Where to start building a gazebo in the country. A gazebo made of wood and how to build it yourself

Do you want to make something with your own hands, so much so that it pleases you and your loved ones for a considerable amount of time?

A small gazebo-style structure would be a good choice. Build a gazebo with your own hands would be the best option.

Just imagine how, with a proud look at a joint dinner at your summer cottage, you tell your friends and family how you made this cozy corner yourself.

How to make a gazebo with your own hands

For the first steps in this matter, you need your imagination. Decide on the place where your creation will stand. Prepare it by removing excess debris.

Find a photo of the desired gazebo or imagine it yourself and think it over to the smallest detail (gazebo size, shape, additional details, color, style). It's good if you have the opportunity to sketch your thought. This will help you concentrate on the product and not be overwhelmed by the little things. Substantial savings in time and effort.

Draw the decorations to make the finished gazebo better. Create a more accurate drawing with all measurements, a gazebo project. Width, length, distance between supports. Choose the material from which you would like to see your gazebo.

After choosing the shape, the foundation is laid and the frame of the building is erected. The final stage will be decorating the structure.

Take your blueprints for the gazebo and get down to business. This will simplify the entire building assembly process, as well as the availability of all the necessary tools and parts.

Wooden gazebos

This type of gazebo is most often found on plots. Such structures are famous for their comfort in cold weather, in comparison with gazebos for summer cottages made of metal or other material.

Environmentally friendly wood clean material, which plays an important role if you take your children with you to the dacha.

For pests or fungal diseases you do not need to worry, since the gazebo can be treated with special preparations once.

In the future, their presence evaporates, and only those against whom they are intended will feel them.

Wood means the ease of construction of parts, as well as their fastening. With proper care of the raw materials, it will serve you for a very long time. Cute and natural appearance gazebos will not leave anyone indifferent and will only emphasize your site from favorable angles.

For a long period of operation of the building, prepare the maximum strong frame and foundation. This will save the gazebo from subsidence on the ground and skewing it in all possible directions. Treat the surface thoroughly with an antiseptic. This will kill all unwanted germs and infections on it.

It is best if your gazebo design does not look pretentious against the background of the rest of the site. Minimalism in detail has never done worse.

Gazebo with roof

This type of structure will allow you to enjoy your vacation with your family at any time of the year, in any weather.

A variety of summer buildings implies the absence of both a roof and a pair of walls, is limited only by partitions or is covered with an awning. It can also be supplemented with a grid against small insects if you plan to spend evenings in it.

Note!

In the process, prepare sand, cement, wooden blocks, piles and nails. Tools such as a hammer, plane, Sander and a saw will become your indispensable helpers.

It is better to divide all the work into a couple of stages. So you will approach the task more thoroughly and it will be easier to track what and how much you have left to do.

Place of construction of arbors

It is contraindicated to build gazebos in recesses. Since all the moisture will be absorbed into the raw material and after a while it will start to rot.

Note!

The most reliable option is considered to be a foundation on the columns. Place the walls on the base of the foundation, not the floor.

The best solution for the location of the partitions will be when they are somewhat protected from the wind, and several are open. Avoid constructing blank walls, this will create an echo effect. Select the roof material in relation to the residential building.

Note!

Hello everyone!

If you started to build on your garden plot beautiful and a simple gazebo but don't know where to start, maybe this article will help you.

Before starting construction, you need to decide what your gazebo will look like. There are a lot of options for such designs. These are both closed gazebos, and open, square and polygonal, single or gable, hipped and spherical, small and large, with or without a stove, made of brick, wood or metal, glass or polycarbonate.

Option 1.

Option 2.

Option 3.

Option 4.

Option 5.

As you can see different types There are a lot of gazebos. Therefore, it is necessary to choose for yourself the most the best option that would meet your needs and capabilities.

Below, we will look at how to build a simple do-it-yourself tree garden gazebo. For example, let's take another beautiful option:

Before starting construction, you will need to draw a sketch with all dimensions, taking into account the type of roof. Therefore, instead of a one-pitched one, you can make a gable or square one.

According to the sketch made, we acquire required material in the required quantity.

When everything is ready, you can start building. Since the gazebo is stationary and rather bulky, it is necessary to make a foundation for it.

We start by marking the perimeter with pegs and a rope in the chosen place.

After that, we dig a hole 90 cm., Fill it with sand or stones and fill it with mortar.

In advance, while the concrete has not hardened, we install anchors to fasten the vertical posts. After the foundation is completely dry, we first fix the racks themselves.

Having installed the racks, we assemble the frame itself. We start doing it with bottom strapping... For this we use wooden bar, laying it every 40-50 cm. After that, we install all the other frame racks, which should already hold the upper trim and the roof. The number of such racks depends on the size of the gazebo.

Once the frame is ready, you can sheathe the floor with a board. You can fasten it to the crate with both nails and self-tapping screws.

The next stage of construction is the installation of the roof. To do this, we first make the upper harness. The material for it will be a beam, which is bolted or nails attached to the supports. For greater strength, you can use the corner mount.

The roof is already made directly depending on the chosen shape. Basically it is one, two or four-pitched roof. If you decide to do hipped roof, then the installation of its rafters will be slightly different from that for a gable roof. The main rafters are attached in pairs, and for the strength of the structure, you can also add auxiliary ones, which are attached both to the upper strapping and to the main rafters.

After that, we sheathe the roof with the selected roofing material, as well as sew up the gazebo itself as provided in the sketch.

Do-it-yourself gazebo from scrap materials

Quite good gazebos are obtained not only from building materials, but also from scrap materials. The main thing is that there would be desire and imagination. And what is the material at hand. In general, we can say that this is all that is no longer good for anything. This is both construction waste and old window frames, plastic bottles and many other things that, at times, litter the summer cottage. Of course, using such waste, you still cannot do without special building materials. However, a gazebo built in this way will be much more original, such as these

If there are a lot of unnecessary tree trunks on your site that you cannot get rid of in any way, then they can also go into business.

Products made from plastic bottles are quite original. This "good" is enough to build even a house out of them.

You don't have to bother with building materials at all, but use climbing plants for the gazebo.

Finding a croaker and old dry logs, perhaps, will not be difficult. The gazebo made of this material looks quite good.

If there is a reservoir near you and a lot of reeds grow on it, then it can also be used to create a gazebo.

In general, there are many options, it would be, as they say, desire. Even an old car that will never drive again can do the trick too.

A gazebo from a profile pipe for a summer residence (photos and drawings)

The metal structure, after the wooden one, is the most common. Usually for its construction they use shaped tube and polycarbonate. But you can also sheathe it with wood.

As with the construction of any other gazebo, you need to start with a blueprint. For a structure made of a profile pipe, this is also important because you indicate in the drawing the dimensions according to which you will subsequently have to cut the material.

A fairly simple and uncomplicated design of such a gazebo is a rectangular shape with dimensions of 2x3 m. It is not so cumbersome, and you can easily install a table and several chairs or benches in it.

The difference in the construction of a gazebo from shaped pipes in comparison with other materials is in the set the necessary tool... You will need to have welding machine, level, grinder, drills with drill and fasteners.

The foundation is not made solid, but holes are dug according to the number of supports. The hole will need to be dug to a depth of 60 centimeters. On the supports, you can use a profile of 80x80 mm and a wall thickness of 3 mm. Support heels must be welded to the uprights, which will increase the rigidity of the structure.

Crushed stone is poured into the dug holes, then racks are placed and poured with concrete. At the same time, it is necessary to check the verticality of the racks as the concrete hardens.

After the foundation has hardened, the lower strapping is made. A profile of a smaller section is used for it than for the racks. It must be welded to the supports at a certain height above the ground level. Also from the profile is created rafter system... At gable roof it is welded at an angle of 15 degrees. For the convenience of fastening the roofing material, you can make a sheathing from the pipe in 45 cm increments.

If you want to do more complex shapes gazebos, you need to be patient, since the process will be more time consuming.

But if you are determined to achieve the result, then no difficulties will stop you. And a gazebo created by your own hands will delight not only you, but also your guests.

O summer gazebo- a cozy corner for relaxation and feast every summer resident dreams of.

Moreover, not every owner suburban area has the financial capacity to make this building luxurious and capital.

A roof over your head and protection from the wind are the two main tasks that an inexpensive summerhouse for a summer residence should perform. How to build this structure with minimal cost We will discuss money and personal time in this article.

What materials can you use?

The simpler the design than cheaper material and the less its consumption, the more profitable the construction. Following this golden rule, we will consider options for making the foundation, frame and roof of an inexpensive summer summer cottage.

Wood for all types of construction

The most affordable and easy-to-use material is wood. In a few days, you can assemble the base, frame and roof of the gazebo from it. Along the way, we note that the support frame made of timber, for which a columnar foundation is required, for budget gazebos optional.

A light canopy can be built without it by burying oak or larch posts in the ground 40-60 centimeters. To increase the resistance of wood to decay, the ends of the pillars are treated with bioprotection or simply burned over a fire for 5 minutes. After such heat treatment, the service life of the racks increases significantly.

Whoever objects to this option, let him remember history wooden architecture in Russia. In those days, not only simple log cabins, but also boyar houses were built on wooden columnar foundations.

A cheap gazebo can do without a plank floor. To do this, the area allocated for construction must be covered with fine gravel mixed with sand and tamped well. If you want to place the gazebo on the lawn, then there is no need to remove the turf. Soft grass underfoot - no artificial turf can replace it. Sunlight for normal growth of plants under such a canopy, it is enough, and rare watering of the "living floor" will not bother you.

Inexpensive wooden gazebo can be made not only from lumber. If you are going to cut a couple of old fruit trees, do not rush to let them into the wood. Parts of the trunk of an apple or pear, cherry plum or cherry are excellent stands for a summer cottage.

A picturesque frame made of trunks will look great under a roof made of wooden planks... To ensure tightness, thinner boards need to be stuffed on the seams between them, and then cover the entire roof decking an indelible antiseptic. As foundation posts, you can use hemp, uprooted after cutting the trees.

Have good master there is no waste. Therefore, all the commercial wood (boards and trimmings of logs) left over from the construction of a log house can be successfully used for the construction of a summer cottage.

Metal is expensive, we only use it for racks

Anyone who is used to doing everything thoroughly can abandon wooden posts for the frame and buy four square steel pipes(50x50 mm, wall 3 mm) of suitable length. Even without pouring a concrete columnar foundation, they will stand in the ground for at least 20 years. To save money, the roof strapping, rafters and the lower stiffening belt in this case can be made from wooden bars, attaching them to the pipes with self-tapping screws.

A more expensive capital option is drilling wells for installing cuttings of an asbestos-cement pipe with a diameter of 100 mm, pouring it with concrete and installation wooden frame we do not rule out. You can use it if you want to make a plank floor in the gazebo, raising it from the ground surface by 15-20 cm.

For installation on grass lawn the national team is optimal metal gazebo... If you are satisfied with the price, then feel free to buy such a structure and put it on the site.

Two pipes and a piece of fabric - the gazebo is ready!

Continuing the "trumpet" theme, we will give another example of an inexpensive gazebo. Two bent pipes and a piece of sturdy fabric are all that is required to make an original summer shed.

The fabric canopy replaces both the roof and the walls here. It can be moved to any side, adjusting the degree of illumination in the gazebo and covering it from wind and rain. A stationary table and benches are not needed here. But the kit is portable country furniture will come in handy.

Considering materials suitable for the construction of an inexpensive gazebo, one cannot help but. From it you can make not only the roof, but also the walls of this structure. By bending a sheet of polycarbonate in the form of an arch and fixing it on a light frame, we get a "barrel" gazebo - a popular budget option for a summer residence.

The roof of the gazebo is the head of everything!

An inexpensive roof for a light canopy can be made from metal, polycarbonate, boards or asbestos-cement slate... All of the above materials are easily and quickly mounted on a metal or wooden frame.

Those who want to build an original shingle or reed roof over the gazebo will first have to carefully study the technology and the nuances of its installation.

At competent installation wooden and thatched roofs will last 10-15 years without replacement.

Side railing - lattice or fence?

Having dealt with the foundation, pillars and roof of an inexpensive gazebo, you can go to its side fence. Cellular polycarbonate will be one of the most profitable options here.

Except him, garden gazebo may have fences made of openwork wooden lattice. It is attached to the frame pillars and the roof top trim.

If you plant climbing plants (grapes, ivy or hops) next to such a structure, then in a few years the summer cottage will look very picturesque.

Nature will generously fill an inexpensive frame made of wooden blocks with beautiful green "curtains" and will more than reward you for your efforts.

The side fence of the gazebo can be built from straight, not very thick branches using the technology of village wattle. They are woven between steel racks of thin pipes or ready-made branch "screens" are made and fixed on the main frame.

Can't build a cheap gazebo? Grow her up!

Despite the strange sound of this call, the cheapest gazebo is not built, but grown. For this, you can use willow seedlings. This tree is distinguished by its high growth rate and flexibility.

Anyone who wants to build a gazebo cheaply and can wait until it grows up should plant willow branches along its perimeter in the fall (diameter 5-15 mm, length 2-3 meters). This is how you take the first step into organic architecture... This fashionable trend is actively developing today not only in the West, but also in Russia.

By tying a kind of spatial frame from living branches, you will only have to control their growth and periodically cut willow shoots growing inward and outward.

3-4 seasons and your dacha will be decorated with a free living building, and neighbors will begin to come for advice and bring friends on excursions.

We will consider the most "expensive" option for building a summer cottage, its main stages and the total cost of materials.

As already mentioned, the most expensive design is the one that costs columnar foundation, has a wooden support frame and a plank floor.

Its construction includes several stages:

  1. Marking of points for drilling wells for pipes;
  2. Drilling with a manual pit auger 4 wells with a diameter of 150 mm and a depth of 60-70 cm;
  3. Cutting an asbestos-cement pipe "weave" into pieces and installing them in pits;
  4. Installation of reinforcing bars with a diameter of 14-16 mm in pits. From one end they need to be threaded to attach the frame;
  5. Concreting columns for the upper cut;
  6. Marking, cutting and installation of support frame beams;
  7. Plank flooring;
  8. Installation of pillars of the gazebo frame;
  9. Installation of the top trim and roof rafters;
  10. Installation roofing(polycarbonate, metal tiles, slate);
  11. Manufacturing of side rails from wooden battens.

An approximate estimate for materials for the construction of a budget gazebo with a size of 2x2 meters looks like this:

  • Cement M500 - 210 rubles. (1 bag);
  • Small crushed stone - 60 rubles (1 bag);
  • Sand - 200 rubles (3 bags);
  • Reinforcing rods diameter 14 mm, length 0.8 meters, 4 pcs. - 96 rubles.
  • A beam (section 10x10 cm) for a support frame, frame racks and roof straps - 1440 rubles. (0.3 m3 at a price of RUB 4,800 / m3);
  • Edged board for the floor - 720 rubles. (0.12 m3 at a price of 6,000 rubles / m3);
  • A bar for the roof frame, lathing and side fencing - 672 rubles. (0.14 m3 at a price of RUB 4,800 / m3);
  • Sheet material for the roof (8-wave slate) - 960 rubles. (4 sheets of 240 rubles / sheet);
  • Self-tapping screws for wood - 380 rubles. (2 kg at 190 rubles / kg).

Summing up all the costs, we get 4,738 rubles. Such an approximate amount will cost you the manufacture of a summer cottage.

Good day to all!

Today we will talk about such an element of country decor for relaxation as a gazebo.

Sooner or later, every owner suburban area besides planting worries and worries about caring for plants, he thinks about comfortable rest... A house on the site is good. However, if it is hot in summer, then sitting within the "four walls" is not very pleasant. And here the gazebo comes to the rescue.

This element is very convenient: both a roof over your head and for fresh air almost open. And if a brazier is installed in such a gazebo, then the rest will be doubly pleasant.

But, if you decide to install a gazebo on your site and do not know where to start, then in this article we will analyze all the features of this design.

First, let's decide what kind of gazebos are.

Open gazebos (standard and widespread) - easy to build, used for summer vacations;

Closed gazebos are solid structures with walls, doors and windows. They are used both in summer and winter;

Portable gazebos are seasonal collapsible structures, easily dismantled and installed anywhere.

As for the material of manufacture, there may be the most, the most various options... Classic and, at times, standard wood, brick and metal using plastic, glass and stone, as well as many so-called improvised materials: plastic bottles, wooden pallets, tree trunks, etc.

Simple and inexpensive do-it-yourself gazebos (photos and drawings)

So you've decided to build a gazebo. Where to begin? And it's best to start with a general plan of how your gazebo will look. Or is it open summer construction, or closed gazebo for use in colder periods. The choice of material and its quantity depend on this.

In addition, based on the version of the gazebo, you plan whether it will be with an earthen floor, or do wood flooring... Also, you are determined with the size of your structure. It all depends on your capabilities and the size of your site. You can make a small 3x3 m (if you need a square one), or you can grow it out in the size of a good country house.

Here we will consider simple design, which can be installed without significant cost and in a fairly short time... For example, a gazebo of this tent type:

You can have it like rectangular with two and hipped roofs:

and polygonal (six or eight). Below is a drawing of such a gazebo.

The main material for its construction will be wood.

We start by choosing a site, removing all vegetation, sod and tamping it well. After that, we move on to the foundation. Supports for the bottom harness can be made using or ready-made concrete blocks, or folded out of bricks, or use the same size logs.

We make the distance between the supports no more than 1.5-2 meters. Basically, it depends on the thickness of the timber from which the strapping is made. For example, under a beam of 100 * 100 mm, this distance will be 1.5 meters, and under a metal profile pipe 60 * 60 mm - 2 meters.

After installing the supports, we put the lower strapping on them. The strapping bar is fastened either with nails from 150 mm, or with self-tapping screws. You can also use corners to secure the bundle.

And in this version of the gazebo, a gap is left between the lower guides, where the racks are inserted, securing them with corners.

After that, in the same way, we put the upper harness. And cover the floor with a board. The main thing is that floorboards must be treated with antibacterial wood impregnation.

Now let's move on to the roof. The installation option depends on which type you have chosen. If you are doing a simple gable or flat roof, then you can use the following triangles:

If you have a more complex roof configuration like this one:

then, accordingly, when installing the top harness, you are planning the fastening for such a roof.

All work is done, and the frame of your gazebo is ready. Now all that remains is to sheathe it suitable material... If you decide that your gazebo will be entirely made of wood, then you will also sheathe the walls and the roof with wood. Basically, this is a lining, which can later be painted or just processed. You can make a roof either from soft tiles, or from a metal profile.

Below are some more drawings of a simple wooden gazebo.

And here are shown design options, in my opinion, quite original and not very difficult to perform.

Gazebo with barbecue for a summer residence - an inexpensive project with a photo

As mentioned earlier, the grill installed in the gazebo makes the rest more attractive, especially if you are with friends. There are two ways to make a gazebo with barbecue. In the first version, you put the barbecue in a ready-made gazebo, and in the second version, you install the gazebo over the barbecue. It all depends on what you already have.

Below are several drawings of such gazebos.

And the following photos show options for gazebos with barbecue.

If you are doing both a brazier and a gazebo at the same time, then when installing the lower trim of the gazebo, do not forget to dig the foundation for the brazier in the selected place of the gazebo.

Gazebo project with barbecue and barbecue

Basically, a gazebo with barbecue and barbecue is no different from the previous options. The only difference is in the design of the oven itself. Or is it just a barbecue, or together with a barbecue.

If you install a stove in the gazebo, then the gazebo itself for the sake of fire safety it is best to build from bricks. An example of such gazebos schemes is shown below.

You can also make a gazebo out of wrought iron, such as this option:

There are a lot of different options for gazebos, the main thing is to choose what you like and where it would be cozy and comfortable.

Good luck with your construction and design!
