perform any actions, and the disadvantages include:

  • the complexity of dismantling for the winter period of time;
  • inability to use on windows with bars;
  • possibility of unauthorized opening in strong wind.

Fastening to pockets

The use of pockets allows you to quickly remove the mesh on winter storage and install the device back. The mounting technology of fasteners also does not cause problems and is performed as follows:

  1. using self-tapping screws, the pockets are fixed to the corners window frame;
  2. further, it is necessary to correctly determine the location of the striker plates on the mesh frame. For this, a frame with a gap of 2 - 3 mm is attached to the window and the bottom pair of fasteners is marked. The second upper pair is marked out after complete installation of the lower fasteners;
  3. the fastening of the strips in the mosquito net is also done with self-tapping screws.

The process of installing pockets is shown in the video.

Checkboxes

The use of flags to fix the mosquito net is permissible only if the frame of the net is made of an aluminum profile, since the plastic profile quickly collapses under the influence of a self-tapping screw.

The checkbox is a small plastic or metal structure, made in the form of letters G or Z. Fastening and work are provided with a self-tapping screw.

Checking the boxes is straightforward, as it is done in the following way:

  1. the locations of the fasteners are marked;

For secure fixation, it is enough to set 6 flags: 4 pieces at the corners of the frame and 2 pieces on the largest sides of the frame.

  1. holes are drilled;
  2. the flags are fixed.

Velcro mounting

With Velcro, you can install a mosquito net made without a frame. This method is simple and reliable, but the replacement of the fixing elements is periodically required.

Install the adhesive tape as follows:

  1. the window frame is thoroughly cleaned of various contaminants, including dust;
  2. the frame is dried;
  3. one piece of adhesive tape is attached to the frame. It is recommended to fasten it carefully, without kinks, waves and other deviations, and the first time;
  4. the second part of the tape is fixed to the mesh (sewn on, soldered, and so on).

Plunger fastening - spring-loaded metal rods differ high level reliability, but the negative factor of this method is the need to drill the profile of the window frame, which can reduce the service life of the window.

Mounting is done as follows:

  1. plungers are fixed to the frame of the mosquito net;
  2. the finished structure is inserted into the pre-prepared grooves of the window frame;
  3. when the handle is lowered, the plungers will jump out of the mesh and fall into the grooves of the frame, thereby fixing the mesh on the window.

Using roller shutters

The most convenient to use is the roller net: a roll-up mosquito net moving along the guides. Its installation is done like this:

  1. a block with a grid is installed in the upper part of the window;
  2. guides are fixed on the sides of the window frame;
  3. a latch is installed at the bottom of the window that fixes the mesh in the open position.

A significant disadvantage of this design is its high cost.

Plisse mesh fastening

The Pleated mesh differs from the roller shutter mesh only in one factor - the direction of movement. Pleated mesh (mesh, assembled in an "accordion", hence the name) moves not along vertical, but along horizontal guides.

Mesh installation process:

  1. fastening guides at the top and bottom of the windows;
  2. fastening a latch to hold the net in a closed position.

Due to some sagging, the mesh does not fit tightly, which does not provide complete protection against insect penetration.

In order for the mosquito net to serve for a long time, the device must be removed for the winter and cleaned of dirt 2 - 4 times per season of use.

Firework! The working day has just begun, the call. A friend of his wife, who opened a private kindergarten, is on the phone.

One child climbed with scissors into the window, and it was open, and cut through the mosquito net.

Fortunately, her husband was nearby, volunteered to help, but does not know how to install a mosquito net.

For such cases, there are several ways. I'll talk about them in this article.

We read carefully, and if we don’t remember, then we save it to our bookmarks. It will definitely come in handy.

Mosquito nets for plastic windows

A modern window cannot be imagined without a mosquito net. The annoying buzzing of insects at night and the poplar fluff that fills the house are a thing of the past with this simple and convenient accessory.

Convenience and ease of fastening made mosquito nets the most popular accessory for new plastic windows. But everyone wants to have as much fresh air in the house as possible, and the windows do not always allow the rooms to be ventilated completely.

In honor of the opening of the summer cottage season, the companies are introducing a new type of mosquito nets into their assortment - swing nets for balcony doors.

Now there will be even more fresh air in every home. Until recently, it was impossible to install a mosquito net on a balcony door.

Many craftsmen, of course, pulled on gauze and experimented with other materials at hand. This is no longer necessary because the professionally made swinging mosquito nets will easily fit into any door profile.

Does your cat like to sit on the windowsill and even sometimes tries to hunt birds that fly by? And then, of course, he begins to stretch and scratch his claws on the mosquito net? And no matter how hard you try to explain to him that you cannot do this, he still strives to squeeze out the mesh.

One word is spring. Or maybe it's the birds that drive him crazy? If you live no higher than the 10th floor, then you may have seen how sometimes hungry birds fly up to the windows and try to get the midges that have huddled in there from the window mesh.

Pay attention! To make your life more comfortable, the companies have introduced a new product into the assortment - nets with a reinforced PVC coating "Anticoshka". Plain aluminum base with weaves covered chemical composition made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

This substance is completely safe for humans, the coating does not interfere with light and air entering your house. But it saves from industrial gases (chlorine, nitrogen dioxide), solutions of salts, basic acids, alkalis and moisture, and along the way from mosquitoes, too.

Additional processing allows the mosquito net to be made so strong that it is almost impossible to tear it or damage it in general, even for birds and cats. The mesh is attached to the window with special fasteners. We note especially that "fasteners" - from the word "strong".

That is, now your cat will definitely not fall out of the window (owners of cats, sleep well). And hungry birds, even if they eat stuck midges, will still not violate the integrity of the net.

And although traditional medicine recommends as much as possible to protect yourself from mosquitoes with the smell of cloves, anise or eucalyptus, the company knows that the best remedy is mosquito nets. Caring for the mosquito nets It is recommended to remove the mosquito nets for the winter.

If necessary, but at least once a year, wash the mesh with warm soapy water... Fasteners do not need maintenance. To calculate the size of your mosquito net, you need to measure the clear opening of the open window and add 20 mm on each side.

Types of mosquito nets

"Anticoshka"
Sliding
Roll
"Antidust"
For doors

Types of fasteners

removable frame;
sliding frame;
pleated;
roll type;
fastened with adhesive tape or magnetic tape;
"Anti-cat";
Anti-dust;

Let's consider the main types in more detail

Anticoshka

If there are pets at home, then when installing a mosquito net, their safety is also worth considering. For this there is a special model - "anticoshka". It is created from special durable threads, thanks to which the product can withstand the most severe loads.

Therefore, the same cat will not be able to tear or ruin the net. At the same time, the product is equipped with an additional fastener that improves safety. And it is not worth removing such a mesh even for the winter, its strength is enough to withstand such a fierce time.

Sliding

Suitable not only for ordinary windows, but also for terraces and balconies. Such a mesh looks like two sliding parts that can open and close. In this case, there must be special guides on the opening. And thanks to the gray color, the visibility from the windows does not deteriorate.

Roll

The most efficient solution. They look like a rolled roll in a box. It is mounted above the window. An important advantage of this design is its versatility.

After all, the mesh looks good and is comfortable to use. There is nothing difficult in installing such a mosquito net. This does not require special care. And, of course, there were some drawbacks - the high cost.

"Antidust"

Today, allergies are quite common among different segments of the population. Therefore, for such cases, it is worth thinking about yourself by installing an anti-dust grid. Such a product is created from a dense material that retains even the smallest particles.

This is important! However, hence the disadvantage - rapid pollution. However, it is very easy to clean it. First, the surface is washed with a warm soapy solution and then wiped with a soft dry cloth.

Such a mosquito net does not impair the appearance of the window, while it transmits the sun's rays well. And its main drawback is the high price. Otherwise, everything is very worthy.

For doors

There are also such models. They not only protect the room from insects, but also play the role of a regulator of the incoming air. Such products are installed on the hinges. Fixation takes place with magnets. Such a mosquito net on the door is a guarantee of the absence of a draft.

Speaking of mosquito nets, one cannot but touch upon the issue of their attachment. And it can be like this:

using ears;
on hinges;
on plunger pins;
on z-shaped fasteners.

Helpful advice! The last option is the most successful from the point of view of reliability and usability. This does not require making additional holes in the frame.

This mount can be used for both wooden and plastic windows. The only drawback is the looseness of the mesh. Due to the remaining small gaps, especially dodgy insects can still enter the room.

The pins are screwed into the window frame. Therefore, the fastening is reliable. Elements are made of stainless steel. This solution makes it possible for the mesh to fit snugly to the frame, as well as easy to install and dismantle.

The hinged mount is good for doors. In this case, a reinforced profile is used, because the load on the frame is greater.

Which mount to choose? It all depends on the location where the installation will be performed. For a plastic window, you will need four fasteners and eight self-tapping screws. First you need to take measurements. Further, corner fasteners are installed at the corners, and not corner ones - equidistant from each other.

To remove the mesh from the window, take the plastic holders with both hands and gently pull them up. First, the mesh will come out of the lower holders, then it should be bent, and then removed from the upper ones. After that, the mesh remains to be taken into the room.

As you can see, there is nothing difficult in installing and dismantling the mosquito net, even if a plastic window is used. Therefore, in most cases, there is no point in contacting specialists to perform such procedures - your knowledge and skills should be enough.

Installing mosquito nets on windows

Installing mosquito nets on windows

Residents of central Russia are well aware of such problems of the summer period as stuffiness in the apartment of midges and flies, mosquitoes, dust and poplar fluff.

In this case, the solution of the first is inherently connected with the appearance of the second. And the fight against insects is associated with stuffiness in the rooms.

Since from an open window dozens of insects strive to fly into the apartment.

A few years ago, we used gauze to save ourselves from mosquitoes, whereas today, installing mosquito nets on windows can easily solve the problem.

Mosquito nets are lightweight, high-strength structures installed in the openings of the vents or window sashes.

Please note! These products are lightweight, so they can be easily fixed to the window frame using special grooves. To facilitate the installation process, mosquito nets are equipped with small handles.

Installation of mosquito nets can be carried out by both professional window company workers and homeowners.

The only difficulty in this process is to fix the grooves into which mosquito nets will subsequently be inserted (some types of windows do not provide for the presence of fasteners in the nominal configuration).

Mosquito nets are made from extruded aluminum profiles. The mesh itself, which protects the window from uninvited guests, is attached to the frame of the mosquito along the entire perimeter with a rubber cord.

And a direct obstacle for insects is the mesh of a mosquito net measuring 1x1 mm. Installation of mosquito nets does not affect the aesthetics of the window appearance, while maintaining the beauty and attractiveness of the snow-white profile.

In addition, mosquito nets do not require additional maintenance during operation and can be easily removed and installed at your request.

This is important! Companies offer mosquito nets in both classic colors - white, gray, brown, as well as making mosquitoes according to individual sizes and taking into account your wishes regarding the color scheme of the product.

When ordering mosquito nets, you get durable high-quality products that are resistant to deformation, external influences and fading. Your house will always be clean from poplar fluff and dust, and you will forget about annoying insects forever.

Installation of a mosquito net on a frame manufactured by our company is possible using two fastening options. Their choice depends on the quality of the window installation, as well as on the preferences of the customer.

How to properly install the mosquito net on the frame?

To do this, you need to take the product by the two handles on the sides, then start the upper "hooks" (long fasteners) for the influx of windows and lift the mesh up until it stops.

Do not miss! Do-it-yourself external slopes for plastic windows

After that, slightly pulling the mosquito towards you, we wind up the lower "hooks" for the inflow of the frame and lower the mesh down onto the short attachments. The last stage is the positioning (alignment) of the frame mosquito net in the window opening.

How to remove the mosquito net on the frame?

To do this, take the installed mosquito net by the two handles and pull. Installing the net on the inner mountings upwards until the lower "hooks" disengage from the frame overflow.

Then, pushing the anti-mosquito outward, lower it down. Now the only thing left to do is to bring the mosquito net into the house. As you can see, the installation and removal of products with metal internal fasteners will not be difficult even for an inexperienced person.

Installing the mosquito net using plastic Z-shaped corners is the most reliable and practical option.

But at the same time, it requires a certain skill and poses some danger to a person, since when installing a mosquito net it will be necessary to stick out of the window in order to fix the corners to the screws.

How is the mosquito net attached?

First you need to screw the upper mounts onto the screws.
At ideal option(distance from the edge of the bead to the slope ≥50 mm) it is necessary to measure 50 mm from the edge of the bead on both sides and put marks.
Then, along these marks, we apply long fasteners and fasten them with screws.

Please note: The length of the screws should be ≤20 mm, as the longer ones can rest against the reinforcement that goes inside the PVC window.

In the event that the distance is less than 50 mm, but more than 30 mm, then we determine the minimum distance and measure it from the edge of the bead on both sides. After installing the upper Z-shaped corners, you need to install the lower ones. There are two installation options here.

Option A

This option is possible if the second sash opens, or it private house, or the first floor. Those. when it is possible to get close to the PVC profile from the outside.

We take the mosquito net, insert it into the upper mounts, raise it and, pulling it towards ourselves, lean the bottom against the profile. At this time, the assistant makes marks on the window along the edge of the m / s.

Important! During this time, you are holding the product latched into the top brackets. After that, we retreat 27 mm and make the finishing marks, along which we fasten the short fasteners to the screws.
Option B

Installing mosquito nets on the frame using this option It is used in that Measurement when installing the lower bracket of the anti-mosquito in the case when it is not possible to get close to the outside of the frame and make marks when the m / s is set.

After the upper mounts are installed, we measure our product to the nearest millimeters, then add 27 mm and mark the resulting length from the end of the upper mount downwards. Leaning the mount against the resulting mark, fasten it with screws.

After the upper and lower fasteners are installed, we take the frame mosquito net by the handles, start by the upper fasteners, raise it by slightly pulling the bottom of the mesh to the frame, lower the m / s to the lower fasteners. After that, we position the product in the opening.

Useful advice! If you doubt that you can correctly mount the frame mosquito net, the best option will contact the company's specialists and order a mosquito net immediately with the installation.

How to install a mosquito net yourself?

How to install a mosquito net yourself?

In the summer, basically all people keep their windows open, but because of this, various insects can fly into our house.

They interfere with sleep and can be carriers of various diseases. These can be mosquitoes, moths, various bugs, moths, flies.

To prevent insects from flying into the room, it is imperative to install a mosquito net.

In addition to insects, birds, poplar fluff, dust can fly into the apartment. Modern design the mesh consists of an aluminum frame on which a special canvas is fixed.

The aluminum profile is painted to match the color of the window frame, and the mesh itself is painted gray so that it does not stand out against the background of the window.

There is nothing complicated in the design of a mosquito net, so anyone can install it. Also, when installing the mesh, there will be no difficulties. When the old mesh is already worn out and does not fulfill all its functions, you should remove the dimensions from the old mesh and order it.

You need to purchase this mesh at the wholesale warehouse of accessories. If your window was made without a mosquito net, then it will be much more difficult to take measurements than with a ready-made mesh. You need to open the window frame and take measurements around the perimeter.

Then you need to add three centimeters in height and two centimeters in width. After receiving your order, you will receive a mosquito net and attachments to it. The fastener consists of two pairs of fasteners - up and down.

It should be noted that the top bracket contains a bar slightly wider than the bottom bracket. The important point is that you cannot confuse them in any way. In addition, the correct location of the mount on the frame and its fixation are considered important.

First, you need to place the bottom mount outside the frame so that the bottom of the mosquito net is 1.5 centimeters below the opening. After that, the lower mount must be positioned along the upper opening.

Pay attention! To find their place, it is necessary to mark the length of the net from the lower mountings and add 1 centimeter.

It will not be difficult to insert it. To do this, it is necessary to pull it out from the inside out through the window opening and insert it into the fastening groove from above. Actions are carried out in this way - the grid is attracted to itself and gradually goes down.

You can also install a grid on a window with wooden frame... The main requirement is that the window opens inward and there are no protrusions outside the frame. The protrusions can cause the mosquito net to break.

The installation of this mosquito net considers two methods:

One way installation includes the presence of internal fastening. To do this, the mesh is taken by the handles and wound up behind the upper opening of the window - the mesh is lifted up to the stop.

Then it is necessary to wind the lower fastener behind the overflow of the frame and lower the mosquito net down onto the lower fasteners. The final action will be to align the mesh along the frame.

Second way installation consists in fixing the mesh outside the window opening using Z-shaped fasteners. It's over reliable way fastenings, but for a person it can be dangerous during installation.

This is important! To fix the mounting angles, you must be outside the window opening. The top Z-corners are installed first and then the bottom Z-corners.

Should you install a mosquito net?

During the summer, we mostly keep our windows open. This has one significant drawback - various insects can fly into an open window. These insects will "ring" around you, preventing you from sleeping peacefully at night.

In addition, they also bite, after which redness appears and severe itching occurs. The usual flying moth is also harmful, which damages products made from natural fibers. To avoid all this, you need to install a mosquito net.

A common mosquito net is a frame made of an aluminum profile, on which a fine-mesh material is fixed - a mosquito cloth.

This canvas is painted in the least visible gray color to our eyes. The aluminum profile is usually painted to match the color of the window. As already mentioned, the main purpose of the mosquito net is universal protection against various insects.

However, it is capable of performing not only this function. It is especially important to use it at the time of flowering of various plants that cause allergies.

This netting partially prevents street dust from entering the premises and completely protects the apartment from larger particles such as feathers, poplar fluff and leaves carried by the wind. Also, thanks to such nets, when the windows are open, your pets will not go anywhere.

The advantage of mosquito nets is that they require little or no maintenance. You only need to rinse the mosquito net twice a year, in the spring (before the warm season) and in the fall. warm water using a mild detergent.

Helpful advice! Removing the mosquito net is very easy, thanks to this, caring for it does not require much work and wasted time. Is not difficult technological process and the manufacture of a mosquito net on a plastic window, so this work can be done independently.

At the same time, you do not need to have any special skills or have expensive tools. In addition, making and installing a mosquito net with your own hands is much cheaper than ordering from an organization specializing in the manufacture and installation of windows.

You can install mosquito nets on almost any window or door. This work can last from a minute to half an hour, depending on the complexity of the installation. Typically, a standard framed mosquito net is installed on metal-plastic window for 1-2 days.

If your old mosquito net has become unusable, then to order a new one, you just need to remove the dimensions from the old one and order exactly the same one. In addition, there are already fasteners on the plastic windows.

In this case, you should pay attention to the question of where it is better to order. You most likely wondered what to buy the right thing best of all in the company where you ordered metal-plastic windows. In this or another similar organization, you can ask to make this for you the right part window.

But there is a way to save money. Very often, in wholesale warehouses, where manufacturers purchase component materials for themselves, they also trade for individuals, so that mosquito nets can be bought there much cheaper.

Step-by-step instruction

Step-by-step instruction

If you installed plastic windows in winter, and you simply forgot to include the mosquito net in the order at checkout, then in this case it will be a little more difficult to make measurements.

You need to open the frame that you want to cover with a mosquito net.
Now a frame opening has opened in front of you. You need to measure its width and height.
After that, you should add two cm in width, and in height - 3 cm.
Upon receipt of the finished order, you should be given not only the mesh itself, but also the fasteners for it.
The fastener consists of two pairs, in which the fastener goes up and down.
Note that the top mount has a slightly wider retaining bar. It is very important not to confuse them during installation.
It is also necessary to correctly position them on the frame and screw them on.
First of all, you need to position the lower fasteners outside the frame in such a way that the lower edge of the mosquito net, which will later become in the fastening groove, is one and a half cm below the frame opening.
The top mounts should then be positioned on top of the frame.
In order to determine their place, you need to measure the height of the mosquito net plus 1 cm from the lower mountings. It is quite simple to insert it.
It is necessary to pull it out through the window opening and insert it into the groove of the upper holders, pulling it close to the frame and lowering it down.
You can install a mosquito net on wooden window... The main thing in this matter is that the window opens inward, and that there are no protrusions outside the frame.
In the designs of some wooden frames, such technological protrusions are provided, and if the mesh is placed, they will simply tear it.
You can install frame mosquito nets using two mounting options. As a rule, their choice depends on the quality of the window installation and on the customer's preferences.
The first option is to install mosquito nets on plastic windows using internal fasteners.
To do this, you will need to take the product by the two handles on the sides, and then put the upper "hooks" behind the influx of windows and lift the mesh up until it stops.
Next, you need to get the bottom "hooks" behind the frame overflow and lower the mesh down onto the short attachments.
The last step is to align the mosquito net in the window opening. The second installation option is to attach the mosquito net using external Z-obliques. different mounts.
The first step is to attach the top mounts to the screws.
It is necessary to measure 50 mm from the edge of the bead on both sides and put marks on which we then apply long fasteners and fasten them with screws.
Remember that the length of the screws should be less than 20 mm, since the longer ones can rest against the reinforcement passing through the plastic window.
Once you have installed the upper Z-shaped corners, you can start installing the lower ones. This can be done in two ways.
The first method is possible when it is possible to get close to the PVC profile from the outside. You need to take a mosquito net, then insert it into the upper mounts, then raise it and, pulling it towards you, lean the bottom against the profile.
At the same time, the assistant must make marks around the edge of the window. Then, using these marks, we fasten the short fasteners to the screws.
The second method of installing mosquito nets is possible when there is no way to get to the outside of the frame and make marks.
In this case, after the upper mounts are installed, you need to measure our product, then add 27 mm and mark the resulting length from the end of the upper mount down.
After that, we fasten the mount with screws. Next, you should take the frame mosquito net by the handles, wind it by the upper fasteners, lift it up, pulling the bottom of the mesh to the frame and lower it onto the lower fasteners.

This method of fastening is the most reliable and practical option, however, it requires some skill and presents some danger to humans, because when installing a mosquito net, you will need to stick out of the window to fix the corners with the screws.

Now you can enjoy the fresh air without being afraid of the influx of flies, mosquitoes or other winged insects.

How to install mosquito nets?

Mosquito nets are a useful invention that saves our homes from mosquitoes and other insects during summer heat when we leave plastic windows open. From this article you can learn how to properly install mosquito nets on windows and doors.

Installation of a mosquito net on the window

To install the mesh on a plastic window, you need to get a set of 4 fasteners and self-tapping screws (2 for each fastener). Measure the parameters of the grid. With the grid flat against the window, transfer the markings. Non-corner fasteners are fixed in the center of the window frame with equal spacing between them, corner fasteners, respectively, are fastened to the corners of the frame.

Important! Top brackets should be mounted above upper corner mesh at a distance of 12 millimeters. This will provide space for the mesh to enter. A screwdriver is used to attach the fasteners to self-tapping screws.

To remove the mosquito net from the PVC window, grasp the plastic holders in the middle of the net with both hands and gently pull them straight up. After the net comes out of the lower hooks, move the lower part two to three cm away from you and slowly lower it before the net comes out of the upper holders. Move the insect screen gently into the room.

Installing a mosquito net on the door

Mosquito nets on a balcony or veranda door are installed using hinges, a clamping mechanism, and special magnets. Before installing the mesh, the places where the hinges will be attached are first marked, after which they are fixed on the window profile with self-tapping screws.

After that, the mesh itself is put on the loops and the clamping mechanism is fixed. At the final stage of installing the mosquito net on the door, it is necessary to install window profile self-tapping magnets.

Fastening a mosquito net: how to put it on plastic windows

The problem of mosquitoes and flies in summer is quite urgent. And the most the best option its solution is to mount a mosquito net on the door or a plastic window. How to make all the fasteners with your own hands and install a mosquito structure on a window, balcony or door, we will tell you in this material.

DIY mosquito nets mounts

So, if you already have a mosquito net for windows with Z-shaped fasteners on it, then to install it you need to follow these steps:

take a mosquito net and place it so that the Z-shaped fastener is facing you. At the same time, keep in mind that the fasteners may differ from each other in the length of their hook. Then install the mesh so that the fasteners are turned with the side of the smaller hook down, and the large one up, respectively;
grab firmly the side vertical handles on the window, which can be either metal or plastic;
place the sash in a specially prepared place for installation on the window opening;
put a large hook on the upper part of the window frame, while lifting the mesh as high as possible;
at the highest position of the net structure, bring smaller hooks to the edges of the window frame at the bottom and release it.

We have given the simplest option for installing a mosquito net, provided that all the necessary fasteners are present on it. It should be noted that this installation method is not suitable for all types of plastic window structures.

How to attach a mesh structure to a window

Mosquito nets for plastic windows

We turn to the next common method of attaching a mosquito net to a window or balcony, carried out using special plastic corners.

This method is not universal and the best, however, if we are talking about plastic windows, then you should carefully study and try it.

Unlike the method where metal fasteners are used, the fasteners are installed here directly on the window frame, and not on the mesh frame.

The algorithm of work when installing a mosquito structure will be as follows:

take all the necessary measurements;
make markings in all places where the plastic corners are attached. They should be done on the outside of the plastic window frame, taking into account a small margin;
fix the corners on the window frame with self-tapping screws;
further installation is carried out similarly to the previous option - when the mosquito net is installed on the window using first the upper and then the lower hooks.

How to install a mosquito net on a door

Mosquito nets for doors, in contrast to window nets, are divided into two types:

free hanging;
located in a special frame case.

Unlike plastic windows, installing a mosquito net on a door with your own hands will be more difficult. The fact is that the delivery of these structures is carried out in a complete set for specialized specialists, and common man it can be extremely difficult to figure it out.

This is important! If we take mosquito nets with a frame as an example, then they should be fixed with hinges like ordinary doors. But the hanging models are fixed around the entire perimeter of the door, connecting them in the center with a magnetic fastener.

Of course, it is advisable not to carry out this installation do it yourself, but turn to a professional, it will be much calmer, in addition, if there is a product defect, you can freely change it.

The door structure is attached with hinges, sometimes handles and a magnetic latch are included. In some cases, one or two imposts can be placed on the mosquito door, depending on the height. The installation time of a door mosquito net, depending on the complexity of the design, ranges from fifteen minutes to half an hour.

Features of different mounts for mosquito nets

If you have a need to install and fix a mosquito structure on an aluminum window, then the installation will differ little from the methods described above, but keep in mind the following points:

the product itself should be wound behind the upper guide;
in the maximum permissible upper position, put the lower edge of the sash behind the guide at the bottom;
omit the structure.

As a rule, the process of installing a mosquito net on a plastic window takes a little time - up to half an hour.

A standard factory frame mesh can be installed in a couple of minutes by fastening to the window with special latches, but a structure with Z-shaped fasteners is installed in about ten minutes, the process itself will already be more complicated.

Please note! However, in terms of reliability the best choice metal fasteners are considered. They do not deteriorate over time, do not crack, and do not undergo other changes, even during the coldest winters or during the strongest summer heat.

If the mosquito net is equipped with metal internal fasteners, then it will not fall out of the window, even in strong gusts of winds or hurricanes, as is often the case with nets equipped with plastic fasteners.

There are also roller-type mosquito products, it will be extremely difficult to install them on your own, but if there is a need for this, then better installation do it together, so as not to lose this or that structural element and so that it does not accidentally fall out of the window.

Also among the features of this design can be called twisting of the mesh during its opening or during removal from the latches. In the absence of such a function, the spring will constantly twist it frequently, and this can significantly reduce the life of the structure.

Good advice! So, we learned about what it is like installing a mosquito net on a plastic window or on a door. Of course, if we are not talking about the simplest design that can be installed without difficulty in a minute or within half an hour, then it is better to entrust this work to professionals in their field.

So you will sleep well, and you will not worry that tomorrow the structure will fail.

The beginning of the day was memorable: a friend called and told about her troubles. In her private kindergarten the kid climbed onto the windowsill to the open window and ruined the mosquito net in the open window, which had already been installed before.

The husband of the hostess of the kindergarten offered his help, but he is not familiar with such work and does not know how to do it, how to properly install a net from mosquitoes and other insects.

There are several ways to properly install an insect net, and they will be discussed in this article.

Attention! We advise you to carefully consider this information and remember it as fully as possible - summer will come and everything that you have read here may come in handy. If you are unable to remember everything, you can bookmark this text so that it is always at your fingertips.

Starting from warm days, when summer time is already approaching, insects try to get into the house (some fly to the light, others to warmth, and still others, like mosquitoes, to obtain "food", that is, they suck blood for nutrition and procreation) ... Instincts lead them to where it all is, i.e. into human housing, which can only be entered through entrance doors and open windows.

Therefore, people, trying to protect themselves from mosquitoes and the like, put mosquito nets on windows and doors. In this case, you can freely ventilate the room, while remaining protected from unpleasant bites and intrusive night guests from insects.

Insect and mosquito nets for plastic windows of an apartment

In cities and especially villages, it is now difficult not to find the main window accessory - a mosquito net for new plastic windows and doors. Clouds of annoying summer gnats, mosquito nocturnal buzzer and poplar fluff are a thing of the past with this accessory.

A mosquito net is always convenient and simple as usual. That is why they have become the main accessory and indispensable addition to plastic windows. Installed in the spring, they can protect your peace until cold weather, when the constant ventilation is already unpleasant, and the windows need to be switched to the winter way of closing. But while the grids are on, I want the apartment to be as ventilated as possible. And with the grid, it gets trickier.

Hinged nets allow you to ventilate the apartment and house even more. You may remember that prior to this gift from the mosquito netting companies, there was almost no alternative that was so breathable and insect-proof.

True, there were those lovers of home inventions who did not want to put up with insects long before the appearance of mosquito nets. They fastened materials at hand, such as gauze, to a slat frame and fastened to a doorway. Now hardly anyone will need these inventions - mosquito nets can be put on any door.

If you have a cat at home, then you probably already noticed its strange behavior when a mosquito net is installed. Sitting comfortably on the windowsill, he begins to jump onto the net, trying to grab a bird flying by, then, arching his fluffy back and languidly stretching, begins to clean his claws on it. Your mustachioed pet does not react to any admonitions, punishment and even "teaching" with slippers, alas, and striving to push the net out of the window.

Spring has come and the cat also wants active movement and "flying vitamins". Surely, if you live above the fifth or sixth floor, you have noticed how birds, trying to find food in cities, sit on the windowsill and carefully examine the mosquito net, trying to pick out an insect stuck there.

Attention to owners of furry family members!

So that you are not afraid that the cat will damage the net and that he himself may fall out of the 10th floor, companies that make mosquito nets began to cover them with a special substance, polyvinyl chloride, called Anticoshka. A regular aluminum mesh is coated with this chemical, polyvinyl chloride.

You have nothing to be afraid of - no less air will flow into the rooms than it was received, and there is no obstacle to the light. But from insects and unwanted moisture, together with industrial gases such as chlorine, nitrogen dioxide, salts, alkalis, acids present in the air of modern cities, this coating can protect.

Also, a covering layer of polyvinyl chloride so strengthens the mesh that it is not afraid of either the claws of cats or the beaks of birds. Now nothing can damage your protection against insects, poplar fluff and large suspended particles.

The mesh covered with "Anticoshka" becomes so strong that it is not afraid of the claws of your furry pet, or the beak of a bird, or the most various unintentional damage. It generally cannot be spoiled somehow or torn by accident. To attach the mosquito net to the window, special fasteners are used (we remind you that "fasteners" and "strong" are one-root words, the essence of which is the same).

Owners of cats and cats can be calm about their pet: it will not fall out of the apartment window. And the beak of a hungry bird, no matter how hard it tries to break the net and get the midges stuck there, will not damage your mosquito net covered with PVC.

Of course there are means traditional medicine, which our grandmothers and great-grandmothers used to help protect themselves from mosquitoes and other insects that fly into the house in the summer and day and night. But already all the inhabitants of the country know that best protection from insects is a mosquito net.

How to care for a mosquito net

When it gets so cold that active ventilation instead of fresh air will bring a runny nose and a cold, the nets must be removed from the door and window openings.

After removal, at least once a year, it is necessary to wash the weaving with soapy water. The fasteners do not need to be rinsed.

What types of mosquito nets have already been released

  • "Antidust"
  • "Anticoshka"
  • Sliding
  • For doors
  • Roll

What mounts are used

  • fastening with tape or magnetic tape;
  • pleated;
  • roll-type mounts;
  • Anti-dust;
  • sliding frame;
  • "Anti-cat";
  • removable frame mounts.

Details of each type

"Anticoshka"

Those apartment owners who have a furry friend, a cat or a cat should take a closer look at the Anticoshka mosquito net, which is specially made in order to protect the pet and the net from trouble. Used in this type are strong threads that can withstand heavy loads and are not damaged, saving the family budget from unnecessary shocks. It also ensures the safety of the cat or cat.

The net is also attached with a special fastener, so reliable that it withstands the pressure on it not only of an animal, but also of a small child, and this dramatically increases the safety of both children and animals. Another attractive feature of this species is that the net does not need to be removed for the winter, it does not deteriorate even by frost and winds of the snowy season.

Sliding

Suitable not only for windows, but also for balconies and terraces. They are two halves walking on special guides, which close and open conveniently and simply. The visibility of this type does not decrease due to the gray color.

Roll

It is the most efficient type listed above. Folded in roll and box. Attached at the top, then unfolds to cover the window. This type differs from all in its good functionality.

Even those who hold a construction or locksmith tool in their hands for the first time can simply cope with the installation and fastening of such a mesh, because there is absolutely nothing unusual about the installation. A significant plus - it does not require maintenance and special attention... But, as elsewhere and always, all good things have a common disadvantage - the price. It is not cheap.

"Antidust"

The scourge of our time is allergy, it is so common that it is worth producing a mosquito net with very small cells, capable of retaining dust suspended in the air, large particles and small ones.

Attention! Note for those who are sick.

There are also disadvantages - it quickly gets filled with dirt and dust. This is a significant drawback that can provoke an exacerbation of an allergic disease. However, every good housewife can do it all - you just need to periodically wash the mesh with soapy water and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. It is also advisable to dry in a dry, clean, dust-free environment protected from the wind.

"Anti-dust" looks organic and passes sunlight well enough. The view of the window does not spoil. Along with the advantages, there is also a disadvantage - it is expensive. The price is not affordable for everyone, which has a negative effect on the sale of goods. However, those who nevertheless took the risk of acquiring this species were very pleased. The grid justified the spent finances.

Grids for doors

The invention of such grids is a landmark event for potential users. Along with the function of protecting an apartment or house from insects, they perform another function - this is an unusual regulator of the air flow into the room.

They are mounted on hinges and kept closed with small magnets. By purchasing and using such a mesh, you will get rid of drafts in the room and the house, since the air flow, colliding with an obstacle in the form of a mesh, reduces the speed of its movement

Considering mosquito nets, we cannot ignore the attachment of these nets to window and doorways... Fastening to the mesh can be as follows:

With hinges;

  • using ears;
  • using plunger pins;
  • by means of Z-shaped mountings.

The latter type of fastening is the most reliable and convenient option - no extra holes in the doors are needed.

However, these attachments are not suitable for the Anticoshka mesh, because there are very small folds, only 0.5 mm, and cannot withstand mechanical pressure. The mesh may deteriorate. Also, this type of fastening is not suitable with the "Anti-dust" mesh. There is a gap of 2-3 mm, which will not let the mosquito through, but let the dust through, although the most dodgy insects can penetrate this gap.

Such a mount can be installed on plastic windows, where it is not desirable to make holes, and on wooden ones, in which, although you can do too much, it will still spoil the look of the frame.

Fastening with pins is more reliable and practical because they need to be screwed into the frame. The elements are made of stainless steel, so the mesh adheres more to the frame, it is very convenient to mount the mesh and remove it, i.e. dismantling.

It is better to use hinge fastening on balcony, veranda or terrace doors, while it is necessary to strengthen the elements, because the load on the door frame is much greater than on the window frame. A reinforced profile is often used on the advice of specialists.

Everyone can be faced with a choice: what kind of fastening should you choose, so that it fits in all parameters and is the best for the window? It all depends on the type of window. So, if you need to close a plastic window with a mosquito net, then you need screws and fasteners, eight and four, respectively.

The first step to installing the mesh will be to measure it.

The next steps are as easy as the first one. You need to install the fasteners. Corner fasteners are installed in the corners of frames or doors, then non-corner fasteners are installed, at the same distance from each other.

To dismantle the mosquito net, it is necessary to grasp the plastic holders with both hands and pull them up in order to free the lower edge of the net. Then it needs to be rejected and the top is released. Turn the netting slightly and take it into the room.

As you can see from the description of dismantling and installation, there is nothing special that requires special knowledge. Even on a plastic window it is very easy to put on and take off the mosquito net. Therefore, if you read everything carefully, then this knowledge should be enough without contacting a specialist. You can do everything yourself without spending money on installation and dismantling.

How to install mosquito nets on windows

Those who live in Russia, especially in its middle zone, are very familiar with summer problems: mosquitoes, midges, all kinds of insects, as well as poplar fluff and the wind carrying dust. The high temperature in the apartment is also annoying, and as a consequence of this - stuffiness.

At the same time, insects and stuffiness are inextricably linked, since the infestation of midges and mosquitoes follows the stuffiness. And the fight, respectively, with insects is closely related to the fight against stuffiness in the apartment. After all, insects just want to fly into apartments and houses in uncountable quantities.

If we recall the not distant past of the inhabitants of cities and villages of our country, then it comes to mind old way salvation from annoying mosquitoes, flies and midges. And this method is gauze. Which helped out to some extent. Now the problem has been solved at the production level - mosquito nets have been released.

Nets from mosquitoes and all other troubles, like insects and dust, represent a structure that is quite strong and reliable, which is inserted into the openings of windows and vents.

What you need to pay attention to

Mosquito nets are fairly lightweight structures, so they can be easily attached to the frame and held in place using slots specially made for installation. For easier installation of the mesh, small handles are made on the sides.

Mosquito nets can be installed in window frames by employees of the company that installs windows, specialists in this matter, and the homeowners themselves.

In the process of work, one single difficulty may appear - the establishment of grooves for mosquito nets, where you need to insert them (If you have more modern windows, the kit does not include mounts for mosquito nets.

Mosquito nets are made of a material - extruded aluminum, which is a profile. And this mosquito net is fixed to the mosquito with a rubber cord. The cell, which is 1 square meter, prevents the passage of insects. mm (1mm x1 mm). In addition to beauty and neatness from an aesthetic point of view, the mosquito net also has an attractive side - it does not require any special care, it can be quickly removed, washed and put in place just as quickly and without problems.

Important information!

The company can offer a variety of color scheme aluminum mosquito net, except for the white, gray and already produced brown standard. At the request of the buyer, you can choose the color of the lattice to match the color of the house or the color of bricks and cladding. This helps to improve general view apartment building, but does not interfere with the passage of light and air into the premises of a separate apartment.

What does the installation of a mosquito net on the windows of an apartment or house give? By ordering and installing mosquito nets, you can permanently get rid of the dust of the city, poplar fluff, which seems to be omnipresent when scattering, from insects that haunt you day or night, and all the troubles associated with their appearance.

The manufacturer and installer of mosquito nets has provided two types of mosquito nets fastening, the choice of one of them or the other depends on the needs and wishes of the customer. And also on the quality of the setting of this window accessory. Opportunities are increasing daily. Everything is done in order to satisfy the tastes, wishes and possibilities of the client, as well as to improve the appearance of the windows, which influences the general impression of a city or a private house.

Installing a mosquito net: the correct and professional approach to business

In order to correctly and correctly install the mosquito net, it is necessary to take several successive steps: take the net by the handles on both sides, bring the upper fasteners behind the influx of the window frame and raise the net as far as possible until it stops.

Next, you need to pull the mesh a little towards you, hook the lower fastening in the form of hooks to the influx of the frame and install the mosquito net, aligning it already along the window, to the position of the fixed component of the entire window.

A simple method to remove the mosquito net from the frame

Even a person who is not very familiar with the grid device can cope with this work, who will just try to do it a couple of times.

To remove (dismantle) the mesh, you need to: take the mesh by the handles and slightly pull it up until the attachment selected for this mesh, i.e. the hooks at the top will not disengage from the overflow clutch. Then tilt it outward and lower it a little. The mount was disconnected and there was only one step left to do: to bring the mesh inside the room, with subsequent processing until the next season. As you can see, it's not tricky, even a teenager can handle it. If you understand a little how the fasteners work. Moreover, it is within the power of an adult, even regardless of gender. Women are now independent, and the devices that help simplify our existence are very convenient and easy to use.

Z-corners in mesh fastening are the safest and easiest method. In addition to practicality, it is also economically profitable - there is no need to spoil the metal-plastic frame if we install such a mount on it.

The only inconvenience of this type of fastener is that it is necessary to lean out of the window, install the fastening corners on the screws. It is very dangerous for a person who is not familiar with the operation of the device, does not have enough dexterity and strength to hold the weight with the instrument in his hands, and for those who have problems with the vegetative-vascular system, and who cannot stand heights.

How to attach a mosquito net to fasteners

1. First, read the relevant information on how to do it correctly, thoroughly familiarize yourself with how the fasteners will work, so that later, without stopping, calmly do the work from start to finish.

2. First, screw the upper mesh mount onto the screws.

3. It is necessary to measure from the influx of the window to the sides by 50 mm and mark these distances, making sure that there are marks everywhere at the same distance.

4. After that, you need to attach long fasteners to the marks and fasten them with screws.

Your attention: advice!

Choose screws with a length of no more than 20 mm so that the fastener holds well on one side and does not rest against the reinforcement.

If you do not have sufficient distance from the window overflow, i.e. there are no usual 50 mm, then measure the minimum distance on all sides of the window, and it should not be less than 30 mm, and put down marks everywhere. After installing and attaching the upper corners of the Z-shaped mount, you must install the lower corners of the mount. And here incomprehensible moments may already arise, since there are two options for attaching the upper corners in this method.

The first is option A

This option for attaching the lower corners is quite acceptable only if the owner of the apartment lives on the first floor or the mosquito net is installed with this type of fastening on the windows of a private house, i.e. where you can approach the window from the street. Otherwise, it is impractical to do it, because you need to carefully install the mounts and measure all the distances, and when suspended, it is very dangerous for the life of the person installing the mesh. The installation itself consists of the following steps: taking the mesh in hand and installing it in the upper mounts, we deflect the mesh towards ourselves, having previously raised it, and attach the lower edge of the mesh to the profile. Someone else should mark the bottom edge of the mosquito net.

Attention: important information!

During this time, when the helper makes marks, you must keep the mesh latched in the upper bindings. Then you can lower the mesh by 27 mm and make the bottom final marks to screw on the lower fasteners, shorter than the first, using screws.

The second is option B

This option can be used in all cases, it is simpler and safer, but it is especially applicable when it is impossible to approach the window from the outside and make marks, having previously attached a mosquito net to the window frame. This option is as follows: first, as in option A, it is necessary to fasten the upper mounts, then we measure the length of the mosquito net to a millimeter, adding another 27 mm, measure the distance from the end of the upper mount and mark this place. There we fasten the lower fasteners with screws of the appropriate length, which is described above.

The last step - the installation of the mosquito net itself is done simply: take the net by the handles attached to the frame, wind it over the upper mount, lift it slightly up so that you can bring the lower edge pulled towards you, bring it into the lower mount and lower the net back. We try to align it with the frame so that it does not jump off the installed mounts and is not skewed.

Attention to those who doubt that they can correctly and efficiently install a mosquito net: you can contact the company for installing the nets and call a specialist home who will do this work for you, for a fee. It is easier to pay for skilled labor than to endanger your life.

Installing a mosquito net yourself: how to do it

In the summer, during the period of the spread of insects that can fly into the apartment even through a small gap, it is usually sunny outside and you want to open the window and take a breath of fresh air. But insects make it problematic.

The usual "guests" in the summer period in houses and apartments with open windows are butterflies, beetles, moths, flies, mosquitoes, midges, various other representatives of the insect world, with whom it is not very pleasant to share their food and home. But their presence is not so dangerous as the diseases that they can bring.

In addition to insects, even small birds can fly into an apartment or a dusty suspension, which is saturated with city air, poplar fluff and other unpleasant accidents, can enter the apartment. There is still a way out: you need to mount a mosquito net on open windows. The mosquito net consists of a frame made of aluminum and the canvas itself, which is attached to the frame. There are handles that can be lifted when installing the net into the frame.

The frame of their aluminum profile can be painted to match the color scheme of the window, and the mesh can be left gray so that it does not stand out against the background of the window, for convenience.

There is nothing complicated in the design of a mosquito net, everything is very simple and it will not be difficult to understand it even for a teenager who can hold the tools in his hands. There should be no difficulty in installing it yourself. If you already had a mosquito net, but from time to time it was demolished, you can do it even easier - remove the dimensions from the old net and order a new one according to these dimensions.

You can buy a ready-made mesh at any finished product warehouse where window blocks, nets for windows and other accessories for a decent look of your window. It happens that a window is sold without components common for plastic windows. No mosquito net. In this case, you need a little more effort - you need to measure the opening of your window along the perimeter. Then, to the obtained measurements, add 3 centimeters at the top and bottom and on the sides by 2 centimeters. Having received the order, see if all the accessories are available - two fasteners have been added to the mosquito net: an upper and a lower one.

The top and bottom bindings are different, the top bindings are slightly wider than the bottom bindings. It is important to distinguish between them, because when installing the window, the mount will only hold the mesh correctly and securely if it is installed correctly. A very important point is also for fixing the mount and the net.

Then you need a fastener, which is attached at the bottom, attach it from below so that the mosquito net is 1.5 cm below the window opening, so that there is no gap and nothing gets into the window. After that, the top mount must be positioned and secured to the top of the window.

Attention! Read carefully!

In order to correctly find the edge of the upper attachment, it is necessary to measure the length of the mesh from the lower attachment and add 1 cm to this size, this will be the lower border of the upper attachment.

The mesh is easy to insert. To do this, carefully pull the mesh out of the room, lift it up, pull it towards you and slowly lower it to the bottom mount, until the mesh fits well into the grooves and attaches to the mount.

In the same way, you can put mosquito nets on wooden frames, only there is a necessary requirement for the frames. So that the mesh is intact and does not break, it is necessary that the frames open inward, and not outward. It is also necessary that there are no irregularities on the frame, otherwise the mesh will sit unevenly.

The mosquito net can be installed in two ways

The first way to equip a window with a mosquito net is to fit the net into the internal fasteners. First, we take it by the handles and tilt it a little, put it behind the window opening in the upper part and raise it all the way.

Then we pull the lower edge of the mesh in our direction and put the mesh inward, behind the lower inflow of the frame, placing the bottom of the mesh in the lower mount. After such setting manipulations, we align the mesh with the frame.

The second method is as follows: the mosquito net is installed using Z-shaped fasteners that are attached to the outside of the frame. This method, of course, is more reliable, but for an unprepared person, not a professional, it is more dangerous.

Important information!

To install the Z-shaped fasteners on the mosquito net, you must be on the outside of the window. The upper corners are strengthened first, then the lower ones.

Mosquito net: is it worth the time setting it up?

Nobody wants to do extra work, especially if all this is someone else's. Installing or not installing a grid on your personal window is an easy dilemma. Summertime brings us not only the summer sun, apples and strawberries, but also clouds of mosquitoes, midges and other harmful and not-so-harmful midges, beetles and spiders. And also heaps of dust, fluff and any suspension in the air. Talk about the dangers of bites from mosquitoes and other insects, after which combed wounds remain,

Fine dust that has flown into the window, getting into food, or even into the lungs from inhaling it in the room, causes allergic reactions. To prevent this from happening, you need to install mosquito nets, which will protect both from insects and from dust. The mole is also not a very pleasant human neighbor. Harmful not only to human health, but also harm to his wallet. And this is one more argument to decide and order a mosquito net.

The mosquito and fluff net consists of an aluminum frame with a mosquito net suspended and attached to it. The frame is made of aluminum, and the small mesh mosquito net is made of strong metal wire.

The color of the grid and the frame are different. Usually the mesh is left unpainted or painted gray, and the frame is painted to match the color of the window, but all this is to the taste and desire of the owner. The aesthetic side is, of course, important, but the main thing for which the mesh is put is to protect the house from insects and dust.

The net has another function that is not always remembered - it is protection from plant fluff. It is just during the flowering period that it is important to use it.

The mosquito net protects from dust, leaves flying in the wind, large and smaller suspended particles, as well as from accidental falling out of the window of pets and small children, although children need to be monitored so that they do not climb onto the windowsill.

The good and convenient quality of mosquito nets is that you don't need to take special care of it. Once or twice, of course, you need to rinse it a year, with warm water and soapy water, wipe it dry and put it to dry in places where there is no dust. You can use any detergent instead of soap.

It is very easy and simple to process the mosquito net, because it is very easy to remove and put a clean one back on. Even the manufacture of a mosquito net is not a technologically complicated process, therefore it is not difficult to make it yourself, the main thing is to have a desire and a little material.

Indeed, for self-made mesh does not require any special knowledge, no expensive tools. And you also don’t need to spend as much money as it can take to order and manufacture a mosquito net from window and screen manufacturers and install it by specialists from these companies. Self-made mesh will cost much cheaper and more attractive - after all, you will put your skill and soul into it.

You can literally install a mosquito net very quickly - from half an hour to an hour and a half. Sometimes it only takes a few minutes. And a mosquito net is installed on all sorts of doors and windows. The time for setting up the mosquito net is calculated depending on the complexity of the installation.

Experts say that a mosquito net is installed on a standard metal-plastic window within 1-2 days.

In the event that the old mosquito net no longer fits, or it has become unusable. It is better to measure its dimensions and order exactly the same new one. Here main question gets up - where to order the mesh. Best of all, you can order from the company from which you bought the windows. Sometimes there are spare options in stock. But if you want to save money, then there is an easier way out. Often in wholesale warehouses, where manufacturers buy all the missing items, they sometimes sell components to private individuals. If you buy a mosquito net separately and a frame separately or a profile and make a mosquito net yourself, it will be more cost-effective.

If you do everything according to step by step instructions, then you can easily cope with the manufacture and installation of a self-made mosquito net.

Step-by-step instructions for making a mesh yourself

You installed the windows just before winter and did not order a mosquito net with the meltalloplastic windows? Don't worry, although measurements can be taken, it will be somewhat more difficult than measuring a mesh.

1. Do everything as described here and there will be no problems with flying insects. First you need to open the frame that you want to cover with a mosquito net.

2. When the frame opening opens in front of your eyes, it must be measured along the perimeter: measure the height and width of the frame opening.

3. After you have measured, add 3 centimeters to the height on both sides, and two to the sides. 4. When making an order, if you decide to order a mesh, you are obliged to give not only it itself, but also the accessories: fasteners for installing the frame.

5. The kit will include two mounting hardware, including up and down hardware.

6. You need to pay attention so as not to confuse that the upper fastening device fastening bar wider than the bottom.

7. The next step is to correctly and correctly position the fasteners on the frame and fasten with screws.

8.In order for everything to work out correctly, you must first install the lower mount, which will be on the outside of the frame and should be positioned so that the lower edge of the mosquito net, which sits in the mounting slots, would be 1.5 cm below the edge of the frame ...

9.There should be a top mount on the top of the frame.

10.To determine the location of the upper attachment, it is necessary to measure the length of the net plus one centimeter from the lower attachment. It is easy to insert the mesh when the mounts are in place.

11.To insert a frame with a mosquito net, you need to pull the mesh out, insert the upper edge into the upper mount, then pull the frame to the window frame and gently lower it down until the lower edge is installed in the lower mount.

12. You can put a mosquito net on a wooden window frame, the main thing for this is that there are no protrusions on the frame that would spoil the net and prevent it from snuggling to the frame.

13.There are certain design features that can break the mesh.

14. You can install the mosquito net using two methods of fastening, the choice of the type of fastening depends on the quality of the window installation and the customer's preferences.

15. Installation of the net with the help of internal fixings. Used on plastic windows.

16. The first step in installing the net is to grab the frame by the handles, pull it out, insert the hook-like attachment behind the window top edge, and lift the frame all the way.

17. the second step in setting the net is to put the bottom edge of the frame with hooks behind the bottom overhang of the window frame and lower the net to the bottom of the frame attachment.

18. The last thing to do is to align the mesh so that it is level and tidy relative to the window.

The second method of attaching the mosquito net frame is with Z-brackets.

19.This fastening begins by attaching the top mount to the screws.

20. next - from the edge of the upper bead on both sides of the window frame, you need to measure 50 mm and mark these places. We attach the top mount to the marks and securely attach with screws.

21. The length of the screws should be no more than 20 mm, large screws can rest against the frame reinforcement.

22. After the upper parts of the mount are installed, you can proceed to the fastening of the lower mounts. The bottom brackets can be installed in two ways.

23. First way - external, i.e. when you can go outside to the window. Then you need to insert the upper edge of the frame with the net into the upper mount, raise it and pull it towards you in order to attach the frame, its lower edge to the frame profile.

24. The assistant, whose location is desirable in this case, so that the marks are not skewed, marks the bottom edge of the frame, putting marks. After that, you can put the lower mount to the frame using these marks and screw it with screws.

25. If you do not live on the ground floor and there is no way to approach the frame from the outside, for example, from the balcony, then you can use the second method of fastening.

26. After you have already attached the upper mount, you can put the length of the mosquito net plus 27 mm down from it, put a mark at a measured distance and attach the lower mount.

27. After the lower mount is already secured with screws, you need to bring the frame out, holding it by the handles, fasten it to the upper mount, lower the frame, pulling the bottom edge of the mosquito net to the lower mount and fixing it in the mount, install the mesh.

Fastening of this type is recognized as the most reliable and strong, however, this is also the most dangerous activity - this method of fastening, since you need to protrude outward in order to secure the upper fastening to the screws, and this requires certain physical qualities: strength, dexterity and some others.

After the grid is installed, you can rejoice fresh air and not be afraid of mosquitoes, flies, or other insects, as well as dust and fluff.

Mosquito nets: how to install them

A very useful invention - mosquito nets have become part of our life. They protect us from harmful and simply annoying insects such as mosquitoes, midges, and other insects. Air passes through the mesh, but dust remains on the street, which is also very important for the health of the family living in the apartment. Therefore, more and more often the question arises: how to install mosquito nets? You can find out the answer by reading this information.

Installation of a mosquito net on the window

To install the mosquito net on your own, you must have 4 fasteners and two self-tapping screws for each fastener (8 pieces). It is also necessary to remove the dimensions from the mosquito net. Next, you need to transfer the markings by attaching the grid to the window. Angular and non-angled fasteners are fastened differently. Corner - in the corners of the frame, and non-corner - in the center of the side parts of the frame.

Important information!

The upper fasteners must be installed above the upper corner of the mesh at a distance of 12 mm to ensure that the mesh enters the mount. A screwdriver is used to tighten the screws.

Removing the mosquito net is very simple, just a few movements are enough for this. It is necessary to take the net by the handles, slightly lift it vertically upward until the upper edge of the net is freed from the fasteners, then slowly - downward, until the lower fastening is detached from the net. Then, turning the mesh a little, bring it into the room.

Installing a mosquito net on the door

The installation of a mosquito net on the doors of the veranda, balcony, terrace, provides fastening: hinges, clamping mechanisms and magnets.

Before installation, the places where the hinges will be attached are first marked, and then they are already screwed in with self-tapping screws, fixing on the window profile.

Later, the mesh is put on loops and secured by clamping mechanisms. At the end of the installation, small magnets are attached to fix the frame with the mesh and ensure a snug fit.

How to put a mosquito net on plastic windows

Summertime brings us not only sea joys, strawberries and a lot of tasty things, but also clouds of midges, mosquitoes, flies and all kinds of insects with which we do not really want to live in the same room. That's why the best solution of all that can be taken at such a time of the year is the decision to install mosquito nets on the windows and get rid of all the invited guests for the summer.

How to make a mosquito net yourself, along with all the fasteners, you can learn from this article.

DIY mosquito nets: step one - fastening for nets

It's good if you have a mosquito net with a -shaped mount that is waiting in the wings. Here's what you can do:

1. It is necessary to take a mosquito net and turn the fastener to face you. Moreover, it should be noted that the mount at the bottom and top differ from each other. Turn the net over with the big bindings facing up. This will be the correct position of the grid.

2. With all your strength, you need to grasp the vertically positioned handles on the mesh, which are made of either metal or plastic.

3. Install the sash on the window opening in a place specially prepared for the mesh and fixing the frame with mesh.

4. Place the upper hook behind the protruding upper part of the window, raising the net as high as possible.

5.In the raised state, bring the lower hooks behind the lower ridge of the window and gently lower the net.

Here is the easiest way to install a mosquito net, moreover, in the case when you already have all the fasteners. But this method is not suitable for all windows, especially plastic ones.

Securing the grid structure to the window

Consider another way of attaching the mesh to the window using plastic corners.

The fastening method is not new and not universal, but if you have plastic windows, then it can be considered. Better yet, study and research.

The fasteners are installed on the window directly, and not on the frame of the mosquito net.

You need to follow these steps:

Measure everything you need for work.

Put on the plastic windows all the necessary marks for the plastic corners so that you know where to attach them.

With the help of self-tapping screws, you need to attach the plastic corners to the window frames, taking into account the reserves.

The next step is to install a mosquito net, which is installed in the same way as the previous one, first fixing the upper fasteners, then the lower ones.

Installing a mosquito net on the doorway

Mosquito nets that are installed on the doors can be divided into: freely hanging and those that are fixed in frames for nets.

There is one complication in installing a mosquito net on a door: it is almost impossible to install it yourself. In any case, it will be very difficult to do this.

The thing is that they supply components only for specialists, in sets for them to an ordinary person it will be very difficult to figure it out.

Important information!

For example, you can take mosquito nets with a frame, then they need to be fixed in the same way as the doors.

And if the mesh is hanging freely, then it is fixed with magnets along the entire perimeter of the door, connecting in the middle with a magnetic fastener.

Such work can be done preferably by professionals, it will be safer and more reliable, and if the mesh turns out to be defective, then you will also be refunded or redone the money.

The kit with a door mosquito structure includes two handles and a magnetic latch. In some cases, the door is very high, so you can put one or two imposts there.

The installation time is very different. You can install a mosquito net in fifteen minutes, or in two hours. It all depends on the complexity of the design.

Attaching mosquito nets: features

If you decide to install a mosquito net on a window or door, then it will differ little from those already described earlier, but there are several points that you need to remember:

Product, i.e. the mesh, when installing, must be wound over the upper surface;

When the mesh is raised to the maximum height, you need to wind its lower corner behind the lower guide;

Then you just need to lower the mesh smoothly.

The installation process itself takes a little time - up to half an hour.

If you have a regular, factory, standard mesh, then it can be installed in a couple of minutes.

But a mesh with a Z-shaped mount, then the installation time will already be a little longer - up to half an hour, because here the structure is more complex.

Attention: useful information!

The most reliable mount is considered to be a metal mount. These fasteners serve for a very long time: they do not crack, do not deteriorate from the weather or other temperature changes, they can withstand the most frosty winters.

Reliability is expressed in the fact that metal fasteners hold the mesh even in the strongest gust of wind, unlike plastic fasteners, which pop out from a gust of wind and do not hold the mesh.

An interesting design of a mosquito net is a roller-type net. It is installed only by two people, but it is better to give this right to specialists, since at the slightest mistake the mesh will end up on the ground or components will be lost.

You can also say about one more feature of this complex design... The mesh is twisted when removed. It curls when removed from magnets, when removing the mesh from a window, or in some other cases. If there is nothing to hold the mesh and it begins to twist and unwind many times, then this complex structure will soon become unusable.

At the end of the article, we can say that if you do not have the easiest version of attaching a mosquito net, then you can happily trust the specialists in order to be calm and not worry that everything will fail tomorrow.
