Front insulation panel. The relevance of the use of facade panels with insulation

Recently, facade panels with insulation are becoming more and more popular, which simultaneously perform several functions: they provide decorative beautiful appearance, insulate your home, significantly saves money family budget... In terms of their structure, heat-insulating panels of two or three layers are approximately the same - mineral wool or polystyrene is used as insulation, then there is a protective layer, and outside there is a decorative layer - under a stone, tile, brick.

All facade panels can be divided into 2 groups:

  1. With insulation.
  2. No insulation.

If you classify them according to features, you get a huge variety of panels for exterior decoration.

Table 1. General classification of facade panels.

Of course, consumers are much more likely to choose panels with insulation, because immediately with such a finish they seem to kill two birds with one stone - both insulate the home and give the house a beautiful look. Much also depends on the climatic conditions of the region of residence. If it is warm there all year round, then insulation is not needed.

A wide variety of facade panels

Facade panels with insulation for outdoor decoration

Easy to install and durable facade panels very economical in terms of price. If we compare the finished slab with insulation in terms of cost, then it is less than installing all its components separately:

  • Styrofoam;
  • its installation on a grid;
  • finishing with plaster or other material;
  • additional protective materials and means.

And here - all in one, and there is no need to build frames and grids - for installing tiles. Everything is attached to resins and adhesives, which additionally creates an external seal for the coating. And yet - important for home owners who have decided to decorate their building with facade panels - the stylish appearance of the building, which is sometimes indistinguishable from natural finishing materials: sandstone, marble, brick, granite and so on.

Clinker tiles are also becoming especially popular as a decorative layer. It completely imitates brick or natural stone, and at a cost - several times less. Plus, the installation of such solid slabs is a matter that everyone can do, for this you do not need to have special professional skills of a builder.

Moreover, the external facade canvas looks like a solid one - without seams, gaps, transitions and displacements of the overall pattern.

Some craftsmen manage to stick the tiles on the foam panels on their own. But you should not do this, because this is a laborious process that does not save money, since today the market presents a huge variety of ready-made facade panels with insulation - at low prices. The so-called combiterm has spread, which is the most budgetary execution of facade panels.

Advantages

To summarize the above, such panels have a lot of advantages over other finishing materials:

  1. Fine keep warm in the House.
  2. Reduces noise in the House.
  3. Stylish and versatile.
  4. By low price.
  5. Harmless.
  6. Easy to install.
  7. Serve by 30-50 years old- without restorations and repairs.
  8. Not susceptible to precipitation, temperature, both low and high.
  9. Wide choose for every taste.

Insulated facade panels - types and quality

Exterior panels for houses differ in variety:

  • by invoice;
  • sizes;
  • base material and decor;
  • cost.

Varieties by materials

So, according to the materials from which the facade panels are created, they can be divided into main types:

  1. Metallic- with double-sided imposition of solid sheets of aluminum or galvanized steel, can be smooth or perforated, with any decor, but such an installation requires additional reinforcement and reinforcement, but it is more durable and reliable;
  2. Concrete coated- most a budget option when a layer of concrete is applied to the foam, outwardly it is torn plastering, which gives style and originality to the facade;
  3. Metal + decorative plaster reliable and beautiful;
  4. Clinker, porcelain stoneware or glazed tiles with or without plaster - durable and offered in a wide range of imitation natural materials and color solutions;
  5. At the base - bulk foam, which differs from usual in immunity to temperature extremes and moisture;
  6. Thermal panels with mineral wool as the main insulation material;
  7. Fiber cement- heavier and mainly used for finishing the base;
  8. From wood fibers- require impregnation for durability;
  9. Plastic- made of soft plastic with cells.

Thermal panels for a stone - reliable and beautiful

Note! Experts do not recommend installing external wood cladding - it is always subject to moisture, even if soaked in sealed solutions. Also, plastic should be installed taking into account climatic conditions. If the temperature in winter is low, then such material is not frost-resistant and will deform.

Types of panels for imitation

All facade panels are practically indistinguishable from natural materials in appearance:

  • wood;
  • stone;
  • tiles;
  • bricks.

This is possible thanks to modern technologies for the production of panels that completely imitate natural components. Moreover, you can choose a panel any shade, any stone- by texture and degree of processing, any type of wood. Externally, the finish can easily resemble raw sandstone or smooth treated marble or granite, as well as solid pine or oak.

Different sizes

By size, all slabs can be classified into types:

  1. Two-layer.
  2. Three-layer.

The latter includes sandwich panels, in which the cladding is located on both sides of the main insulation material. But the disadvantage of such coatings is the need for additional external finishing, since the appearance is not very pleasing to the eye.

The range of sizes of these external heatersfrom 4 cm thick up to 12-15 cm.

Rigidity and reliability

According to the stiffness, the panels can be divided into the following types:

  • with the presence of a third hard layer;
  • with thorns-grooves;
  • with built-in metal fixing plates;
  • with the presence of a sleeve for plastic fasteners, etc.

All these devices slightly increase the cost of the plates, but they are the guarantor of the durability of use - at least 50 years old.

House decoration with facade panels with insulation

When decorating a house with these plates, there are practically no difficulties.

But in order for the external facade to serve for many decades - without repair and reconstruction, it is worth observing basic finishing rules:

  1. Before choosing a material calculate the load on the walls and foundation, This is especially true for metal or concrete (heavier) panels, especially for old houses with strip foundations.
  2. If you decide to glue blocks with clinker tiles, then provide for installation work with crate.
  3. For lathing you should not choose materials that are susceptible to moisture and temperature extremes, for example, wood - it begins to rot quickly, it is better to use metal for this purpose.
  4. pay attention to wall strength, before work, strengthen them with reinforcement and plastering - to give the walls evenness and in order to strengthen them.
  5. If in doubt bearing capacity walls then choose lighter boards with insulation.
  6. Think over the overall design of the facade before buying slabs;
  7. Calculate the total number of panels in the area of the outer walls of your home.
  8. For the base, use more reliable types- from metal with decorative plaster, or from pressed cement and decor for wood, brick (there are many options), also made of metal.
  9. If groundwater is close to the foundation, then worth strengthening ground floor waterproofing materials, for example, roofing material, resins, special paints.
  10. When installing panels do not save on protective materials or solutions for deep penetration disinfection, in otherwise when saving sealants, mold can develop, and with an insufficient amount of antiseptic solution, insects appear that corrode the panel from the inside.
  11. When finishing pay special attention to exit points ventilation system, panels should be reinforced as firmly as possible.

In any case, consultations with a specialist will not interfere, he will advise how to take into account when finishing the type of your soil on which the house stands, the foundation, the age of the house, the former exterior wall decoration, the places where pipes and drains exit, and so on.

Undoubted pros and cons

Observing all these settings, you can achieve excellent results in external insulation at home and get undeniable bonuses from this:

  • quick and easy installation;
  • saving heat;
  • reducing the cost of paying for electricity;
  • style and originality on the outside;
  • small costs;
  • the durability of the new facade.

Of the minuses, experts note the frequent mixing of layers of two-layer slabs due to different density material, therefore when buying, make sure that all panels are homogeneous, otherwise, after installation, additional work will have to be done - for example, grouting the panels.

Clinker panels

Clinker tiles are the most common decorative part with insulation among panels. Thanks to the variety of colors and imitations, it will fit into any home furnishings interior, it can be:

  • marbled;
  • quartz;
  • sandstone;
  • brick;
  • quarrystone and other stones.

Prices for various types of clinker panels

Manufacturing technology

The name of the tile is due to the main external element of the decor - clinker - clay tiles, with a complex manufacturing technology by firing at a temperature more than a thousand degrees. Then these heavy-duty boards are completely embedded in polystyrene foam or polyurethane foam using a special technique. Experts have proven that tearing off such a tile almost impossible, for this you need jackhammer and a force of more than three hundred kilograms. Tile tearing is extremely rare, and then this defect can be easily eliminated using polyurethane foam.

Structure

Most often, the main insulation in such plates is OSB - a multilayer material made of shavings and chips, this provides not only strength, but also additional rigidity to the insulation. Also act as a basis:

  • expanded polystyrene;
  • polyurethane foam;
  • Styrofoam.

Owners like this type of cladding also because the facade in the future It does not require special care- the appearance is always like new and just produced. In addition, this type of panel reliably protects the walls of the house from destruction and impact. environment.

Features of installation of external panels with insulation

The ease of installation of the panels is due to the flat surface of the walls outside the house. If they are deformed or uneven, then plastering and rubbing should be done first. After all, if the surface is even, then the slabs can be applied without lathing and frames - with glue and resins.

Step-by-step installation instructions

Step 1. Cooking tools: hacksaw or grinder, hammer, level, tape measure, screwdriver, marker.

Step 2. Align the walls - according to the level of the most convex place.

Step 3. If you want to create a ventilated space, between the cladding and the wall, make a crate - it is better from metal profiles... We make markings before installing the lathing with a step in 40 cm.

Step 4. Fix corner pieces or we fasten screws to the crate, the caps of which are subsequently covered with mastic of the corresponding color. We fix the slabs from any corner from bottom to top. NS

Step 5. We distribute the glue evenly over the entire area of the plate, and in the center and in the corners we make glue points, as it were. When fixing, press for 10 seconds, then let stand for 5 minutes.

Step 6. We constantly check the correctness of installation with the help of a level.

Step 7. Where communicative pipes go out or there are window openings, we cut the slab to size using a grinder. Seams are wiped in dry warm weather.

Step 8. 24 hours after gluing the boards, they are additionally fastened with special dowels into the seams.

Step 9. Grouting is done by applying a grouting mixture to the entire surface of the panels, after which, after about a day, wipe the decor with a sponge or also the entire surface. If you do not want to grout yourself, you can purchase more expensive slabs with ready-made grout from the manufacturer.

That's it - you got a beautiful facade of the house and excellent thermal insulation. Statistics prove that for correct installation the facade with panels with insulation subsequently the owners of such a house save up to 35% from the costs of internal heating, and after 2 years energy-saving factors compensate for all the costs of purchasing and installing this type of cladding.

Panels for a stone - for the facade and with insulation

Today it is easy to decorate your home with different stone-imitating panels - just choose which stone is preferable for you:

  • quartz;
  • marble;
  • travertine;
  • sandstone;
  • granite;
  • limestone;
  • dolomite, etc.

To do this, simply select the slabs that reproduce these types of stones as much as possible. All of them must meet the criteria:

  • low thermal conductivity;
  • resistance to external factors;
  • tightness;
  • free of toxic compounds and any level of danger to human health;
  • incombustibility;
  • long-term;
  • ease of installation.

All the criteria are fully met by stone panels made with decor from different materials:

  1. Metal.
  2. Vinyl- preferable for interior work.
  3. Acrylic.
  4. Fiber cement.
  5. Clinker.

These types of finishes are outwardly indistinguishable from cobblestone, flat, rocky, burnt stone. Modern technologies for the manufacture of such panels help to reproduce natural natural stones- with maximum accuracy. But the price is very different from the cost of natural representatives, although in terms of performance, the insulation panels also stand at a height and are not inferior to natural materials. Even special plinths for a stone have been developed, with high level strength, darker and larger pattern. Most often, they are made of metal, which allows you to protect the lower part of the walls from influences of any nature, including moisture and temperature, wind, ultraviolet radiation. In addition, such insulation, stone-imitating slabs give the overall facade an original, expensive look.

How to choose?

The market is rich in a variety of facade panels. How to choose those that will last a long time and will not require overpayments. To do this, you must follow the usual rules:

  1. Purchase from the manufacturer or a full-fledged representative.
  2. At the time of buying check licenses and certificates on the panel.
  3. Read the instructions carefully.
  4. Get guarantees in case of breakdowns or defects.

If you do everything correctly, then the facade panels with insulation will reciprocate you and will last for many years without breakdowns and deformations. And your house will always look like it has just been built and will have its own style and originality.

Indeed, in your work on the design of the facade, you can be guided by the mixing of styles, at the same time using, for example, plaster and panels, or natural stones at the bottom - panels at the top, and so on. There is a runaway for imagination and the embodiment of the most unusual desires for the look of the house. But it is important that in addition to appearance, with the help of this type of facade panels, you simultaneously insulate it, and also reduce the level of noise penetration into the house. All these factors will help to maintain home comfort, a comfortable stay at home.

The construction of a private house requires many nuances to be taken into account. So, its facade should not only look attractive from the outside and protect the house from noise, but also ensure the preservation of heat inside. For this purpose, recently, facade panels with insulation have been used, a durable protective material, the popularity of which is provided by many advantages.

And one of the most important is that the initial installation costs will quickly pay off by reducing the consumption of energy (gas, electricity, liquid or solid fuel).

Thermal panel design

Facade thermal panels consist of two main materials:

  • insulation (polyurethane foam or basalt slab);
  • decorative and protective layer (most often clinker tiles play this role).

The first is necessary to reduce the heat loss of the walls of a residential building or buildings for any other purpose. The second provides an attractive view of the building and protects the insulating base from external factors such as precipitation, moisture and mechanical stress.

Production technology

The production of external thermal panels is carried out at the factory, taking into account modern technologies, allowing you to form a product in a matrix (block-form). During the manufacturing process, all necessary factors and only high-quality raw materials are used. As a result, high quality and reliable insulated facade panels are obtained. The main stages of production include:

  1. Preparation of expanded polystyrene or polyurethane foam, which consists in foaming the material;
  2. Drying of granules;
  3. Laying the decorative layer (tiles) in a block form;
  4. Adding granules to the matrix;
  5. Heating the mold with hot steam, as a result of which the insulation expands, forming a finished panel;
  6. Cooling of the finished panel using a vacuum unit;
  7. Waiting for the panel to be ready for several hours (at least 24).

Product parameters

Important characteristics possessed by facing thermal panels are:

  • improvement of the heat and sound insulation properties of external enclosing structures, obtained through the conversion of sound energy into heat by a heater;
  • increasing the water resistance of the walls due to the hygroscopicity of the material;
  • preservation of heat-conducting properties in any conditions;
  • high resistance to chemical and bacteriological influences. The insulating panels will not be affected by mold, fungi or microorganisms.

However, correct styling external panels provide them with high strength in both compression and bending. Therefore, they are used not only for construction, but also for the repair of runways at the airport. Moreover, the plates can also withstand extreme temperature levels - up to 150 (some models - up to 250) degrees of heat and up to 65 degrees of frost. And they also have a high degree of fire resistance - without fire, their combustion lasts no more than 4 seconds.

Advantages and disadvantages

The main advantage of thermal panels used to decorate the facade of the house is effective thermal insulation of the building - 50 cm of polyurethane foam replaces 1 meter thick brickwork. At the same time, even after several years of operation, when the plastered surfaces already change color and crumble, the heat panels retain their color, strength, and thermal performance... This material does not require any special cleaning or special care. Withstanding any weather conditions and mechanical stress, it will last at least 30 years.

It is easier to install heat panels than other materials used to decorate a house from the outside. For this, they are equipped with special fasteners to minimize the possibility of damage to the thermal panels during installation. The process of wall insulation in this way can be called an investment in the future, when with minimal cost time and money are subsequently saved on both repairs and heating.

The owner of a private house, for sure, will suit such an advantage of the material as an aesthetic appearance. Moreover, a wide range of modern market allows you to select panels whose surface imitates both brick and natural stones... Materials are also available in various colors. As a result, the decoration of the facade also increases the uniqueness of the building.

Disadvantages cladding panels with insulation have a little:

  • the ability to install only on perfectly smooth enclosing structures. Even a slight unevenness can lead to a distortion of the panel and a decrease in its heat-shielding properties;
  • the increased cost of both the insulation itself and its installation in comparison with other materials. Basically, these are approximately the same amounts - you should not save on installation, since if it is of poor quality, the junction individual elements can disperse in just a few years;
  • the formation of condensation under the panels, unless a small gap (at least 4 cm) is left between them and the walls of the house. It is also worth considering the coefficient of vapor transmission (the ratio of thickness to vapor permeability) of the enclosing structures, which should be higher than that of the insulation.

Installation of panels

Installation of thermal panels on the facade of the house is possible in all weather conditions and outside temperatures. Due to the special parameters of the material, the climate practically does not affect the quality of its installation. The same cannot be said about the quality of the walls, which must be prepared in advance by making them completely smooth - or choose the method of installation on the frame. Special attention when installing the panels from the outside, it also pays attention to the joints where visible seams can form.

Using the framework

Installation of heat panels can be carried out using a frame made of metal structures or lumber. They are attached to metal posts using special clamps that provide invisible fastening. The step between such structures depends on the dimensions of the panels. Typically this distance is 750–1000 mm.

When choosing a tree that will also need to be pre-treated with anti-mold and mildew agents, the cross-section of individual elements should not exceed 50 mm either in length or in width. Otherwise, the wood curls. Fastening panels to wooden structures is carried out using screws with flat heads with a diameter of 10 mm or more or wooden fasteners screwed into the thorn. The angle of inclination of the fasteners is taken equal to 45 degrees. It is recommended to mount the frame on the wall surface using metal corners.

Frameless installation

It is allowed to fix the cladding panels directly on the surface of the walls without a frame. If the enclosing structure is even, the material is attached using special dowels and self-tapping screws. If there are irregularities, it is desirable that beacons stand at the junction of the panels. All elements installed outside are aligned with them.

Installation features

Heat panels for wall decoration outside are mounted so easily that they can be used to insulate the facade of both new and old houses. The panels can be mounted on any base that has sufficient strength - aerated concrete, expanded clay concrete, brick, wooden beam or plaster. They do not require a special foundation or load from above. And, using the frame, you don't even have to worry about the unevenness of the outer walls of the building.
In conclusion, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with this video installation of facade panels.

Front facing thermal panels are presented in the form of special structures that perform two important tasks - they carry out insulation of the facade of the house and are a finishing material.

Thermal panels - facade decorative elements

Metal and rustic facade panels have gained well-deserved popularity due to the relatively low cost and high speed of installation works.

1 Features of facade thermal panels

It is worth mentioning right away that the presented metal and rustic facade panels of the Rockwool trademark embody the most rational and environmentally friendly clean solution thermal insulation issue.

Before you start insulating the outer surface of the house with such a product as a facade sandwich panel, it is worth considering that it can be compatible with any surface, be it stone or brick.

Insulation of the facade of the house with Rockwool sandwich panels will give top scores if they are attached to an extra layer of foam.

By the way, unlike polystyrene, Rockwool sandwich panels, stylized as stone or brick, significantly improve not only the heat-saving qualities of the facade, but also increase its aesthetic appeal.

In addition, the Rockwool sandwich panel can be attached to the outer surface of the facade (as opposed to foam) on surfaces such as:

  • Concrete;
  • Expanded clay concrete;
  • Classic brick on;
  • Plastered facade;
  • Unplastered facade;
  • Block house wall;
  • Aerated concrete;
  • Wood;
  • Unfired raw brick.

Thermal panels, stylized as a stone or brick, have for the most part positive reviews, which is associated with a certain number of advantageous features.

For example, it may be the possibility of insulating old buildings with sandwich panels. Products such as rustic thermal panels can, if necessary, insulate the facade of a house with a disturbed geometric shape.

It is almost impossible to carry out such insulation work using ordinary foam. In especially difficult cases maybe, in order to insulate the uneven facade of the house, instead of polystyrene, the crate is first trimmed, which levels the work surface.

After that, the facade is covered with thermal panels or sandwich panels, which can be stylized as stone or brick.

2 Characteristics and properties of thermal panels

When finishing the outer surface of the facade with thermal panels, the term of the installation work is significantly reduced.

In turn, this significantly reduces the total time spent on construction work, and as a result, their cost.

It is known that when carrying out construction work, a significant part of the costs is not only the purchase of material and labor remuneration, but also rent. scaffolding, with the help of which the facade work will be carried out.

Installation of a thermal panel does not require the involvement of highly qualified workers and specialists, because you can do it yourself without any particular difficulties.

To do this, by and large, you will need a minimum set of the most common tools. During installation, you can not do without:

  • Electric drills;
  • Construction knife;
  • Hammer;
  • Screwdrivers as per.

Before you start installing the insulation, you need to make sure that the surface of the walls is flat and does not have significant flaws.

Fastening the facade panels can be done with glue, foam or dowels. It is known that the presented panels cost significantly less than traditional brickwork, therefore, after carrying out simple calculations, you can find out the percentage of savings when insulating in this way.

Insulation, presented in the form of thermal panels, completely relieves the owner of the mandatory need associated with periodic repair of the facade and restoration of the outer surface of the walls.

However, if the work is carried out without observing the requirements of the technology, then the insulating coating may undergo deformation.

The presented material has a long service life, which is more than fifty years, while maintaining the original color.

2.1 Product Feedback

As already mentioned, reviews of facade panels with insulation are mostly positive.

Pavel, 45 years old, Izhevsk:

I recently purchased from the secondary housing market Vacation home... I decided to make in it overhaul before check-in. When it came to insulating the facade, I bought and installed Rockwool thermal panels. Excellent insulation and, moreover, pleasing to the eye.

Sergey, 50 years old, Kramatorsk:

Lately old heating system poorly began to cope with their task. I started to insulate the outside of the facade. I used a Rockwool sandwich panel as insulation. Now in all rooms optimum temperature... I recommend this insulation to everyone.

Vladimir, 43 years old, Zhitomir:

I am the foreman of a small construction team. We work mainly on private orders. When it comes to external insulation of the facade of houses, we use Rockwool thermal panels. These products have long established themselves as the best. Customers are always satisfied, excellent material, we have no complaints about its quality.

2.2 Clinker thermal panels

The presented type of panels has clinker tiles as a decorative layer. If we talk about the degree of resistance to aggressive environmental influences, then clinker surpasses some types of natural stone in its performance.

This material has a large number of colors and is made using shale clay. Such raw materials are currently being mined in North-Western Europe.

This suggests that the clinker is absolutely environmentally friendly material, which does not contain harmful chemical additives and impurities.

It is created during the implementation of the high-temperature firing method. Clinker panels exhibit high rates mechanical strength, with an underestimated value of water absorption.

Such material is distinguished by its pronounced frost resistance and the ability to maintain its properties throughout its entire operational life.

In addition to the fact that clinker panels exhibit excellent thermal insulation and aesthetic properties, they demonstrate high sound insulation qualities.

In addition, the material acts as an additional waterproofing like. Such material is used not only as insulation and decorative element facade, but also for interior finishing work.

2.3 Thermal panels with porcelain stoneware tiles

Kermogranite is another type of insulation ceramic tiles... It is made from high quality raw materials, in the process of firing, exposure high temperatures and pressure.

The result is a very tightly compressed material that is virtually immune to the harmful effects of the environment.

These indicators are significantly superior to natural natural stones. The presented thermal panels are especially quoted by those home owners who prefer to design a facade with a detailed textured surface.

Thermal panels made of porcelain stoneware tiles differ large size, which easily allows them to imitate masonry.

As a rule, these products are used in houses, the appearance of which is oriented towards the Mediterranean or scandinavian styles... Despite the solid dimensions of the plates, they weigh a little, therefore, this allows them to be installed with ease with your own hands.

2.4 Thermal panels with glazed tiles

This type of thermal panels is currently very popular. Their use is especially important in the process of finishing low-rise houses.

The popularity of this material was already noticed in the 60s of the last century. Glazed tiles have a smooth surface and a non-uniformity in their colors, which makes the facade of the house look like natural brickwork.

This material is characterized by a good appearance, ease of installation, high strength characteristics and a minimum number of disadvantages.

2.5 Thermal insulation of the facade using clinker thermal panels (video)

Facade panels with high quality insulation are currently not a rarity. They are great for our climatic weather conditions and are presented in a fairly large assortment of hardware stores. A wide variety exists so that you can translate into reality a variety of options for decorating your home.

Insulated facade panels differ from all others in that they are already equipped with all the necessary filler, which provides high-quality thermal insulation and external protection of the house from persistent frosts. This applies not only to the advantages on the part of quality, but also on the part of various design solutions for installation work outside a residential building.

Facade panels for residential buildings

Facade panels are manufactured using special modern technologies, which ultimately allows obtaining quality material for long lasting use. They differ from many other building materials in environmental components, therefore they can be applied in the most different directions installation work.

Such insulated siding has many advantages among other facing materials, therefore, today it is distinguished by its relevance and importance. Today it is one of best materials for facing insulation works, which managed to prove itself from the best side.

So, the advantages include:

  • wide range applications in unlimited quantities;
  • no additional preparatory work and the material is ready for use immediately after opening;
  • mounting from the outside is not even ideal flat wall, since the siding will cover all unnecessary irregularities;
  • such facade panels made of polyurethane foam are light in weight, therefore they do not exert strong pressure on the foundation and all the others bearing structures walls of the house;
  • in the presence of damp weather, it absorbs a minimum amount of moisture and at the same time does not exceed 2% moisture;
  • due to its durability, the material from the outside does not require restoration for 30 years;
  • is not exposed to ultraviolet curing, so the percentage of burnout is too small;
  • metal panels have low combustion rates;
  • siding can be installed at any time of the year, regardless of humidity and even frost.

It can be said with confidence that such metal panels create all the suitable opportunities for comfortable stay in the House.

Practicality and quality lie in a variety of characteristics, so siding can only be characterized after its own use. But over a fairly long period of time, a wide range of users have appreciated metal panels for the walls of a private residential building.

Plinth panels

In addition to the fact that there are foam panels for insulating the walls of the house, there are special construction stores available plinth panels for insulation of the foundation. They differ slightly from the front ones only in size.

As for the resistance, strength and durability, in this regard, they are in no way inferior to the front ones.

The insulation layer also consists of foam. The main thing in insulating the basement of the house is to correctly align the level of the walls along with part of the foundation. Thus, metal siding with a layer of foam will perfectly protect the outside from the effects of extreme weather conditions and will significantly keep the house warm.

In addition, with the help of insulation with foam, you can remarkably transform the appearance of steel, wood and brick, and many other facing materials on a natural basis. Average thickness facing material in aisles from 40 mm to 80 mm.

For the walls of the house and the foundation itself, you need to select it taking into account your preferences and obtaining the desired result. Most suitable option is a thickness of 50 mm, and for the walls themselves, 60 mm will be enough.

Most often, standard facade metal panels with foam plastic are used in the form of large tiles in the form of bricks. Such a foundation looks the most beautiful and gives the house more space and compared to standard plaster in different colors.

Installation of insulation panels

Option number 1

Option number 2

To carry out installation work outside the foam insulation panels, it is necessary to mount the straightening around the entire perimeter of the walls of the house. Straightening can be either wooden or metal, depending on how much money you have.

The straightening strips should be spaced at least 60 cm apart. Before nailing the siding, place a small layer of polyurethane foam or pre-cut pieces of foam. Then, using a level, metal siding is nailed sheet by sheet. Row by row must be checked for tightness and that the panels do not move. The tighter they fit to the straightening, the more heat will be stored in the house.

If, due to significant irregularities in the walls of the house, it is still not possible to nail the bar tightly, then specialists in this case use special insulation strips. They do not let the cold pass and allow the walls to breathe, due to which there is heat exchange and at the same time ventilation from moisture.

Whatever high-quality material is, it is not recommended to expose it to constant exposure to moisture, since this can deteriorate the walls not only from the outside, but also from the inside.

Pondering how to clad a shell stone house covered with a regular rough cement plaster, I decided to choose panels with insulation. Facing front panels with insulation are a convenient and interesting option, but finishing with this material has many nuances and subtleties.

I will share the experience gained using the example of panels from cement mix with additives of a beautiful texture, insulated with a layer of foam. But first, the options that can be found at a large hardware store.

Panel types - advantages and disadvantages

The very principle of the thermal panel device is several layers of decoration. Insulation layer, adhesive base and decorative coating with additional protective functions. Today there are four sandwich options that are quite affordable.

  • Clinker tiles as a decorative layer - it looks stylish and allows you to create any facade design. In this finish, the carrier layer is made of OSB, which gives the material additional rigidity.
    For the base, it is better to choose a material that is additionally reinforced with pressed-in metal or plastic bushings. It is safer. In addition, such a cladding can be easily assembled with your own hands.

  • A layer of decorative plaster on expanded polystyrene - there are many options. As a decor, you can choose the addition of marble chips or quartz. The advantage of such panels is the ability to create a perfect seamless finishing surface.

In the photo - the rules for installing metal panels

  • The metal coating is reliable and durable. Insulation on both sides is protected by aluminum or profiled sheet. You can choose any - under a tree or under a stone, but it will cost more.
    Minus metal - heavy finishing, the instruction does not recommend installation on old walls without additional reinforcement and reinforcement.

Concrete coating with additional reinforcing additives and an interesting "torn" texture. Insulation - a layer of foam. The most budgetary option.

You can buy at mini-factories twice as cheap as in a store. I chose this finish for myself. It can be painted both under the stone-sandstone, and under the marble or wild stone.

Panels for insulating the facade of a house made of pressed concrete with the addition of strengthening and water-repellent additives can be mounted on any walls with rough plaster. Perfectly smooth out all imperfections and irregularities.

Cladding rules for any sandwich panels

Since I am familiar with many problems firsthand, I will share the main nuances that are important to pay attention to.

Rule # 1

It is important to calculate the loads on the foundation and walls, especially in older buildings with shallow strip foundations. Some insulated panels for the facade are heavy ( concrete pavement or metal). For clinker tiles the installation of the lathing will be needed.

Architects advised against choosing a tree for the lathing in any case. Even treated with a deep penetration primer, it quickly begins to rot, and besides, woodworm beetles love it very much. Only metal lathing, as for drywall.

It is also important to consider the strength of the walls. If the building is old, then additional reinforcing reinforcement must be carried out. metal mesh and apply a layer of starting leveling plaster with hardening additives.

If there is no desire to pay for the calculations of the architects for the bearing capacity of the walls, then it is better to stay on a lightweight version for exterior decoration- on metal frame or lightweight clinker tiles.

Rule # 2

Be sure to look for a professional construction crew because fix bad job will be problematic. This is exactly what happened to me. She hired craftsmen, they assured me that they worked with this material, and received not walls - but chess board without worn out seams. I had to spend money on additional painting with decorative additives.

Let the masters show their work, do not be lazy, go and look at the object, talk to the owners. Now there are a lot of "craftsmen" who can "do everything", but in the end they just spoil good material.

Rule # 3

When choosing thermal panels for insulating the facade of a house, immediately think over the design concept of the entire facade. Now for five thousand rubles in the design office you can order sketches with different options finishes in texture and color.

Then remodeling and purchasing materials will be not only more troublesome, but also significantly more expensive. Of the most interesting options, I can recommend inexpensive and beautiful combinations:

  • Metal base and decorative plaster;
  • A plinth made of textured pressed cement and wood-like siding - the plinth can then be decorated with a timber or wild stone. Many decor options.
  • Clinker tiles are very "delicate"; it is good to use them as decorative inserts for panels covered with "torn" plaster.

For the basement of an old house, a thermal panel made of metal "like a brick" is ideal, and above it can be insulated with light plastered plates.

Rule # 4

Decide immediately what layer of insulation you need. The thicker the layer, the more expensive the finish.... But in some cases it is worth paying more. This applies to the basement and those walls of the house where there is most traffic.

Here, the finish must be durable and resistant to soil moisture. Metal panels protected on both sides are the safest for the base / plinth and corners.

If there are strong temperature changes or severe winters in the region, then it is worth choosing not ordinary foam, but bulk. This material retains heat better and is not afraid of moisture.

Rule # 5

When finishing the facade with sandwich panels, one cannot save on protective and disinfecting impregnations, because then the entire cladding will have to be changed.

  • It is imperative to treat the walls with an antiseptic and reinforcing deep penetration primer before installing the sheathing. Northern walls even in two doses at intervals of a day.
  • If the lathing for finishing is made of wood, then we treat the wood with a protective soil, and in addition, you can also paint it.
  • It is important not to forget about the organization of ventilation gaps - this applies to all materials that are attached to the crate, no matter whether it is metal or wood.
  • If the site is close to groundwater, then it is necessary additional waterproofing basement. Cover is suitable from resin or roofing material.

Thermal panels for insulating the facade of a house save up to 40 percent of heating costs, plus they guarantee dry walls and a comfortable indoor climate.

Summary

In the video presented in this article, it is described in detail about the installation of thermal panels on a metal crate.

I will be glad to discuss this interesting topic in the comments, and in the near future I promise a detailed article with photos of the "masterpiece" of my craftsmen. Maybe someone will advise interesting option painting.
