A fence made of profiled sheet on brick pillars. Fence made of brick and corrugated board

For brick houses, it is sometimes difficult to choose the material for the fence. A solid brick fence will look too massive, and a wooden one may simply not fit into the architecture of the building. In such cases, combined designs come to the rescue.

A fence made of brick and profiled sheet will harmoniously fit into the architecture of brick and block buildings. Such a fence is considered one of the most durable. The popularity of brick and corrugated fences is ensured by the good compatibility of these materials. A quality fencing is worth the money you have to invest in it.

Construction and material of the fence

To facilitate construction, it is necessary to draw up detailed plan further work. The project must take into account all the features of the construction, material and landscape of the site. Among other things, the following features must be taken into account:

  • the fence should not go beyond the land holdings;
  • on sections with a slope, individual sectors of the fence are mounted in pieces to preserve one system;
  • the length of the spans between the brick supports, where the corrugated board is mounted, should be from 3 meters.

After drawing up a work plan, it is necessary to prepare everything for the construction of the fence. The minimum set of tools includes:

  • welding equipment;
  • drill,
  • concrete mixer
  • shovel;
  • crowbar and a set of screwdrivers;
  • construction scissors.

For spans between brick racks, polyvinyl chloride sheets are used. The material does not corrode and is designed for long-term operation. There are several dimensional rulers of corrugated board; C10 and 8 are most often used for the fence. Minimum thickness sheets 0.5 mm.

Today they are producing great amount corrugated board with various patterns and colors, including those with brick ornaments. You can order corrugated board with wood imitation or matching brick house on your site.

Start of construction

The construction of a fence from a profiled sheet begins with a marking. You also need to do detailed drawing fence. In addition, it is worth calculating the number of posts and the length of the spans between them.

A short plan for the construction of a brick and corrugated fence includes:

  • measurements of the site;
  • foundation preparation;
  • installation of brick supports;
  • fasteners for corrugated board.

After studying the features of the site and leveling the soil, mark out a place for future columns. Stakes and thread are used as landmarks. In place of future brick supports, small wooden pegs are driven in and a thread is pulled over them.

For simple fence one brick thick masonry is enough. Such pillars are reinforced with fittings and a pipe, which is installed with inside fence.

Soil preparation

Brick in combination with corrugated board have considerable weight. Therefore, a fence made of such materials requires a strip foundation. A shallow (from 30 cm) trench is dug under it. Its width and height depends on the weight and thickness of the future fence.

To prepare the foundation site, the fence is removed from the soil upper layer soil. For such work, you should not hire special vehicles. It's easier to do it yourself or hire a couple of workers. Workers will dig a small trench with a volume of 4 cubic meters or more in 6 hours with interruptions.

At self-construction fence, all work can be performed in several approaches.

Note! The top layer of soil, removed under the foundation of the fence, may be needed for fertilization or further improvement of the site.

Formwork

The formwork for the foundation of the fence is assembled for the basement below ground level by 15-20 cm. For this, a slab or any other wood recyclable material is used. The assembly of the formwork starts from the top board.

For strength, reinforcing bars are mounted in the formwork, with a section of 1 cm and a step from 1 to 1.5 m. When the bars are fastened with reinforcing wire 1 mm thick, a frame will be obtained. It is lowered to the bottom of the formwork.

In order for the brick pillars of the fence to sit firmly in the foundation, metal pipes or corners are installed in the formwork in place of future pillars. They are also attached to reinforcement mesh... They are fixed with boards and leveled.

The distance between the vertical rods is 1 m, and the horizontal ones are 10 cm from the bottom and 5 from the top of the foundation. The reinforcement rods are overlapped.

Pouring the foundation

The mortar for pouring the foundation of the fence is kneaded in a concrete mixer. The installation should stand next to the formwork. It is best to dilute only half of the solution from the volume of the concrete mixer. This speeds up the process and reduces the workload of the installation.

Note! To improve the frost-resistant qualities of concrete at the mixing stage, it is recommended to add household liquid soap to it (10 ml per bucket of solution).

The mortar can be made without using a concrete mixer. To do this, you need a container with a volume of 100 liters and a sheet of steel. 3 buckets of cement and a bucket of sand are poured into the container and mixed with a rake. At this time, the bucket is poured clean water and liquid soap is added until a dense, rich foam is formed. When a lot of foam forms, the water is poured into sand and cement. Immediately 6 buckets of rubble are poured into the resulting arrogance and mixed.

Concrete made in this way has a lower strength. But for a foundation for a fence, these indicators are suitable. The preparation time for the mixture according to this recipe takes from 30 minutes.

After pouring the solution into the formwork, it is covered with polyethylene. The film is removed after about 7-10 days. This is to prevent the concrete from cracking from dry air. Also, the film will protect the concrete from rain.

Erection of pillars

To fix bricks for fence posts, use a cement-sand mortar (1: 3). To make the mixture more viscous and elastic, add a small amount of liquid soap... Every day, masonry can be erected to a height of no more than half a meter. Each row of bricks is laid with a reinforcing mesh.

The height of the fence posts is individual - it depends on the thickness and load of the corrugated board, the design and height of the fence. To attach the corrugated board to the posts, use a special plate and corners at three points: in the center, below and at the very top.

The height of the fence depends on the design of the site, the wind load and the height of the profiled sheets.

Cover assembly

The fence with rectangular, brick pillars looks unfinished. At the end of the installation of the pillars, galvanized covers are mounted on them. In addition to the aesthetic function, the element has a protective function. The cover is attached to the fence post with dowels.

If the fence supports are built of concrete, then concrete covers are used. When choosing them, you should pay attention to the pigment - it must be mineral. Such paint does not lose its saturation from contact with the environment. The concrete covers are fixed to the fence posts using a sand and cement mortar.

Frame

After the foundation of the future fence has dried, they begin to assemble the frame for corrugated board. To do this, use metal pipe... It is cut with a grinder and rectangular frames are welded with a welding machine. The finished frame of the fence spans is painted with alkyd enamel.

After installing the frames on the fence posts, corrugated board is attached to them. To do this, use special fasteners that exclude metal corrosion.

Before starting work on the construction of the fence, the foundation should be closed with cardboard. This will prevent damage to the profiled panels. Marks on the places where the screws are screwed in are marked with a felt-tip pen. Fasteners are carried out through one wave with galvanized self-tapping screws 4.8x30 mm. The connection of the sheets on the fence is overlapped.

During the work, certain difficulties may arise. The following tricks will help you avoid a lot of installation mistakes:

  • strip foundation during the installation of the corrugated board, they are covered with cardboard so as not to bend the metal sheets;
  • self-tapping screws are used approximately 6 pieces per 1 m 2;
  • sheets of corrugated board are laid with an overlap;
  • corrugated board is mounted with a drill at low power;
  • through one wave, rubber gaskets are used on the fasteners.

Installation of an average fence, up to 20 meters long, takes approximately 12-15 days. The construction of such a fence includes many subtleties, therefore, it is better to entrust such work as the installation of brick pillars to a professional. But you can handle the installation of corrugated sheets yourself. This will require the ability to work with a drill. The connection of structural elements is not difficult.

Outcomes

Before starting work, you need to decide on the design of the fence. Then work is carried out on the construction of the foundation and the construction of brick supports. Just on the last stage work, a frame is being constructed, to which the corrugated board is screwed.

When performing work, it is important to consider a few tips experienced builders... For example, do not tighten the screws with a drill set at high speed. It is also worth remembering that it is better to entrust the laying of bricks to an experienced specialist. In the event of an error, the strength of the entire fence will be in question.

A fence made of corrugated board has recently become more and more popular. This aesthetically pleasing material is relatively cheap, which makes it possible to build a solid fence for a summer residence for a relatively small amount.

There are several options for the implementation of such fences, but the fence made of corrugated board with brick pillars is especially beautiful and reliable.

There are several options for making such fences, but especially with brick pillars, which every owner can build with his own hands.

Choosing a corrugated board for a fence

Sheets of corrugated board have different purposes: roofing, for supporting structures, for finishing facades.

Sheets of corrugated board have different purposes: roofing, for supporting structures, for finishing facades. To build with your own hands reliable fence for a summer residence, you should buy a wall profiled sheet. Prices for it are minimal, and the quality of the material allows you to get a strong and durable fence. Sheet coverage is important. You should not purchase material without polymer painting, since without this protective layer, rust spots will soon appear on the fence. Uncoated copper or aluminum corrugated sheet does not corrode, but the cost of this material is quite high. Therefore, the best option would be to use a galvanized profile or sheet with a polymer colored coating in the construction of a fence for a summer residence.

Its thickness plays an important role. This is an indicator of the material's resistance to adverse influences. the environment and mechanical damage. The smaller the thickness, the lower the price of the metal profile. In order for the fence to serve for many years and does not require annual seasonal repairs, you should buy sheets with a thickness of at least 0.6 mm. If you focus on the brand of corrugated board, then C8, C10, C13, C18 and C21 meet these requirements. Color solution each host chooses according to their preferences. You should pay attention to the thickness polymer coating... The larger it is, the less chips and the need to touch up scratches and other flaws will be.

Foundation device for a fence with brick pillars

Most often, an MZL is erected - a shallow strip foundation. It's easy to do it yourself.

for a summer residence - a special structure. It requires a monolithic strip foundation. Most often, an MZL is erected - a shallow strip foundation. It's easy to do it yourself. Such a base for the pillars is located above the freezing point of the soil and is a solid concrete line along the entire perimeter of the fence.

Stages of construction of MZL

  1. The plot is being marked. At the corner points, pegs are installed by hand, a cord is pulled between them.
  2. The width of the tape should correspond to the thickness of the brick pillar that will be installed on it. But you can choose more economical option: make the tape wider under the posts, and narrower under the corrugated board spans. All parameters of the future fence must be foreseen and calculated in advance.
  3. A trench is dug along the marking lines. Its depth must be at least 70 cm. The bottom of the ditch must be tamped. For this, a simple device is made: a wooden block of the required length, to which handles are nailed.
  4. The next stage is filling sand pillow height 20 cm. It should be poured with water and tamped thoroughly. The purpose of the pillow is to prevent deformation of the foundation when it freezes.

Reinforcement of concrete tape

  1. Reinforcement plays an important role in the MZL device. The reinforcement must be connected to each other with a wire and laid in two layers. In this case, the foundation will be durable. It is best to assemble the reinforcing frame on the ground, and lower it into the trench after installing the formwork.
  2. If the dacha site has a slope or large differences in height, then making a concrete tape of the same height level will be too costly and time-consuming. Therefore, it is best to make a stepped base, which at regular intervals repeats the features of the relief. In this case, the reinforcing structures of each "step" cannot be connected with each other, as this will lead to deformation of the foundation during the freezing of the soil.

Plinth formwork

  1. We build the formwork with our own hands: the height of the basement is chosen by the owner of the site independently, but it must be at least 10 cm. If the foundation is stepped, then the formwork must also repeat its shape. As building material a semi-edged board is used. They should be reinforced with bridges, since the concrete pressure will be high.
  2. When the formwork is installed and reinforcement cage lowered into a trench, pipes or corners are installed in the places where brick pillars are erected. This will strengthen the construction of future brick supports.

Preparation and pouring of concrete

  1. The concrete mixer should be installed in such a way that the mortar from the throat is poured directly into the trench.
  2. The composition of the solution: 1 part of cement M400, 3 parts of sand, 6 parts of medium-fraction crushed stone, 0.7 parts of water.
  3. To increase the frost resistance and plasticity of concrete, special additives are added to it. But you can improve the quality of the solution in a fairly simple way: add 10 ml of liquid soap to a bucket of water.
  4. After pouring the foundation, the concrete is covered plastic wrap. Further work you can start no earlier than in 2-3 days.

If it is decided to prepare the solution manually, then the sequence for setting the ingredients will be different:

  1. A bucket of cement and 3 buckets of sand are poured into a container of at least 100 liters. The mixture is thoroughly mixed with a shovel.
  2. An empty bucket is poured into the right amount liquid soap and filled with water from a hose. It is advisable to ensure that there is as much lather as possible. Then the water is poured into a container with sand and cement. Everything is thoroughly mixed.
  3. 6 buckets of rubble are laid, and the mixture is thoroughly mixed again.

Installation of a metal frame for a fence made of corrugated board with brick pillars

Construction of brick pillars

The erection of the pillars takes place in turn: in one working day, each of them can be built up to 0.5 m.

In order to build the pillars, you will need facing brick... This work can be done with your own hands, but it is advisable to attract an assistant, since with him the speed of erecting supports will significantly increase. In advance, you should decide on the height and dimensions of the brick pillars. Most often they are made with a height of 2-2.5 m in 1.5 bricks. Pillars are erected around pipes or corners pre-installed in the formwork.

Used for brickwork cement mortar 1: 3, where 1 part of cement M400 and 3 parts of sand. The erection of the pillars takes place in turn: in one working day, each of them can be built up to 0.5 m. The gaps between the pipe (corner) and the bricks are laid with cement mortar. Each row of masonry is reinforced with 50 * 50 * 4 reinforcing masonry tape. A cap (cover) is installed on each brick pillar, which are more expressive and will give the whole structure a finished look. In addition, the covers will protect the supports from water.

DIY installation of corrugated sheets

To fix the profiled sheet, it is best to use roofing screws with the same color coating as the metal profile.

Sheets of cardboard should be placed on the concrete tape so that during installation they do not damage the lower edge of the corrugated board. To make the fence beautiful and neat, mark the attachment points in advance with a marker. For this purpose, it is best to use roofing screws with the same color coating as the metal profile. The sheets are joined with an overlap by one wave. A drill or screwdriver must be used at low speeds so as not to overtighten the screws, otherwise the corrugated board will be deformed and dents will remain on it. In addition, when working at high speeds, the cutting edge of the self-tapping screws heats up and grinds. After the installation of the brick profiled sheet is completed, it will be ready.

A brick fence is the most solid and high-quality structure, the only drawback of which is its high cost.

To reduce the cost of the project, it is advisable to combine brick with inexpensive, but no less durable materials.

Consider the construction of a fence made of brick and corrugated board with our own hands in detail and step by step.

Choice of design and materials

Before making a brick and corrugated fence, you need to draw up a project with a description design features and the location of the fence.

When drawing up a plan, you need to adhere to the following recommendations:

  • The distance between the brick pillars of the corrugated board fence (span width) should be not less than 3 meters.
  • The fence is placed strictly in accordance with the plan of the land plot.
  • On sloping terrain, individual sections are divided into sections with differences in height.

To make a brick and profiled sheet fence yourself, you will need:
  • Concrete mixer,
  • Welding machine,
  • Crowbar and shovel,
  • Drill, electric drill and screwdriver,
  • Screwdrivers,
  • Scissors for metal.

Profiled sheets made of polyvinyl chloride create a strong fence that is not subject to corrosion and wear.

Painted with modern paints and varnishes Decking under a brick does not lose color for a long time, which can be matched to the tone of the building.

Construction stages

Construction of corrugated fences with brick pillars occurs in stages:

  • The perimeter of the site is measured,
  • The foundation is being prepared,
  • Columns are made,
  • Profiled sheets are fixed.

Click to enlarge

The construction of a fence made of corrugated board with brick posts begins with the designation of the exact location of the elements.

At the places of the future corners of the fence, you need to put pegs and pull a nylon thread over them.

The narrowest fence from corrugated board with brick posts is built in one brick thick, and a profile pipe is installed for reinforcement.

Every second row brickwork reinforced with steel mesh.

Earthworks

A brick and profiled sheet fence is installed on a strip foundation.

To save on transport, the top layer of soil can be dumped and used as fertilizer on the site.

The volume of soil will be only about three cubic meters, so an expensive excavator will not be needed to carry out land work. Handicraft are carried out with shovels and bayonets, scrap is also useful.

If the soil is not rocky, two workers will dig a trench with a volume of about 4 cubic meters in 5 hours, taking into account the smoke breaks.

Formwork manufacturing

When a trench for a brick fence with a profiled sheet has already been dug, you can immediately start formwork. It is assembled only for the basement part and is installed 10-20 cm below ground level. A durable and inexpensive semi-edged board will do.

The assembly of the formwork begins before the foundation is poured with additional fastening of the boards with wooden lintels and brick props. Shields are assembled directly into the trench, starting from the top board.

For further reinforcement of the foundation, 10 mm reinforcing rods are needed, which are installed in the trench every 1.5 meters.

The assembled frame, fastened with a wire 1 mm thick, is lowered into the formwork.

To strengthen the pillars made of bricks, a corner or pipes are mounted in the formwork, when the frame made of rods and the formwork are completely ready. They are leveled and fixed with boards.

Foundation preparation and laying

The thickness of the foundation can be different: under the pillars, the width can be planned, and under the corrugated board, it can be narrowed. Thus, you can reduce the amount of earthwork and save concrete. True, then it is much more difficult to assemble the formwork..

The optimum depth of the base for the fence posts is the depth of soil freezing, that is, about a meter.

Under the sheets of corrugated board, where the fence will experience lower loads, the depth of the foundation is reduced to half a meter.

Depending on the relief, the foundation for the fence is poured in different ways. The most difficult is considered.

To build a fence, you will need to use a concrete mixer:

After pouring, the concrete is covered with polyethylene so that the surface dries evenly with the base. In warm weather, complete stripping is carried out after 7 to 10 days.

Brick stacks with cement-sand mortar in a ratio of 1 to 3, and a little liquid soap is added for its plasticity.

A variety of brick masonry

Every day, they lay no more than 0.5 meters in height, filling at the same time the gap between the metal post and the brick.

For strength, each row is reinforced with a special mesh.

When building a fence made of brick and corrugated board with your own hands, you need to remember that the distance between brick supports should not exceed 3 meters.

The height of the fence depends on the design of the site, the wind load and the height of the profiled sheets.

Fastening the fence, brick pillars and profiled sheet, use embedded plates and corners in the center, above and below each column.

Alternatively, you can do. This design will be much more reliable and will last longer.

For reliable fastening of a 3-meter sheet, 3 lags are enough.

More detailed instructions and a description of all types of foundations for a fence made of corrugated board you will find.

Installing covers

On top of a fence made of profiled sheet with pillars made of bricks, galvanized steel covers are installed, which will give a finished look to the pillars and protect them from water. They are attached to the bottom of the dowels to the brick.

When choosing concrete covers, pay attention to those colored with mineral pigments.

This paint does not wash off, and the color does not fade over time. They are laid on columns with a cement-sand mortar.

Assembling the frame

After 2 days of settling the concrete in the formwork, a frame is assembled from a shaped pipe, to which the corrugated board will be attached.

The pipe is cut into pieces of the required length, on which marks are put at the attachment points horizontal pipes... The correct position of the pipe is checked with a level.

The assembly of the frame is carried out by 2 workers. After welding, the frame is painted with alkyd enamel.

The final stage

  • The installation of a fence made of corrugated board and brick is completed with the installation of a profiled sheet.
  • Previously, the foundation is covered with cardboard so as not to damage the lower edge of the sheet.
  • Places of screwing in screws are marked with a calculation of 6 pieces per meter.
  • The corrugated board is attached with a drill at low speed to the profile pipe in the lower part through each wave using rubber gaskets. The sheets are overlapped.

A 15-meter brick fence with corrugated board is erected in about 2 weeks. Beautiful fence made of brick and corrugated board it is quite possible to install it with your own hands, and attract a specialist only to install brick pillars and make a frame.

Now you know how to build a brick and corrugated fence. Such a fence is not as affordable as a fence made of one profiled sheet, but the installation of fences made of corrugated board with brick posts is done for beautiful design with a combination of reliability and long service life.

A fence made of brick and corrugated board will be a good solution in design country house and a highlight in landscaping.

Features and Benefits

The fence is necessary in order to enclose your own territory, hide the area from prying eyes from the street side, avoid the penetration of unwanted guests in the form of domestic and wild animals, as well as criminal elements.

At the same time, the fence gives integrity to the design of the entire site. For example, if the house is brick or tiled with bricks, and the roof is covered with metal tiles, then a fence made of brick pillars and ceilings to match the roof will become another stylish element in the ensemble of the site.

Standards and regulations

To erect a fence, you must adhere to building codes and regulations (SNiP). Failure to comply with them can lead to administrative liability in the form of a fine. There are also rules related to compliance with fire and sanitary standards. These standards determine the distances that must be observed when building a fence. The distances are connected with the conduction of underground gas, water supply and above-ground buildings.

An important role is played by the height of the fence. On the border of neighboring areas, the device of solid barriers is prohibited. This is due to the fact that a blank fence will shade the neighboring territory. To resolve this issue, the obligatory consent of neighbors is required, not only verbally, but also in writing with the involvement of witnesses. The height of the building, as well as other dimensions, can be found in the municipal regulations by calling or visiting your local office.

Self-seizure of territory is prohibited by law. The fence can only be built on the property that is owned.

Be sure to have a certificate of ownership and a land plot plan. If you want to increase the plot, the land must be redeemed and the relevant documents obtained.

Varieties

It is necessary to take into account that a brick fence will look like a medieval structure - powerful and cumbersome. In addition, this will entail unjustified financial costs.

The width of the masonry in half a brick is completely unreliable and will quickly collapse. For good adhesion, the masonry must be laid at least in a brick, while constantly reinforcing with iron rods or mesh vertically and horizontally. If you count the number of bricks to get around at least 6 acres, then it will be enough to build a house.

The construction of a fence using corrugated board is more economical, but no less strict and stylish option construction of fencing. The overlap of the profiled sheet has a large windage. To achieve reliability, this material needs a reliable skeleton to which it will be attached. Brick pillars will serve good fastening and reinforcement for the skeleton, as well as give the object solidity and power. The design possibilities are endless.

Calculations

Before the start installation works a fence project is made, a plan is drawn up and the amount of material (brick, corrugated board) required for construction is calculated.

After choosing the material, a drawing is made. It takes into account what tools are available for conducting construction works and what materials are available or need to be purchased for this. Their availability will depend on technological process installation. That is, the quality of editing will be the same, it will simply be performed different ways and using a variety of materials.

These tools include:

  • concrete mixer;
  • welding machine;
  • an electric generator (in the absence of electricity).

If some tools are not available, then some metal parts can be replaced with wooden ones.

When calculating the installation work, it is necessary to take into account not only material capabilities, but also the availability of electrical supply and natural resources on site or nearby. These resources include water, sand, clay, crushed stone. The condition of the soil where the fence will be installed is also taken into account. If the site is new, then they carry out preliminary landscape and communication work. on their own or using heavy equipment. It is more convenient and saves energy and costs in the future.

When the site is already built up and has significant differences in the relief, then it is divided into several parts. The parts will have a span length of 3 meters in most cases. The span length can be increased to a maximum of 6 meters due to the large windage of the corrugated board. At the request of the owner and if the terrain permits, the fence can be made entirely of profiled sheet, and the pillars can be installed in the corners of the site and in the places where the wicket and gates will be installed.

Foundation

For high-quality installation you need to make a foundation for the fence. This design looks more beautiful, it is more reliable than a deaf overlap with corrugated board. The profiled sheet can be mounted after laying the foundation.

The foundation will keep weeds, such as wheatgrass, out of your backyard lawn. It will be more difficult for wild and neighboring animals to dig under it. It will save you from spring or spontaneous floods.

The construction is completed by the lids on the pillars. They are concrete, coated with mineral pigments and metallic. They are produced different types and colors. You can make them yourself. They protect the brick post from moisture, prolonging its service life, and giving completion and originality to the structure.

How to choose?

There are many types of bricks, and any of them can be used in the construction of a fence. Most often, they use the remaining brick from the construction of the house. The battle and waste will be used in the installation of the foundation, which will save on garbage disposal.

White silicate brick will go well with any dark color professional sheet. Ordinary red brick is cheaper and more affordable. You can try to combine different color bricks. For example, in a checkerboard pattern or in the form of a spiral.

The posts and foundation of the fence can be finished with mosaics or natural stone.

The color range of commercially available profiled sheets is very diverse and can satisfy every taste. But if you wish, you can paint them yourself in a suitable shade using a spray bottle. Modern choice paint and varnish products allows you to do this.

The configuration of the sheets is mainly wave with different pitch and depth. They can be mounted both vertically and horizontally. The thickness of the metal for the construction of the fence is chosen at least 0.5 mm. It is possible to order sheets with wood or brick finish.

How to install?

To install the fence, you must perform the following work in a specific sequence:

  • preparation of the foundation;
  • fabrication of a frame (skeleton);
  • pouring the foundation;
  • bricklaying;
  • installation of a profiled sheet;
  • fine finishing.

Installation work begins with marking on the ground according to a previously drawn up plan. The markings are done using a pedometer or tape measure, driving the pegs into the places where the posts are installed and at the boundaries of the future fence. A nylon thread is pulled between them. A trench is dug along the thread with a depth of at least 25-30 cm.In the places where the pillars are located, the depth must be increased to at least half a meter. The width is freely selectable. If there is a subsequent brick laying around the entire perimeter, then it should be equal to the width of the brickwork. If the soil is soft, then to strengthen the foundation, a trench is dug with an expansion in depth. The deepest depth for the foundation is the depth of soil freezing, about a meter. The soil is distributed over the site or removed.

The next step is the installation of the formwork. One of the installation options will be pouring concrete not only of the foundation, but also of the pillars themselves, followed by their finishing under a brick. Such monolithic construction the most durable.

For the construction of formwork, you can use any available material, but most often they use a semi-edged board. Boards are assembled at a level of arbitrary height, leaving a distance of at least 10 cm from the ground.The boards are fastened together with transverse bars and propped up with outside... After that, an iron skeleton is assembled from rods with a cross section of 8-10 mm. It can be assembled directly inside the formwork or made from the outside and placed inside already assembled. For assembly, welding is used or burnt wire is used. The length between vertical rods is usually 1-1.5 m.

Next, install inch pipe or an iron corner of at least 30/30 in the center of the location of the future post, which will strengthen the post and will serve as the basis for fastening the guide rails for the corrugated board. Align it in level and secure it with spacers. You can weld it to the foundation skeleton.

Start pouring the foundation. If there is no electricity or concrete mixer, use a homemade or metal trough with a size of at least 1 / 0.5 / 0.4 m.

Proportions concrete mix: 1 part of cement, 3 parts of sand, 6 parts of crushed stone; water; 10 ml liquid soap in a bucket of water. First, a cement mortar is made, and then crushed stone is added to it. They are used for kneading with shovels and hoes. When the volume of work is large and there is an opportunity and labor force, you can calculate the volume of the solution and order a concrete truck. The concrete is compacted during pouring to remove air bubbles. After pouring, it is covered with polyethylene for uniform adhesion. The formwork can be removed after a week.

2-3 days after the foundation is poured, a frame is welded from hollow iron bars with a thickness of 1.5-2 mm or corners, the dimensions and thickness of which depend on the length of the span. Layout and installation is done by two people using a water, laser or simple level. After installation, the welding places are painted. If as guides will be used wooden blocks, then during the laying of the pillars in the brick, mortgages are made for their fasteners.

The brick is placed on a cement mortar with the addition of a small amount of liquid soap to increase the elasticity of the mortar. In order to save money, they put one brick to the half, reinforcing with an iron mesh and at the same time filling the center of the pillar with an iron guide with cement. The height of the post is individual. Usually it is brought a little higher than the corrugated sheet.

Construction of a fence made of corrugated board with brick pillars

The fence, like many millennia ago, is a fencing line that protects against unauthorized entry into the territory of a cottage, a country house, suburban area etc.

A fence is not only a protective fence, but also an element that completes the border, giving completeness to the territory and buildings. The indisputable quality of a protective fence is its versatility. Structural strength is far from the last place. In this respect, the fence made of corrugated board is far from the last place in a number of variations of enclosing structures.

The main advantages of a fence made of profiled sheet

As a rule, the following advantages are distinguished:

  • The fence is quite simple in the construction process. Also, the construction of a fence takes an order of magnitude less time than, for example, the construction of a stone, brick and / or wooden fencing... In total, the installation process will take no more than three days.
  • For the construction of a fence made of corrugated board, the involvement of specialists is not required. The work process is quite simple and feasible for doing it yourself.
  • Innovative production technologies make it possible to produce material with a length of 12 meters. Thus, there is the possibility of erecting a fence, the height of which can be up to eight meters. Such an obstacle is almost insurmountable.
  • For the construction of the fence, there is no need to develop drawings and diagrams. In this case, the participation of engineers is not required, which, again, significantly reduces material and time costs.
  • The versatile material makes it possible to create combinations with other building materials. For example, corrugated board can be combined with reinforced concrete supports or brick posts, metal profiles.
  • According to experts, a fence made of corrugated board and brick supports has excellent sound insulation performance. A sufficiently high fence is able to muffle up to 70% of sounds coming from the street.
  • For the construction of the fence, substandard material (raw materials with manufacturing defects) can be used. Such material practically does not differ from the standard coating, with the exception of minor flaws (for example, the sheet may be bent and / or wrinkled). However, visual defects do not in any way affect the strength of the material. And defective sheets will cost 20-30% less.
  • Diversity colors corrugated board allows you to choose the best option, which will look more than appropriate against the background of the facade of buildings, landscape and decorative elements.

Features of the choice of material

Modern corrugated board is intended for:

  • roofing works;
  • creating load-bearing structures;
  • finishing of facades.

What material should you choose? What kind of coating should be on the material suitable for the construction of a reliable fence?

  • The first type of material is steel profiled bent sheets with zinc plated, which is applied in the factory.
  • The second option is bent steel profiled sheets, the surface of which is coated polymer material m. This coverage allows you to increase the level of protection of the material from various types of damage and gives the steel sheets a certain color.
  • Steel sheets additionally coated a layer of plastisol. This material differs in the maximum level of protection and can withstand rather heavy loads, ranging from atmospheric phenomena to serious mechanical damage.

You should not purchase material without a layer polymer paint... The coating protects the material from the damaging effects of moisture, preventing rust.

If the profile sheet is made of copper or aluminum, protective covering not required as the materials are not subject to corrosive processes. However, the cost of this flooring is much higher than other options.

Also, in the process of choosing the ideal profile sheet for the fence, plays a role material thickness... Experts recommend focusing exclusively on options with a thickness of at least 0.6 mm.

The color scheme depends solely on the wishes of the consumer. However, you should pay attention to the thickness of the colored polymer coating. The thicker the paint layer, the less chips, scratches and other flaws will be.

Preparatory process

Before starting the construction of a protective fence, first of all, you should carefully plan and mark the site. To do this, you should install pegs around the entire perimeter of the site, thus marking the places of future support pillars for the fence. The pegs are connected together with a sufficiently strong thread or rope, a ribbon that will not sag too much. So you get a visual outline of the future fence.

This option is most convenient for possible adjustments and visual examination of the most convenient location of the support posts and spans. After marking, you should:

  1. Calculate the total length of the fence.
  2. Calculate the length of the individual spans without support columns.
  3. Calculate the number of required profile sheets, bricks, metal profiles that will be required for supports and horizontal purlins.
  4. Calculate the height of the brick pillars (in most cases, the height does not exceed two meters).
  5. Calculate the length, width and depth of the foundation (the depth is no more than a meter and depends on the level of soil freezing, and the width of the foundation most often does not go beyond 0.5-0.8 meters - than weaker ground, the wider the foundation width).
  6. Prepare the required number of boards for the formwork.
  7. Prepare the material for the foundation (sand, crushed stone, cement).

Fence foundation with brick pillars

The ideal option for such a combined fence made of corrugated board is considered to be reinforced concrete foundation belt type... The fence, based on a continuous monolithic tape, not only looks more solid, but also reliably protects the site from the penetration of small animals that can undermine the base of the fence, and rainwater from the street.

The width of the foundation should match the width of the brick pillars, about which a little later.

The landscape of the site assumes the presence of differences in soil level. In this case, the construction of a monolithic reinforced concrete tape may entail unforeseen costs, since the difference in height can reach about 0.5 meters (with a conditional length of 10 m). Thus, it is more expedient to "split" the foundation into several segments with different heights.

It should be borne in mind that the foundation tape should protrude at least 10 cm above the soil level. This measure prevents the accumulation of dirt on the upper section of the tape during the rainy season.

Additional savings can be achieved with different foundation widths. The full width is made only under the brick pillars, and the narrower foundation is made under the profile sheets. This option reduces the amount of earthwork and the amount of concrete composition consumed, however, it complicates the formwork installation process.

The depth of the foundation should be equal to the depth of soil freezing (about 1m), which is a guarantee of the immobility of the entire structure. Also, to prevent deformation of the foundation, it is necessary to fill in a sand cushion. The height of the embankment is about 20 cm, it is watered and compacted quite tightly.

An important role in creating a reliable and high-quality foundation is played by reinforcement process... The reinforcement must be tied together without fail (wire can be used) and laid in two layers. It is preferable to assemble the reinforcement frame on the ground, lowering it into the trench exclusively during the assembly of the formwork. In places where brick supports are being erected, corners or pipes should be additionally mounted, which will strengthen the structure of future pillars.

  • 1 part cement;
  • 3 pieces of sand;
  • 6 parts of crushed stone (preferably medium fraction);
  • 0.7 parts of water;
  • special additives (elements that increase the strength of concrete, its frost resistance and plasticity). To save money, the "folk method" is allowed - 10 ml of liquid soap is added to a bucket of water.

At the end of the casting process, the monolithic tape should be covered with polyethylene. The next stage of work can begin no earlier than three days later.

To create a railing wireframe

To ensure maximum solid foundation the fence should be erected frame. It is best to use profile pipes 20x40x2 mm.

In the future, profile decking sheets will be attached to these elements. It is best to assemble the frame separately, and then mount it on the formwork in segments.

Profile pipes are cut into pieces of the required length. Horizontal beams are attached to the vertical posts. Elements should be fastened at right angles. This process can be carried out using welding machine or "tying" the elements with wire. Horizontal elements are fixed at a distance of at least 20 cm from each other, while the lower profile should be mounted no more than 10 cm from the bottom of the profile sheet. The finished frame is sanded, covered with a primer and painted (this is not only a decorative necessity, but also protection of the structure from corrosion processes).

The process of erecting brick supports

For the construction of pillars, use facing brick... Before the construction process, you should decide on the dimensions and height of the supports. Most often, the pillars are erected to a height of 2-2.5 meters and are folded into 1.5 bricks. The brick lays down around the frame elements (vertical profile pipes) pre-assembled into the formwork. For masonry, it is recommended to use a solution, the composition of which:

  • 1 part cement;
  • 3 pieces of sand.

Gaps between brick and shaped pipes also laid with a solution. Each row should be additionally reinforced with a reinforcing tape (preferably 50x50x4). Each finished brick post is additionally covered with a special cap. It's not only decorative element, but also reliable protection supporting structure from moisture ingress.

Features of mounting a profile sheet

To ensure that the lower edges of the sheet are not damaged during the installation process, sheets of cardboard are preliminarily placed on the base of the monolithic foundation strip.

In order for the work to be done as accurately as possible, it should be applied in advance to steel sheet marks for places of future attachment (just enough points with a marker). For the direct installation process, it is best to use special roofing screws. Additional organicity and completeness to the fence will be given by fasteners that have the same color as the selected corrugated board.

The sheets are overlapped with each other by one wave. The equipment (drill, screwdriver) should be operated at low speeds, which will help to avoid the loss of screws and / or deformation of the sheet.

The fence is ready. The fence is not only optimal protection territory, but also very effectively in harmony with the general style of construction and landscape. A fence made of a profiled sheet does not require large material and time costs for the construction process. Protective structure serves for quite a long time and is very easy and unpretentious to care for.
